This home comfortably sleeps 6 guests, and only registered guests may stay overnight. The primary bedroom boasts a deluxe California King bed for ultimate comfort. The second bedroom is ideal for families, featuring a bunk bed with a full-size mattress below and a twin bed above, along with a twin trundle. While the primary closet is reserved for the owner, the bedroom has ample dresser space, and the second bedroom offers plenty of closet space.

Had a great time, we didn’t want to leave. The property is stocked with everything needed, including beach essentials. Garage means not looking for parking or worrying about your car. Honestly everything was perfect would definitely book again.

We absolutely loved our stay with our family on Devon. Loved having all of “the toys” available and not having to bring them from home. Also loved how well stocked it was, we brought a lot of the dry goods that were provided in the unit but was quite an unexpected treat. We left what we brought for future renters. Great place!

We stayed here as a father doughter trip and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The location was perfect. Close to the beach, the bay and all the attractions in mission beach. The property was as described, super clean and even provided bikes and beach chairs. On top of all that the host Doug and Shawn were great. Super responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend this property.

This property exceeded our expectations. It was every bit as lovely as the photos showed. It didn’t have that worn quality that many rentals have. The beds were comfortable, the bedding was nice. All furnishings were good quality. The weather was very hot while we were there but they had window vented air conditioning units in the living room and both bedrooms and many fans. We would not have survived without those! The distance to both the beach and the amusement park was very short. They provided so many beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, and a beach wagon. It was so nice to have those things available. We would stay here again in a heart beat. So fantastic.

We had a great stay at the South Mission Beach Gem over New Years. The space was perfect for our family of 4 with room to spare. Doug was quick to respond to all of our inquiries, even when we had some late-night questions during our original check-in. I would recommend this rental and would look to stay here again if we return to San Diego for another visit.

We enjoyed our stay. Perfect location. Everything went as expected (we have been to Misson Beach multiple times). No surprises after getting use to the house in the first day or two. It felt very comfortable almost like home.

Great stay in a very well appointed beach house! My family of four really enjoyed staying steps to the beach or bay. The home was clean and beautiful with everything one needs for a luxurious week at the beach. The garage held lots of beach toys, chairs, bikes - ready for us to use. We walked easily to Belmont Park, restaurants, markets, and coffee. The home was quiet and felt safe. Shawn was very easy to communicate with and made us feel very welcome. Will stay here again!

Beach getaway

My family and I stayed here and were very pleased with the house and the location. Mission beach has something for everyone, so my teenager and little one were both happy. The garage is a little tight to get into, but we managed, even with our minivan. Hosts were quick to reply to our messages/concerns, and very polite. They even let us check out late when we were running behind. We were there for July 4 - fun, but maybe would have booked before or after. Would definitely recommend, both to families and beyond.

The Perfect Beach Getaway: Clean, Comfy, and Close to It All!

We had such a wonderful stay at this charming Mission Beach home! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how spotlessly clean and thoughtfully stocked everything was. The kitchen had absolutely everything we could have hoped for! Amazing ice machine and blender for margaritas!One unexpected highlight: the amazing soaking bathtub. I normally wouldn’t dream of taking a bath at a rental, but this one was so pristine and inviting that I couldn’t resist — it was a perfect way to unwind after the beach.Speaking of the beach — it’s just a short stroll away! We loved how easy it was to grab the bikes and cruise around the area. The outdoor patio was another favorite spot for morning coffee and evening relaxation.On top of it all, communication with the host was excellent — friendly, responsive, and helpful from start to finish. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located getaway in Mission Beach!

Thank you for taking the time to look into our Beach Cottage. This amazing home has been our dream since my wife attended the University of San Diego many years ago. We are seasoned service-industry professionals committed to providing you with the best experience. Together, we have over 30 years of combined hospitality experience. She has worked in various roles at the Hyatt Regency, mostly serving guests in its fine-dining restaurants. Fun fact: She had the honor of serving Margaret Thatcher and her entourage. Doug worked as a restaurant manager in the service industry for 10 years. His ability to identify and address guests' needs is invaluable in maximizing their experience and comfort. Our goal is to exceed your expectations by providing a first-class stay, offering every amenity you may need, and letting you sit back, enjoy your stay, and leave the details to us. We have been fortunate enough to travel extensively and have stayed in STRs in several different countries. If you want to park your car at the beach and enjoy all that Mission Beach offers, including bikes, boogie boards, chairs, toys, umbrellas, beach games, and even a cooler, this is your home. Walking distance to several restaurants, including everything that Belmont Park has to offer (4-minute walk), then this is it. If you want to play volleyball on the beach and enjoy the crashing ocean waves on a much less crowded beach than most others, then this is it. If you want to stroll about 4 minutes to the east, you can enjoy the much milder surf on the bay side beach, which is great for little ones. Spend the day riding the boardwalk on 1 of the 5 bike cruisers that are offered, or just sitting out front on the "sunny side of the court" on your private patio, which works too. This is not a rundown surf shack! It's a well-appointed, recently redecorated, family-friendly beach home, and the photos accurately represent the home's condition (which is why we have 5-star reviews). Seasoned Mission Beach travelers will tell you South Mission Beach is the best location because it's quiet and safe. Devon Court is one of the most beautiful and well-cared-for Courts in all of Mission Beach. Year-round owners occupy most homes, so this is not a party court, nor are parties allowed or tolerated. We've taken great pride in preparing a luxurious rental property, creating a seamless check-in & check-out system, and providing the best amenities to ensure lifelong beach memories.
