Waterfront Cottage , 5 Bedrooms & Boathouse

Our family cottage has everything you would want for a perfect vacation or a relaxing weekend and is available all year round. It has a western exposure for beautiful sunsets and it offers a great lakeside boathouse with a deck and attached dock, an offshore swim platform, deep water, a small shallow area with a sandy bottom for the kids, and great fishing. It is located on a large finger lake with many small islands, bays and 100 km of shoreline to explore. This cozy waterfront cottage boasts a stone fireplace in the great room and a gas fireplace in the walkout basement, a fully equipped and updated kitchen, 5 nicely decorated bedrooms and a sun room. Letā€™s not forget our beautiful lakeside boathouse, which has a stereo, bar fridge, sofa, and chairs; the perfect hang-out place for all summer long. The property has a full size dock, a sun deck by the water, a deck fronting the cottage, and a fire pit. A canoe, 2 kayaks, & paddle board are at your disposal during your stay. The cottage is located on beautiful Manitouwabing Lake only 2.5 hours from Toronto or about 90 minutes north of Barrie just up Highway 400 to Parry Sound. The cottage is fully winterized and is situated on an island which is accessible by car year round via a causeway. Parry Sound is only 15 minutes away, with a Hospital, medical clinic, large grocery stores and a selection of great restaurants.

Great Spot, lovely cottage! Excellent if you are looking for somewhere close to The Ridge at Manitou. Lots of included amenities. Having a dishwasher at the cottage was great for our group.

wonderful family bonding at the lake!

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at this beautiful cottage property. The cottage is incredibly comfortable and super well-equipped. It suited our two families perfectly! The children (and kids at heart!) loved having daily swims off the dock and exploring the trees and rocks on the shore. The owner was also very responsive to a small but pressing issue we contacted him about during our stay. We couldn't have asked for a nicer cottage experience (and this is coming from a group of seasoned cottagers!). We hope to be back!

Amazing experience

From start to finish, our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. The cottage was just as advertised, even more beautiful in person. We hope to make staying here an annual thing after we enjoyed ourselves so much. Beautiful location. Only regret was only staying two nights. Thank you for your hospitality!

Excellent Stay

Our 2 families had an fantastic 4 day weekend at the Mooz. Everything in the write-up was exactly as stated. On arrival we noticed the swim platform was still on shore but the owner explained the winds the weekend before didn't allow him to place it. They attended the next day and placed the platform so the kids were pumped. Very nice property.

A may long weekend for all ages!!

Dave and Manon were so easy to communicate right from the get-go. It was our first cottage rental, so I had lots of questions which they were so prompt with and patient in answering. The cottage itself is beautiful. Ideally situated on the water, perfect sandy beach area for our young kids to play in, lots of water sports to offer, and well stocked kitchen. It was great that there was a variety of indoor activities as well for when it rained. We had plenty of space, the cottage was clean, and we loved our stay here. Will definitely keep this place in mind for future bookings. Thanks for a wonderful stay ā¤ļø

Excellent stay. Comfortable, clean cottage with everything we needed and more. Plenty of room for 9. Ice fishing was slow (1 pike), but it was fun trying.

Beautiful cottage

The location was excellent and the property beautiful. The cottage had everything you could possibly need. Lots of outdoor places to sit both in the sun and shade. Only caution would be getting down to the lake is a bit difficult for anyone who might have mobility issues. So happy we chose this cottage!

Mooz is Amazing!

What a treasure! Just the right amount of comfort and coziness So many cute little spaces to unwind and relax. We loved the birds and squirrels kibitzing over the feeder. Canā€™t wait to come back. Lots of games, reading material and a kitchen thst is fully equipped for cooking up some Amazing meals. One of the best rentals Iā€™ve ever stayed in.

Beautiful Cottage

My husband and I visited this cottage for a quick getaway from the city. The pictures do not do this place justice. The cottage has everything that you would need to enjoy a nice vacation. We definitely plan on coming back and bringing the kids. Fishing off the dock was awesome. Lots of pike and walleye. What a wonderful weekend.

Cosy cottage with all the modern conveniences.

We had a short but very comfortable stay. Mooz Cottage was a great choice for us because we were in the area specifically to play golf nearby. Since that activity took up most of our day we didn't get to fully appreciate everything that the cottage had to offer. I have to say the kitchen is very well equipped (except for the lack of a microwave) and there are lots of games and things to do. Beds are very comfortable. We had a lovely stay.

Wonderful Stay!

The lake is perfection. Quiet, weed free, many entry points. The kids loved the cayak and the little sand beach. The cottage is not your typical cottage - it is a lake house! Goregous and roomy! Will be booking again.

A Piece of Heaven on the Lake

We all agreed the best part of this stay was gathering on the beautiful dock to share the view of Lake Manitouwabing! What could be more relaxing! Soaking up the beauty of this Canadian scenery was wonderful. The provided kayaks added to the experience. The well stocked cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. A special place for family and friends!
