The first-floor apartment overlooks the quiet Manor courtyard and is full of character, with high ceilings and striking original features including impressive three-metre-high sash windows.
The apartment offers a spacious and practical layout, ideal for families or groups of up to 4 adults. The living room and dining areas are bright and welcoming, with comfortable leather seating, free Wi-Fi, and a widescreen Smart TV. The dining area comfortably seats everyone for meals and relaxed evenings. Subtle touches of handmade wooden furniture add warmth throughout the apartment.
A particular benefit is the large, separate galley kitchen, fully fitted with modern appliances including an oven, hob, fridge, separate freezer, microwave, toaster, and dishwasher. The kitchen also features a dedicated utility area housing the washing machine and providing additional workspace and storage, ideal for longer stays.
The master bedroom features a king-size bed, a mix of modern and handmade furniture, plenty of hanging and storage space and the bedsides equipped with USB charging points for convenience. A highchair and cot are provided. The second bedroom has twin beds. A fold-up bed is also available in the living room by prior arrangement for a small additional fee.
The modern, high-spec bathroom includes a bath with power shower and an illuminated electric mirror.
The apartment is accessed via a gravel pathway from the ample parking area, leading through the private Manor courtyard and into the building. A recently installed EV charging point in the main car park offers a 22.1 kW Chargepoint facility for up to two vehicles at any one time.
From mid-February to the end of October, families can enjoy a wide range of on-site facilities, including an indoor heated swimming pool just 50 metres from the apartment, a sauna, bar and restaurant, café, small shop, games room, tennis courts, mini golf, and a children’s play area. The Manor House apartments share a private garden at the front of the house, providing a spacious area for children to play and for parents to relax.
Kenegie Manor has been sympathetically restored, offering a peaceful setting for both relaxing family breaks and active holidays. The surrounding grounds enjoy spectacular views towards the ocean and St Michael’s Mount.
The location is ideal for days out, with Penzance, Land's End, and the fishing villages of St Ives, Mousehole, and Newlyn all nearby. St Ives is easily reached and is home to the Tate Gallery and Barbara Hepworth Museum, while beaches such as Sennen, Gwithian, Carbis Bay, Porthmeor, and Porthcurno are all within easy driving distance. Popular attractions including the Minack Theatre, Eden Project, and the National Seal Sanctuary are also close at hand.
Guests benefit from contact-free check-in via a secure lockbox and the apartment is within walking distance of a local pub, and major supermarkets including Sainsbury’s, Tesco, and Morrisons are conveniently nearby.

Sorry to hear that you found the grounds tired, at the time of your stay (March) the season had really just commenced and work on the estate begins to gather pace. Also, the Manor is located on a private park, which it shares with other privately owned properties including barn conversions, cottages and bungalows.

Our second stay at this apartment. As before, the stay was fantastic. The apartment is like a home from home. Perfect location for exploring Cornwall. No problems apart from an issue with the shower which was fixed within hours of reporting it. Thanks again for a great stay

Dry well appointed
With little doubt the quality of this very well appointed apartment is the very best we have stayed in. Exceptionally clean, plenty of room for the four is us, it could easily accept six. Well decorated, great appliances, and rooms. The surrounding grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Own transport will make matters easier but there are local taxis and buses usually available.

Great apartment
The apartment was in a nice quiet location within Kenegie Manor Park. Spacious, well furnished & very clean property. We were able to explore many of the stunning beaches to the north & south of the property. perfect!
The facilities at the park itself are a little rundown & tired but as the private rental of owners apartment was our reason for booking we were happy. Thankyou

A very attractive apartment within a historic manor house
A very attractive apartment within a historic manor house. The fixtures and fittings included everything we needed. The swimming pool and tennis courts / free use of equipment were a great bonus. Only slight disappointment was that the hot tub in the pol complex was out of order, and apparently has been for several weeks.
We would certainly return to this lovely apartment.

