Additionally enjoy the hiking trails located on the property and large open grass fields that are great for playing volley ball, lawn bocce, badminton , or any other fun activities.

I’m not sure why there are stellar reviews of this place. Maybe low expectations. Who knows? I don’t even know where to begin…we encountered cigarette butts and trash in the planters flanking the entry? An overwhelming smell of a gerbil cage upon entry. A space that was unheated (it was a cold November). The home decorated with Salvation Army finds. Nice, if you can get the . The guest room bathroom smells of sewer gases. The bedroom carpeting has seen way better days. Every baseboard radiator cover is sitting on the floor like an unfinished project. The “game room” is devoid of games (oh, the pinball machine doesn’t work). The refrigerator in the kitchen is a 30 year old rusty mess. I guess, why replace if half broke. Tried to address with the owners, but was not received well. Oh well.

Hosts were responsive & the house was a great stay! We did have an issue with one of the toilets towards the end of the trip, but the host was quickly able to remedy.It was the perfect place to gather friends, the outdoor area was great for fires, the hot tub was clean and overall a very homey vibe in the house.

perfect Catskills getaway

My friends and I pick a new place to hike every year and along with that a different rental. This home was by far our favorite of all the places we've stayed. It was clean, set up well, plenty of great spaces inside and out! Areas to gather as a group, play games, watch tv, talk and laugh, and plenty of areas if you wanted some quiet time alone to read or nap. Simply great!

The house is a comfortable hilltop home with great amenities and outdoor space. It’s well laid out for a large family and was great for group activities or for quiet time.

Great Hidden Large Gem

It is close to many little towns and Hunter but secluded and quiet. Spent four relaxing days here. There are many places to spread out and the large grill was amazing. The Gameroom was a nice touch. Overall very comfortable bedrooms and living area. The bonus was outdoor spaces with choices on 3 different sides some shaded some in the sun.

This cabin was amazing, deer, turkeys, chipmunks, blue jays and an assortment of other birds were on the property all weekend. The cabin was amazing.

very cozy and quiet place for short vacation stay

Very gorgeous place, surrending by woods. Quiet and cozy. I love the sun room and a large backyard with fire place. There is an pple tree at side. Everyday there a 2 deers came to eat apples. Be aware there is chipmunk running in the house. I dont know how he/she get in and out, just be careful if you left any food on the dinning table in the kitchen.

Wonderful NYC reset

Some of pictures of this place doesn’t do justice, spacious comfortable well thought out….wife and I and our dog were here mid August - perfect weather - all sort of stores and restaurants near by - one of the best places to grill and relax we have encountered - if you into the snow activities this place well - very well - set up for those needs

Remote Escape

Off the beaten track on a large private parcel of land, this was the remote escape we sought. The mown grass area around the house is huge, perfect for our pooch to explore in safety. We enjoyed the outside fire pit, the very large, multi-windowed BBQ room and the Jacuzzi. The lounge area was very comfortable. The bedrooms are modestly sized but we slept like logs so did not care! There are not many stores in Jewett but we discovered a great coffee shop in Hunter about 10 minutes away and an excellent grocery store in Tannersville about 20 minutes away.

We enjoyed this house so much! It rained our entire stay but the house really made up for it. We ate most of our meals out on the big deck right off the kitchen (might not be pictured) even during the heavy rain because there is a roof over the deck. The owners were quick to respond and check in was easy. We hope to be back next summer.

Mountain Getaway

Wow, this property was nothing short of amazing. As we were driving in, it felt like you were way back in the woods (which you were). The property is practically by itself and you feel like you are in your own little world. We enjoyed many meals outside on the deck and in the indoor grill room. They had everything that we needed right there. There wasn't too much to do really close but we were able to go to Woodstock and visit as well as traveled to Kingston to go on the Hudson River cruise. We would defintely recommend West Kill Brewing if you are interested in breweries. Its about 25 minute drive but a beautiful drive and killer beer. Overall, the property was just what we needed and we had a great time.

Perfect Getaway

Both house and property are immaculate and were perfect for our group of seven adults. Plenty of room for all of us including our dog, Jake. Perfect views all around of the fall foliage. Autumn Getaway with Family

My family gathers yearly whenever we can schedule all of us to get time off. We look for natural settings where we can enjoy the outdoors and a rental that we can cook meals and relax in. This place fit the bill on all counts. Our only negative was we expected 4 bedrooms. The rec room was converted into a bedroom, but lacked a closet. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Fantastic Getaway

The location, house and property were all fantastic and we had a very good experience here with 2 adults and 4 kids. Tons of amenities (hot tub, fire pit, pinball, lovely outdoor seating) but also secluded enough that we had some great wildlife in the yard: a buck popping out to say hello soon after arrival, an owl hunting on the lawn the first night, bear poop in the yard, coyotes howling nearby in the woods. And still plenty of things within a reasonable drive in Windham, Durham, Hunter and Tannersville. We could have spent several more days and still not gotten to everything. The house had plenty of space and the owners were very responsive when we had questions about check-in or an issue with the hot tub.

Catskill hiking retreat

This property was perfectly secluded and centrally located for our family who loves the daytime wilderness hiking and nighttime conveniences of the modern world. The indoor and outdoor components of Koss Lodge were beautiful and spacious. It is an authentic cabin with modern additions and upgrades. The recent A/C installation on each room was much appreciated, for mainly the humidity, as the temps are 10 degrees cooling in the mountains. We loved the modern indoor bbq grill and the well appointed hot tub for relaxing by the fire pit patio. We all enjoyed the deer and bear who came out of the woods to take an occasional pass through the property. We contacted Philip (the owner) with a couple questions. His responses were lightning fast and appreciated. Our family highly recommends this place for your stay.

Fun property with everything

My family had a great time at the house. Very private property with everything you could want. There is even a new patio and firepit that is not in the photos. The owner was very responsive and made sure that everything was taken care of when a minor issue arose. Highly recommended!
