Enjoy La Jolla and the San Diego area from a lovely residential neighborhood, just four blocks from the golden sand of Windansea Beach. The residence is fully air-conditioned (even though really not needed as so close to the beach that the residence enjoys the cool ocean breezes) !

The residence is located on the second floor of a duplex (upper and lower). All appliances and designer furnishings in this sophisticated contemporary are newer. There is sleeping for four – the Master bedroom has a King bed, the guest bedroom has two full size beds a; all mattresses on beds are Plushtops. The granite countertop kitchen is fully equipped and has stainless steel appliances including a gas range. The dining room has a dining table for six and counter seating at the bar. Free Direct TV and Wifi Internet come with the rental. The residence has a full-size washer and dryer

The retreat has exclusive use of the newly installed front yard/patio with dining table, lounge chairs, couch, and BBQ. This is not a shared space. There is also a enclosed area to store beach toys and bikes. The downstairs residence has exclusive use of the back patio.

The retreat has off-street parking for one car as well as on street parking and a public lot just a short block away. Parking is free.

Housekeeping every other week for monthly stays is included. Additional housekeeping is available.


The house is in a great location for enjoying the amenities of La Jolla and the San Diego area. La Jolla is a friendly town for walking. It is just four blocks to the Beach and La Jolla Village businesses, dining, shopping and other activities are within ½ mile of the retreat – town center, museums, restaurants, shops and businesses. A delightful Sunday Farmers Market is a source of fresh produce and unique crafts. The Coggan Aquatic Center with Olympic-size pool and sports complex offering tennis courts, track, baseball fields and basketball courts is located just two blocks east of the home.

As an alternative to strolling thru La Jolla, the main public bus line stops within a block of the house and provides transportation throughout La Jolla and south to Pacific Beach, Mission Bay and other San Diego destinations. Beach bikes are also readily available for rental at local bike shop.

We have previously stayed at this unit. The house is exceptionally clean and well stocked. The beds, linens and towels are also extremely clean. The kitchen has everything we needed for a 5 day stay. The owner is always wonderful and available anytime we need. Highly recommended.

The unit was on the second floor and was very nice. Plenty of light, looked new with well equipped kitchen, great internet access, partial ocean view. Patio for use is on the ground floor in front of the unit. As we were there in December, we didn’t spend any time on the patio. Location was wonderful!! Within walking distance of beach, downtown La Jolla, supermarket, Pop-Up Bagels and church. Lisa, the property manager, was wonderful. Provided information and answered any questions quickly. Even checked in with us by email after we got settled. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely like to return in the future.

This units was not only exceptionally clean, it was fully stacked with everything we needed from housewares to cleaning and bathroom supplies. The owner was extremely responsive and wonderful. I highly recommend this place.

This property is everything other reviewers write. There were no surprises. It was in better condition in 2025 than our last visit, which was a long stay in 2018. It is clean and comfortable with the air conditioning an important component in the Fall. Walking with coffee down to the Windansea beach in the early morning is special. The Farmer’s Market, Promiscuous Fork and Cafe Vahik are an easy walk. Street parking or in the space in back was never difficult. After 2018, we kept waiting too long to book in subsequent years finding ourselves at inferior properties for four years. We were glad to be back.

Perfect La Jolla

This property was exceptionally clean and we appreciated the quiet neighborhood setting. Within walking distance of beach and town center. The kitchen is well provisioned with dishes and food prep items, and the full size major appliances worked great. We had plenty of towels! We really appreciated the option of opening the windows and using fans OR running AC. Absolutely no issues with Wifi. Would love to stay here again.

Amazing Place in La Jolla

Great location, great condo!

This condo is very nice - accurate to the pictures. It's roomy and comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need, but you'll probably want to go to restaurants. The location is awesome! You can walk to the beach and the restaurants. It's a cute & quiet residential neighborhood. The property manager was very quick to respond to our questions.

Lovely rental!

Everything you need is at your fingertips with this upper level unit in the heart of La Jolla. We walked to the beach (only a few blocks, little steep on the return but not difficult!) and to town (approximately 1 mile each way, pretty flat) from the home. We were very comfortable there and Lisa was an amazing host. We hope to return again for longer next time!

Excellent property

We had a very enjoyable stay at this property--it's clean, spacious, bright, and close to everything (including the beach and the restaurants). The kitchen is outstanding, as is the outdoor seating area. The owner is very prompt in responding to inquiries, too. It's a great property. We will definitely stay here again.

Fabulous Duplex

The upstairs duplex is just lovely. You can see the Sea, watch the sunset and enjoy watching the birds. The house is thoughtfully filled with whatever you need. And it’s easy walking distance to two beaches, the shopping district and the Sunday farmers market. We loved our two week stay.

Perfect location: light, clean and comfortable

We’ve returned many times to this clean comfortable airy light retreat. It’s the perfect location for us, a short distance to anything we need. It’s a 5 minute walk to the hidden beaches between Windansea and Marine Street, and a little further walk to the Cove and beyond. The light pours in and the view across the housetops to the ocean is lovely. The kitchen is set up with much of what we need for cooking. It’s a nice place to hang out if we don’t feel like exploring. The unit is upstairs of another vacation rental, but the renters are usually quiet.

Fabulous 4 days

The unit is in a perfect location to experience the beach, downtown La Jolla, and all of San Diego. The layout is wonderful and patio stunning. The unit is very spacious and the decor is very new. Would recommend to anyone !

Beautiful property in a quiet charming neighborhood. Close to beach and restaurants and stores. Everything was clean and functional. Front patio for the upstairs unit was very comfortable. Instructions provided made operating everything very simple.

Modern luxury

Fantastic place in La Jolla - great location and beautiful condo with all of the amenities. We loved the spaciousness of the place. Everything you could possibly need was available. There was a cute patio in the front where we loved to hang out. Also, parking was not a problem. Would definitely stay there again, the next time we are in San Diego!

Great location, clean and quiet

This was our first stay in the upper duplex, which has the same layout as the lower duplex unit, where we have stayed several times. We really like the convenient location, close to restaurants and stores, and nice beaches within walking distance. The unit is bright, clean, and a comfortable base for our visit to family in La Jolla. The kitchen is spacious enough for most cooking needs. We’ve also stayed at another of Lisa’s properties and found her to be a responsive host who made contact with us to ensure we had a comfortable stay.

Our first time using a VRBO. So happy with the decision. The place was immaculate. We had all the things needed, and more, for our visit—including an iron and a hair dryer. Appreciated the quiet street and on street parking in front of our unit. The only minor, very minor suggestion is to upgrade the number and quality of the towels. Will suggest this to any family or friends looking for a place in La Jolla. Thanks for making this a great experience!

very Updated living quarters . Lots of beach accessories for adults as well as children . Great location to beach and to lajolla. Walk to all of the above. Easy walk to food and liquor and the best restaurants . Easy drive to airport, pacific beach and downtown which is a very fun area. A smart tv and more channels would have been nice but the weather was so fantastic that we were rarely inside.

Great place to stay in LA Jolla!

The property was extremely clean. Lisa had everything labeled in the kitchen which made it easy to find whatever you wanted. There were plenty of towels (some other VBRO not so much). The bed in the front bedroom was very comfortable. We did not use the back bedroom. The TVs were great, we had Apple as well as Direct TV. When we had one problem with an outside umbrella, Lisa responded and had it fixed immediately. There were shops and places to eat close by. It was easy to get around the area. This was the best ABNB or VBRO I have stayed at. I highly recommend it.