Another good holiday
This the second time that we have been at this accommodation and it was exactly as we remembered it from last time. There is a dishwasher and a washing machine however no cleaning products for using are provided so remember to bring dishwasher tablets and washing machine pods is you intend to use either of them.
The flat is extremely comfortable and warm with very little noise from the surrounding flats.
There is a club house on site if you want food and drink without cooking however i would recommend walking down the hill to Gulval to the local inn The Coldsteamer if you want excellent food with a local ambiance.
Another enjoyable stay and would certainly stay again in the future.

It's unfortunate to hear that there was no dishwasher tablets, we don't tend to leave washing machine tablet and liquid but we do normally as part of the welcome pack leave cleaning cloths, a sponge and a handful of tablets for the dishwasher so sorry these weren't provided on this occasion. However, we are glad you had another good holiday in the apartment and welcome you back again soon.

A perfect family holiday
The apartment was spacious, clean and light, and perfect for my family of 5. Tucked away in a wonderful courtyard we couldn't have asked for more. The beds were comfy and the kitchen well equipped for every need. We were direct by the restaurant and bar but there was no loud noise at all. The owners were always available for any questions via email. The actual site was quiet and perfect for young families. The bar and restaurant staff were nothing but brilliant, polite and always accommodating. The pool was small but again brilliant for my kids. Penzance, supermarkets and the beach were within five minutes drive. All in all our family could not fault anything and we highly recommend this accommodation and holiday site.

Great holiday flat!
The flat was as described, and everything was provided as promised. The place was clean and quite well-maintained - one or two things didn't work (such as the bathroom extractor fan and the double bedroom's ceiling light) but nothing that detracted from comfort and convenience. The owner left us a pint of milk in the fridge when we arrived which was greatly appreciated after the long journey. (And there was enough dish washer tablets provided which was also a great convenience!) It would have been nice to have two keys to the flat than just one. The swimming pool was good fun, and the bar/pub on site was also a great convenience.
Nearby attractions that we really enjoyed: Penzance's Jubilee Pool and Chysauster. We also walked to Marazion to St Michael's Mount. A short drive away - we really enjoyed the Telegraph Museum at Porthcurno and the Barbara Hepworth Museum at St Ives. And all the lovely beaches.
I would definitely recommend this flat!

Many thanks for your review and kind recommendation. We must apologies for the light not working in the bedroom, albeit there are two bedside lamps in the room this should have been working and would encourage our guests in future to inform the housekeeper who would have replaced the bulb. With regards to the extractor fan, again this could have been brought to the attention of the housekeeper, however since your stay, we have been to the property and the extractor fan seems to be working fine, this does need to be turned on (switch above the bathroom door) in order for it to work.

Wonderful Apartment!
We could not have been more impressed with this beautiful apartment set in the most wonderful grounds. This was beyond a doubt the nicest and best equipped holiday rental property we have ever stayed in (even provided tea coffee/dishwasher tablets etc). Beds were the most comfortable and along with a fantatic powerful shower we could not have been more impressed.
I would highly recommend this property to anyone, as it was situated well to explore Cornwall. The Minack theatre was wonderfull and the show was excellent, DO NOT MISS boat trips from the Albert pier in Penzance ! over 3 hours and saw porpoises, basking sharks and seals. If travelling around definately go to Rick Steins pub the Cornish Arms just outside Padstow fab food very very reasonable, also Padstow itself is beautiful and worth a visit. Seal santuary is also a must see. St Ives and Perinporth a real dissapointment very tacky.
All in all A wonderful apartment in a wonderful building in a fantastic area, would recommend to everyone.

Wouldn't stay there again!
Descriptions of the property seemed misleading in many ways. For instance, it was states that there was a pool, but once we got there we discovered that the hours limited to the times we would be out and about during the daytime. Open only a couple of hours in the morning and a couple in the afternoon. As a result, we only were able to use the pool once and had to cancel another activity to do so. Also states in the description was that there was a washer and dryer. There was a washer in the apartment, but the dryer was in another building and cost £6 a load. No places to put suitcases, and just not up to par.

