A Private Oasis in the Movie Colony

Olive Oasis is tucked away in the unique Movie Colony of Palm Springs. You can relax in the pool or spa while enjoying the vast desertscape and sloping mountains. The house is less than a 5 minute drive away from a collection of casinos, shops, galleries and restaurants galore. Many Hollywood legends enjoyed the charm and mystery of this area, and some still do. Join them; head to Olive Oasis for a relaxing and unforgettable stay in Palm Springs.

Our beautiful mid-century modern house is completely renovated and fully furnished and comes with the amenities and comforts you would need on a vacation. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. There is a colorful living room, spacious game room, open dining room, and beautiful kitchen. The private backyard is surrounded by tall hedges, so you can enjoy the spa, pool, fire pit, and grill in peace.

For security reasons, there are two forward-facing cameras in the front yard.

We loved the plentiful luggage racks, an uncommon feature. We loved all the beach towels plus extras, also uncommon. The products provided and the nice bedding and well stocked kitchen was great- lots of coffee mugs :) Reaching out to Bill and getting responses could not have been easier, he was very attentive and dealt with some issues immediately.

The house is spotless, well maintained, nicely furnished, comfortable, and well stocked with utensils and supplies. Quality sheets and towels. Everything worked well. The neighborhood is quiet and pretty, close to a beautiful park and conveniently located.The owner and the property manager responded quickly to all of our inquiries. Very nice people. The whole process was smooth.We would definitely recommend this home.

First and foremost, the owner and manager of this VBRO are the most responsive and willing to address concerns than any of the many VBROs that we have rented from in the past. My wife and I rented this VBRO for a week over Christmas with our 5 grown kids. The second day, the water heater broke and within hours the manager got us a new water heater installed on December 22nd. And, in addition, got a pool person to come and make sure the hot tub heat was set appropriately. To top it off, the owner apologized for our inconvenience and gave us a small refund for our trouble. That is amazing customer service !! The place itself is just as described. There are comfortable beds , a well stocked kitchen, an entertainment room full of books and games, a living room with a beautiful fireplace as well as a nicely landscaped pool and hot tub area. There is also a great gas fire pit which was nice on a cool evening. The location of the VBRO was close to the center of town and the airport. We enjoyed a wonderful family Christmas here and would stay here again in the future and recommend this place for anyone coming to Palm Springs.

The house was very nice and well maintained. Plenty of room to spread out and had good sleeping arrangements.Kitchen was well stocked with plates and utensils. Bill the manager was very nice and helpful. The host answered all our questions and got back to us right away. We look forward to a return visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family get together at The Private Oasis. It was a very comfortable clean house with the pool and spa. It was also in a desirable location close to downtown Palm Springs, shops and grocery stores.

Excellent stay

Overall a great experience. We loved the house and the quiet neighborhood. The house was extremely well stocked, we wanted for nothing. Check in was a breeze - Bill was friendly, efficient and communicative. If we return to Palm Springs for another vacation we would definitely consider Olive Oasis.

Early Summer Getaway

Great place to relax and recharge

Great sequestered bedrooms and overall layout of the home. The pool and hot tub are well maintained. Great location close enough to the local night life but far enough to get away as well. The property manager was helpful and very informative.

Wonderful Property, No Music Outside

We absolutely loved our stay at the property, however we were surprised to find that upon arrival we had to sign additional paperwork stating we would not listen to any music outdoors, even on our phones at a low volume. We weren’t looking to “party” but we were hoping to have some background music played outdoors while we were enjoying the beautiful outdoor space/pool area. We did feel like this rule was not explicitly outlined in the listing, or we probably would have stayed elsewhere. Everything else was incredible, the property was clean and well maintained and our property manager Bill was so helpful and responsive! if you are looking for a totally silent place to hang out- this is it!

Great place for a girls getaway. Clean, comfortable, beautifully landscaped with hedges for privacy. Pool, hot tub and fire pit all relaxing. Nicely situated in movie colony. Bill, the property manager, was INCREDIBLY responsive.Loved our stay!!

Amazing Place

We had the best time staying here! We stayed for coachella weekend and it was the perfect spot for me and my friends. The house was super clean and had all the amenities you would need. It really felt like you were staying at someone’s actual house with how much stuff they had available. The kitchen was fully stocked with items to use for cooking. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Dream House

Staying in this house was wonderful, relaxing, and very private. The house had everything we needed and the pool area was an oasis. This is the first house we have stayed in (over 12 years) where the hot tub/pool heat worked the way we were instructed and so simply! We all agreed we would love to stay here again.

Extended family time at the Private Oasis in the Movie Colony

Our stay was lovely, with a well stocked home perfect for cooking and within walking distance to any restaurant in downtown Palm Springs. The pool, hot tub, grill, and fire pit were in great shape and we used them every day along with plush towels and throw blankets perfect for a cool night. The beds are very comfortable, and there are a variety of pillow types to accommodate your preferences. Paper products were well stocked, along with great shampoo, conditioner, and soap options. We would stay at this home again.
