Galveston retreats is a wonderful place to slip away from the stress and hustle and bustle of life and live on island time! Fun kids' room and relaxing master and guest rooms. Three short blocks from the beach. You can hear the waves from the porch. We have a full kitchen with a coffee maker and a Keurig. Open kitchen and living space. One King, One Queen and two full and two twin beds. Sofa pulls out into a bed. Each bedroom has a TV with Roku streaming device and Cable TV in the living room. Internet provided.

The place was really nice and clean. A home with a lot of love in it. Owners were amazing and so sweet and prompt when needed. Will definitely recommend and use again!

Excellent House

Although the bunk beds are not conducive for adult sleeping, there are no complaints with our stay. We extremely enjoyed our stay. The house is conveniently located to the beach, a store and just a short drive to the seawall.

Good family vacation

My family and I spend the weekend after Labor day at this house to spend some time away from the daily routine. The house is comfortable and have plenty space for a large family. Kids loved the ocean experience also the house is just within walking distance. We have a good time and we definitely recommend this place.

Fun 4th of July celebration

Great house. Nice neighborhood. About a seven minute quiet walk to a good part of the beach. We were pleasantly surprised to get to see a firework show from the backyard!

Great stay

Small bbq pit took a really long time to cook for a house full of people. Check in time was later than advertised. Group before us filled the trash cans and we had to haul our trash away instead of using trash cans that should have been available. Roku's did not work but in the living room and missing batteries in 3/4 of the remotes Kitchen area supper clean with everything we needed to live for the week. Had a blast small walk to the beach but lots of fun. We would go back again.

Negative!!

This lady is not a nice person and is very adapt in not refunding deposits!! She stated the rugs had to be washed?? She left nothing stating please launder the rugs, clean the bathroom, wash down the cabinets, which is why she will not refund my deposit! I wish I could post the pictures of the cabinets!! They were just as when we got there! Will not be staying there again!!

Nice Location

The property was a great location right off the seawall. The pics doesnt do any justice to actually going to the house, it was very homey. We stayed this pass weekend for Lone Star.

Family vacation

Our family had a great vacation. It was our first time renting this property. We enjoyed the house, it has everything we needed to feel comfortable, the neighborhood is nice and quiet and the beach is just a 5 minute walk. Will consider it for our next vacation. Thank you!

We had a great time all and all.

We did have a good time there was plenty of room for everyone which was nice. Aswell as a great location. With that being said we felt the price was to high for a property in such disrepair. Master bath had big path of paint peeling from the walls aswell the floor boards aren't even connected to each other properly the railings on the deck are not secure felt if we leaned on them they would fall over ontop of the house having a major ant issue. The host on the other hand where very kind and hospitable over all we might consider this property in the future after some changes are made.

4th of July Vacay

This was our 2nd stay at this house. We really enjoy this house due to itā€™s location and beach access. It is farther down away from all of the crowds and there beach is just a 5 minute walk and not overly crowded with people. The neighbor hood is nice and quiet as well. Our family had a wonderdul stay!

Family Beach Trip

My family and I wanted to spend the weekend at the beach as our kids love the beach! We wanted to stay in a house instead of a hotel because we were bringing my Mom along with us. The house was perfect for my family of 7! The kids all stayed in the kids room each of the 4 having a bed, my mom had a queen bed, and we had a king bed. The space was perfect! The pictures of the house were exactly what the house looked like. It was in walking distance of the beach which was perfect. We made multiple trips to the beach during out weekend trip. My kids loved being able to walk there at night! I could not of asked for a better place to stay and nicer ownerā€™s to allow us to stay in their home. We are wanting to go back again but stay longer next time!

Great weekend

The house was very close to the beach. Beach was nice, not over crowded like on the sea wall. Checking in and out was very easy. House was older but was very clean and welcoming. Nice quite neighborhood. Really enjoyed our stay.

Stay was excellent we have a good time with our family first trip together .

4th of July family time

We had a family get-together in Galveston with my sisters family for their 40th Anniversary (who stayed at a separate house a couple blocks away). House worked for us (lots of kitchen appliances, utensils, etc, that you donā€™t normally find at other rentals), walk to the beach was as noted in the notes (of course, we came during the week of the 4th and incurred rain ā˜”ļø) - so didnā€™t get to enjoy the outdoor furniture on the balcony, but did enjoy the use of the grill for the family BBQā€™s. Very enjoyable family time!!