Thanks for taking time to write your review, I’m disappointed that you found your stay not as enjoyable as you expected. I know that early in your holiday we spoke concerning your complaint about the weather being too hot, I apologised, and explained that the whole of the UK was experiencing a heatwave. It is also disappointing that you didn’t raise these review points with us directly, either on the initial contact or on the follow up calls I made to you.
It surprises me to learn from your review that you were unaware of the pool opening times, when these are clearly stated on the Holiday Instructions that were provided to you prior to your stay. The Pool whilst not managed directly by us, is free to use by our guests as a complimentary facility and is open between 10:00 to 12:45 and 14:00 to 18:00.
Our Property description states there is a washing machine not washer and dryer, and advises there are dryers on the Kenegie Manor site if they should be required. It is also a shame that you believed there was nowhere to put your suitcases, whilst we don’t have specific suitcase racks, there is ample space in the bedrooms for such items.
This review came as a surprise as whilst I was made aware of the complaint concerning the hot weather the other points were not raised at the time, which hopefully we have now answered. We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of accommodation and service which is enjoyed by our guests and is hopefully reflected in our reviews.

Excellent well equipped and well situated apartment
Spacious and comfortable, this property is in an ideal location to explore SW Cornwall. It has everything you need for self catering and the galley kitchen is well laid out and very well equipped. The high ceilings in the lounge enhance the spaciousness. The bathroom is very good and the main bed very comfortable. Communication with both the property manager and the owner was very easy. I highly recommend this property.

The 11 acres of grounds are professionally managed and maintained all year round, however we recognise your visit was during February, so the only reason we can think the grounds were potentially not looking their best, could be due to the recent storms.

Me and my partner had absolutely amazing stay. Nicola (host) was very kind and helpful over the phone. The apartment was very clean and huge.
The Manor is well situated but would recommend more for people with car. There is no pavement leading to town and the road is too dangerous to walk but we didn't mind calling taxi. It's not that far away from town. I would definitely come back and recommend to friends!

I do agree the walk down to the town via the road is difficult, but there is a footpath, which is signed posted and opposite the entrance to the estate which goes directly to the coastline through Gulval village. We would recommend using this if walking.

The place was amazing. It was out of season being Christmas and new year but we had an amazing time.
We used this as a base to venture out and explore. Lands end, Lizard point, st Ives. Bodmin jail ect ect.
The property was faultless. They provided exactly what we asked for and more.

We really enjoyed our stay and cleaning staff were helpful in replacing a few items really quickly

Enjoyable stay on a holiday park
The Vrbo online listing didn’t make it clear that this is a private apartment within a larger holiday park. However it was still mostly quiet and a good location close to Penzance. The beds were comfy (the pillows far too hard and uncomfortable!), lots of space to relax and a well equipped kitchen too. Thank you!

Thank you for your review, I'm glad you had an enjoyable stay in our apartment.
Our listing details that the Manor house is set within a private park with complimentary facilities. The park itself is a quiet retreat housing both residents and holiday guests.
I'm glad you found the apartment had plenty of space to relax and the beds comfortable, its a shame the pillows, which are new and of hotel standard, were not to your liking, we will check these in light of your review.

This Apartment is situated in a very quiet and peaceful location, its large enough for the whole family to relax in, it's unique as it is perfectly placed to discover the western tip of Cornwall, and is very close to picturesque places such as Mousehole, St Ives, Penzance, Newlyn, Marazion, St Just and the iconic magical island of St Michaels Mount. Also, the on site facilities within the private park are just a few metres from Kenegie Manor, and guest are free to use the heated swimming pool, there is also a Nordic Sauna, Hot tub, small shop, cafe, bar and restaurant, tennis courts, games room and children's play area.

This Grade II listed building has some beautiful features, its tasteful modern interior, incorporates some historic features of the Manor such as the 3 metre high sash windows and very high ceilings. Free access to a Heated pool and other amenities.
