Aloha, and a warm welcome to our spacious (818 sq ft) condo located in the Kamaole Sands Resort located in South Kihei directly across the street from the famous Kamaole Beach Park III. The condo is located in building 4 on the third floor, away from the busy part of the resort, offering lots of privacy. Enjoy beautiful mountain views from the bedroom and partial ocean views from our large, shaded lanai. There are tile floors throughout and two newly remodeled bathrooms. There are air conditioners in both the living room and a portable a/c in the bedroom, plus ceiling fans to keep you cool. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a large Smart TV in the living-room, plus a 43 inch smart TV in the bedroom, both with free cable.

ABOUT KAMAOLE SANDS RESORT:
Kamaole Sands has been voted the "Best Condominium Complex on Maui" three times by the travel industry. This upscale property is located in beautiful, sunny South Kihei. The complex is set on 15 acres of lush tropical gardens, including fountains and waterfalls. This property is within walking distance of nearby beaches, restaurants and shopping.
Kamaole Sands features a pool area, outdoor showers, lounge chairs, two separate Jacuzzis, a kid's wading pool and a game area with table tennis as well as an exercise room. Nine BBQ areas are spread throughout the property, with one being right next to our building. There are also 2 tennis courts and 3 pickle ball courts on property.

Reservation not secured until the 25% deposit is received. Payment can be made conveniently online. Balance is due 30 days prior to arrival. A reservation confirmation code will be e-mailed to you after final payment has been received.
Our on island agent is Maui Condo & Home located in South Kihei, in case you need assistance of any kind.

All guests need to check in at the front desk to receive their assigned free parking spot and check in paperwork.

Check in is after 4 p.m. and Check out is 11:00 am.
Late checkout available for an additional fee if requested at time of reservation.

Our host Helli was very quick to respond to any issues, and that was greatly appreciated. Though it says partial ocean view, it is minimal and should not be part of the selling feature. While the furniture looked cute, you could tell it was older and the couch was incredibly squeaky. A few things to update the place would be to purchase new knives for the kitchen, none of the ones there could cut much. The oven seemed off. When we cooked our frozen fries as per the recipe, 30 minutes at 425, we actually had to cook them for over an hour. It was nice that the owner leaves beach chairs, cooers and an umbrella, but they all need an update. the Umbrella was broken when we got down to the beach and clearly taped up by a previous renter. The location was great, and the property was really beautifully maintained and the pool area was great. The wifi in the bedroom was non-existent but was fine in the rest of the condo.

We are always aiming to keep our guests satisfied,and try to respond quickly to any issues. Granted the ocean view is off in the distance, but nevertheless it is very pleasant to sit on the large shaded lanai and relax with a glass of wine. Awesome Place to Stay

Amazing location with good partial ocean view and a good view of the West Maui Mountains. Stayed here for 9 nights. Good location close to everything you need. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Location

The location is perfect. Easy access to beaches, shopping and restaurants. The property has great amenities and activities. The condo itself was clean and had everything we needed for a family vacation, including beach chairs and umbrellas. Great communication from the owner.

Kamaole Sands Stay 2/6 to 2/15/2024

Overall we are happy with our stay. We typically stay very active and do not spend much time in the unit. However, we very much enjoyed the grounds and the pool! The unit itself was a bit outdated and should be updated.

Our January Respite from the Cold

Condo met out needs as we do not come to Maui to sit in condo. The major negative was the traffic noise. The housekeeping staff could do a better job with the lanai floor and also the tops and bottoms of the glass tables. We greatly appreciated being able to stay in your condo and will definitely be back to Kamaole Sands. This was our 8th trip to Maui and 6 times to Kamaole Sands.

Overall it was fine. the condo was well equipped. Location is good convenient to what we do. Two problems of note first the road in front of our condo was busy and noisy. Second cleaning could be better i.e. the touch points on the cupboard doors were greasy and sticky.

Thank you for staying at our condo and finding it well equipped. Luckily the road is on the living room side only, and it is very quiet on the bedroom side.

Perfect Location and Lanai

We stayed at the property for three weeks and the location is excellent. Kamaole III beach is directly across the road and there are numerous restaurants within walking distance. The condo was fully stocked with all that was needed to facilitate our stay. The online profile is accurate. The lanai is quite large and the beach chairs were very good. We had very prompt communication with our host. The property has ample BBQ's and the pool area was easy to access. The condo floor does need a good cleaning and we discussed this with our host. We expect this will be handled and we would stay at this property again.

