Ahkontshuck View, located in scenic Maggie Valley, North Carolina. Maggie Valley is nestled next to the Great Smoky Mountains. Ahkontshuck is a native Indian term for “hilly land” which describes the view from our deck. The house sits on a quiet, wooded lot at the top of a mountain that is just a few minutes from downtown Maggie Valley. At just over 3000 square feet, the house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The living room and dining room on the first floor have a cathedral ceiling with lots of windows to the view of the valley below. The Moose Trails bedroom has a queen size bed and a 27“ television with DVD and VHS players. The adjoining bathroom features a walk-in shower, a large garden tub, and vanity with his and her sinks. The Americana, Victorian and Miss Kitty’s bedrooms each have a queen size bed and a 27” television with DVD and VHS players.
Downstairs game room area includes a pool table, foosball table and card table.

Ski trip with friends

The property was very nice and great for a large group. The owners were very responsive and helpful. The ski area was further than indicated in the description but other than that the stay was perfect.

Beautiful home & location!

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. The view from the deck was the most majestic mountain view we have ever had. The cabin was beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable, and the hot tub was wonderful after a day of hiking. I highly recommend this home!

We unfortunately were not able to stay at the cabin due to it being inaccessible after Hurricane Helene. The host was gracious enough to refund our money. So I in turn give 5 stars to help promote business. Hopefully we can try again next fall.

Beautiful Property-Exceeded Expectations

The home is highly functional (lots of fun with hot tub and game room), very close to Asheville and Cataloochee Ski Area, and has absolutely breathtaking views...deck faces East for amazing Mountain sunrise views. Home was very well equipped...truly needs nothing. The way up the mountain is a bit challenging with hairpin switchbacks...if going during the winter, recommend 4WD.

Reviewer Comments: When you walk on the porch and see this amazing view of the valley you can’t believe it’s real how did we get so lucky to experience such beauty on earth. The cabin was everything we wanted and more the memories made will last a lifetime. The cabin was stocked with all the essentials for some great meals like gumbo and soup after a day of shopping and sightseeing. The cabin was very clean and we are already planning next years trip. Thanks for sharing your little piece of heaven with us. This was our first girls trip and will be back because of the awesome memories we made there.

Probably due to being shut down from Covid-19, we had a few issues. The worst being the ant infestation. They were everywhere, in the bathrooms, bedrooms, crawling up walls, in the beds. We were killing about 30-50 per day. Aside from that, we had a great stay

This time I did not ever see or hear from any one at Premier. Over all a great home And vacation

Beautiful view. Not the Best Experience

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a pretty cabin with a beautiful view. Things just didn’t align for us on this trip. 1. There was a guy painting the deck on the porch when we arrived at our scheduled time. He said he was finishing up but stayed for 3.5 more hours before he and his helper and their dog left the porch. It was awkward. Then we couldn’t enjoy the porch because of the wet paint. 2. The basement smelled terrible. Maybe mold/mildew or maybe a dead mouse in one of the locked closets or something. But it was terrible. We didn’t make anyone sleep in the room downstairs. The mildew made the bed linens damp and the smell was gross so we just all stayed upstairs. 3. Their are smart tvs everywhere but the internet didn’t work so we couldn’t enjoy that. The basic cable worked upstairs so at least that worked. The downstairs tv in the play room never worked at all.4. The refrigerator breaker blew on Saturday over night so all of our food for Sunday morning breakfast wasn’t good. We just threw it out. 5. The amount of random decor and Nick-jacks everywhere make it hard to say it feels very clean. It wasn’t filthy - but it’s hard to keep anywhere clean with random small objects and decor everywhere you look. Hot tub was great. View was beautiful. Property manager was helpful.

Melissa was great to work with. This is a great place to spend with family and friends. Wife and I enjoyed setting on deck watching the sun come up in the morning and grilling in the evening while overlooking the valley below with a cold beverage. The temperature stayed around 66deg at the cabin which made it that much better. (we left 98 deg in LA). God willing, we will be going back. Thanks

Great Cabin

Our vacation in the smokies was fantastic. The cabin was clean, quiet and comfortable. The finished basement was a great place to hang out at night after a day of hiking and site seeing. We hiked to 13 different waterfalls and spent a day at Chimney Rock. Asheville is a short drive away and Waynesville is only 10-15 minutes away for any needs. The view of the valley is awesome and sitting on the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee is a great way to start the day.

8 Days in Maggie Valley

The cabin is spacious and small touches like Roku TV's in each room help set this place apart. The hot tub is great and the morning view with coffee can't be beat.
