Surfer Hot Spot

What a complete fun surprise to have such talent surfing views right from your balcony in the AM and PM. The location is excellent: Swimming off the Pier where the Kona Ironman starts was a special treat. Buoys abound to mark your swim. If you prefer 25 yards, the free access to the Kona Aquatic Center was another nice surprise. Within 2 miles of Walmart, Kona Coffee Shops, Safeway, Small business village. Everything was wonderful.

Solid Condo, great location

This place is quaint. Plenty of space for 2 people. The view is amazing. Great location but that is about it. I would not stay here again. Needs some updating.

A little piece of paradise

Location is wonderful! It is a unique condo, very spacious with ocean views that cannot be beaten. We were very comfortable and didn't want to leave.

Great Condo on the Ocean

We had a really nice time staying at 404 Banyan Tree. The condo was a described. The views were beautiful, and it was well located for all of our travel around the Kona area. Worth noting, the condo does not have AC. It never got above 81 in the place, so we were perfectly content, but this might be a little warm for some folks. Just rent with this knowledge in hand, as it's a great place but could be too warm for some in the summer.

The lanai (aka balcony) is a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast or cocktails. The kitchen includes a toaster, coffee maker, stovetop, oven, and microwave. It is close to both ends of Ali'i, and there's a convenience store within walking distance. Another market, directly across the street, is being refurbished. All in all, a really nice place to stay.

Beautiful, Clean, and Well-managed

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As others have said, this place was beautiful. The cleaning crew did an amazing job before we arrived. Knutson management were excellent, quick to respond, and I would not hesitate to rent a condo from them again. The kitchen has a good stove and really good cookware, which is a nice change from most rentals. Odd that there were only 2 wineglasses and they were mismatched, but that isn’t super important. The only issue was that the binders with condo instructions were thick and outdated. We found it hard to dig through all the pages and discover what is relevant and what wasn’t. They mention water jugs. Didn’t see them. Couldn’t access the 2nd floor storage unit to look for beach stuff. But you can tell the actual owners of this beautiful unit clearly want everyone to enjoy it the way they have, and that inspires you to take care of it for them.

Amazing view-Great location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay at this condo. The sunsets and moon sets were amazing! We also enjoyed the surfers every day. The location was very convenient, close enough to town but away from the busy area which makes it easy to head out in any direction. The unit was clean, spacious and bed was comfortable (which was a big plus). We enjoyed our meals on the lanai but the outdoor furniture wasn't very comfortable. The lack of AC did lead to a few uncomfortable nights even though the unit had ceiling fans and another large fan they didn’t cool the unit down much. Before our arrival I asked the management company if there was a small cooler, beach towels, or portable beach chairs that we could take off the property. I was told there may be chairs in the storage area on the 2nd floor but no cooler or towels so I packed our beach towels. When we arrived, I checked the storage areas and they were either locked or nothing in them. The unit ended up having a small cooler and a couple beach towels. It would have been nice if there were a couple portable beach chair to take to the various beaches on the island. We had an issue with the kitchen faucet and reached out to Knutson & Associates. They were very responsive and had a repair person out the same day. All in all it was a great unit for our stay great.

Blue lint

Although we had a great time, every time we showered, we got blue lint all over us from the new towels. They should have been laundered before putting them out for our use.