Condo in need of a renovation

This condo unit has not had any renovations done since it was built. Everything is dated and worn out. The complex is huge and only has one small pool. Many times there were no chairs available around the pool and it was never quite. This complex is very popular with families.

While the unit has not been totally remodeled, it has been renovated where necessary. Yes, the Kamaole Sands resort is large with a total of 15 acres of well groomed lush outdoor areas. The pool is a decent size pool, in the pool area there is also a separate kiddie wading pool and there are two jacuzzi's one for families and one for adults. Since Kamaole Sands is a family resort, there will be children in the pool area during the day. Helli

The TV in the bedroom needs to be replaced. Very old & difficult to get to what I want to see. A/C in the bedroom is very very loud. Have to turn it off when go to bed. Everything else is fine.

The property was suitable, but after a long day of traveling we finally get to the property and the AC wasn't working. I'm not staying in a property in Hawaii with no AC. The front desk was very little help and not interested in doing anything for us. The owner was great and responsive quickly giving us a refund, but how much can you do remotely? We did not stay, got other accommodations on VERY short notice. Still waiting on a complete refund from Vrbo.

So sorry the a/c broke down without prior warning. I found out that there was a problem the day of your arrival and was unable to purchase and install a new a/c until the next day. Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused you.

We loved the condo!

This was our third time in building 4, but first time in this condo. We were completely happy and will likely return if the dates fit. Having two bathrooms sets this condo development apart from the others. The unit was extremely clean and well prepared for our arrival. We never needed AC, as the airflow through the whole unit was amazing with the lanai, front door and bedroom window open. The lanai was one of the larger square-shaped ones, so the roominess and functionality were great. We fit six people around the lanai table, although two of the chairs out there were oversized so it was a bit tight. The lanai had a full overhead cover and was in shade 100% of the time. It's not a great view but it completely met out needs, Our main activity in Maui is morning snorkeling, and having the fantastic Kam beaches and all the many great snorkeling spots in south Maui is amazing. In general, the location is just perfect (we have tried many), with the fantastic beaches, a bunch of easily walkable food places and the fantastic beach-town vibe in south Kihei. The condo was very well-equipped, with plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, umbrella and kitchen items. We really appreciated having both a traditional and Keurig-style coffee maker - thanks Helli. Lastly, Helli was extremely responsive and great to work with overall.

Ok Condo

Registration was quick and easy. We enjoyed the pool and the grounds. Also, the beach being right across the street was very handy and a very nice beach. The BBQ's were great and were always very clean. This condo could use a little updating. Lighting in the Master Bath needs to be better (maybe just a bulb change). The sheets were very thin. We only had 2 washcloths, for two people that was very inconvenient. There were no pot holders that we could find so we purchased a couple and left them for the next guest. The floors were extremely dirty. They looked clean, but after only two hours of wearing no shoes, the bottoms of our feet were BLACK !! I found a mop and proceeded to wet mop the entire condo. After that we had no problems with dirty feet. A good mopping once a week is all it took to keep it clean. Probably should be addressed with the cleaning people. We were going to try sleeping on the pullout couch so we could enjoy the fresh air coming in from the Lanai--but could not get the couch to open. Not sure if there is a trick to make that happen but we never did figure it out. We bought a blow up mattress and a pump which we left in the bedroom closet. The road noise got very loud at times with the locals using the street outside the Lanai. Kamaole Sands is a nice facility which we would stay at again, but probably not in this condo.

Sehr geräumige Wohnung mit zentraler Lage

Die Wohnung war genau so wie beschrieben, sehr geräumig und sie hatte eine perfekte Lage. Die Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet, das Zusatzmaterial (Strandstühle, Strandtücher, Kühlbox etc.) war sehr praktisch und die Resortanlage mit Pool und Fitness war sehr schön.

We absolutely loved the resort and enjoyed being right across the street from Kamaole Beach Park III which is a wonderful beach. The beach is great for sun-bathing, there is a large grassy area and there is a sandy beach as well, there is a kid's playground, bathrooms and shower facilities and there is a lifeguard on duty. Snorkeling, Swimming and body-surfing are great here.
