Recently remodeled and just a short stroll from the beach, The Schooner offers the perfect blend of sun, sand, and comfort. Dive into the vibrant atmosphere of Hampton Beach and then retreat to your private home for some much-needed relaxation.

Rinse off the sand and salt in our convenient outdoor shower, added in 2022. Free Wi-Fi and Cable TV: Stay connected and entertained. Fully Equipped Kitchen: Cook up a storm with a full-size gas range, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Enjoy outdoor grilling as well!
Comfort: New mattresses installed in 2019 and a brand-new kitchen in 2020 ensure a restful stay.
Parking: Plenty of on-site parking for your convenience.
Guest Essentials:
Bring your own pillows, sheets, comforters, and towels (kitchen, bathroom, and beach towels).

Beautiful beach cottage and wonderful owners

We loved our stay at the Schooner. Location was awesome, cottage was clean and updated and the owners were humorous and responsive to any questions. Had a great vacation!

Seafood fest weekend

Clean modest space with good location

Property is clean and well-located. Elizabeth was a great host and made things easy. The property had very few amenities/communal items and limited insulation (it is a beach house, so this is fair) made it quite cold one of the days we were there. The property ticked our major boxes of location and good accommodations, although needing to bring your own pillows, sheets, etc. was a bit of hassle. It's worth staying at as long as you understand the limitations.

Hi Matthew, my husband was hospitalized and I wasn't able to send you our welcome packet before your stay. This explains that it is a seasonal cottage and September can be a very tricky month weatherwise in New England. I am glad we were able to accomodate a late check out on Sunday. No other guests have complained about having to bring their own pillows and sheets, sorry you felt that way and we appreciate you staying with us.

Perfect for a beach getaway

Parking and check in were a breeze. The location is perfect; a a brief walk to the beach, restaurants, and everything else you could want. There was plenty of space inside and outside. The outdoor shower was a fun surprise! Would definitely recommend a stay to anyone, and I hope we'll be back!

Our family vacation

The house was perfect. All of us slept great. It was short walking to the beach which was nice. The pushcart helped out a lot. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking supplies you needed and having the outside grill was a plus. My teenagers loved that there was cable and Wi-Fi. Overall, I don't feel like we could have picked a better beach house to have our vacation in.

Quaint Beach Cottage

Immaculate; great location: walking distance to restaurants/ shops and 5 minute walk to beach; quiet neighborhood; and kitchen was well stocked. Elizabeth was very friendly, pleasant, and accommodating. Enjoyed our stay!!!

Great weekend getaway

To say we had a great long weekend would be an understatement. Stepping into this pristine cottage was just the start to a great family weekend! Both families enjoyed the short walk to the boardwalk and all it had to offer. Elizabeth was very kind and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back!

Great Spot

We stayed in Schooner house beginning of August. Was perfect for us and our 3 kids. Easy walk to main street with shops and restaurants. Also, quick easy walk to the beach. House was well appointed with everything you would need on your vacation. Property owner was very responsive with questions we had. Home was clean and decor was reflective of beach and relaxation. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to family and friends.

Nice cottage for a family, short walk to the beach!

Unfortunately the weather was poor to be on the beach - but this 3-bedroom cottage saved our vacation with 3 teens! We had internet, TV, a nice living room, a front porch and a full kitchen. When the sun finally came out the short walk to the beach with the provided beach cart for our stuff was terrific! We'd stay there again.

Cute little place Close to Everything!

We enjoyed our stay at this cute little cottage! It was extremely clean and well stocked, and Elizabeth sent me a list of things to bring, which was nice. Parking was solid for two good sized cars. The strip is just a short walk away. I would say this is a true summer house, as the walls were a bit thin, but the furnishings and old farmhouse sink were quaint. The only drawback is that I arrived first, and the whole house was freezing! It warmed up quickly when the rest of the group showed up. We stayed mid September and the evening was cool and a few windows were open. I looked for a thermostat or radiators or vents, but I think in true fashion there is no heat in the house, so if you stay when the weather gets cooler, I would suggest bringing some additional blankets. Overall, we had a very nice stay.

Nice House, Good Price & Great Location

Check in was very easy with the key being in a lockbox. The pictures are accurate, and the house fit our needs perfectly. The walls between the bedrooms are very thin. It wasn’t an issue for us because we all kept a similar schedule. The location is perfect. It’s a short walk to the beach and boardwalk.

It was okay...

A group of 8 of us stayed in this house for one night before the Smuttynose race at the end of September. The house was cute and quaint but a bit rickety. The bathroom was nice and updated but the walls were SUPER thin...like just plywood. The beds were not very comfortable so it was difficult to sleep. On top of it all, there was no heat!! We were all freezing and there were minimal extra blankets to keep warm. Overall, it did the job but it wasn't the most pleasant experience.

Ours is a wonderful love story as I was able to donate my kidney to my late husband Scott in 2013, we were truly a match, unfortunately he lost a valiant battle with cancer in 2023. We are grateful to have purchased the cottage by the beach and hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We named it the Schooner because you will feel like you are inside a boat once you see the original woodwork in the bedrooms. It is a three bedroom home with large eat in kitchen, living room, enclosed back porch and open front porch. The gas range is new and you will have a full size fridge. In 2020 we remodeled and added a new kitchen, new flooring and a dishwasher! You will enjoy the porch for people watching, fireworks and sunset views!
