House is fully stocked with dishes, crystal wine glasses, cookware, plush towels, fine bed linens, games, laundry detergent, etc… There are plenty of gathering areas yet room to find a quiet corner to curl up with a book. Upon arriving you will see the expansive lawn surrounding the house for lawn games, attached 2 car garage. AUTHENTIC restored Ephraim Viking settlers log cabin, perfect play house or teen hang out. Gourmet Kitchen: Suberzero, Thermador, Viking Appliances, Coffeemaker,Keurig, Toaster oven, Miele Dishwasher, Microwave, Stove/Oven, Blender. The main living is on the 2nd floor with gorgeous views of the woods, sunrise & sunsets. There are 2 living rooms; first a "great room" with a soaring fieldstone gas fireplace, vaulted ceiling and smart TV with access to the spacious screened-in porch and large wrap-around deck with outdoor fireplace, perfect for making s'mores. The 2nd living room is adjacent with a gas burning brick fireplace and a dining room table to seat 10. This living/dining room is open to a gourmet kitchen with bar seating for 4. 2nd deck is off the kitchen with more seating and a Weber Genesis 5 burner gas grill. This was a wonderful property! The house was amazing and a really good layout for our group. We had ages 8 - 75 and everyone loved it. The kids especially loved the basement and ping pong table. It was a great location - super convenient to everything. The grounds were beautiful. Our only complaint was that our trip wasn’t long enough!

We had a wonderful time at this home. The surrounding grounds are amazing and full of wildflowers. The home itself met all of our needs and more. It was the perfect place for a family gathering with lots to entertain the children. Our favorite spot was gathering around the outside fireplace and toasting s'mores. We had a fabulous time and Amanda and her husband were very responsive to our needs and questions. We loved Door County!

Great for all ages vacationing together

Outstanding property---well stocked with everything we could need. The host was very helpful and responsive. Look forward to returning again. We are a 3 generation family celebrating a summer vacation together.

Holiday stay

Our family celebrated Christmas at this beautiful cozy home in the woods. It was perfect for spending time with family. The kitchen was amazing! It was a lovely setting in the woods. Great dining room for our holiday meals. Close to town. Everyone had a great time.

Great property and location

The property is beautiful, very spacious and well stocked with everything you need. Comfy beds and plenty of clean linens. The neighborhood is very quiet and relaxing and the home is in a great location. Close to dining, shopping and beach. The owner is very friendly and responded promptly when we had questions and did her best to resolve any issues. Easy check in and check out. We would stay here again!

Perfect Sister Bay and Ephraim Getaway

House was the perfect vacation for my family vacation! The house was well appointed, clean, and with a great location. There was play areas for children. Lots of TVs and separate hang out spaces. The kitchen was large and easy to navigate. The host was responsive to questions. Don’t hesitate to book for your door county family vacation!

Gorgeous home in the woods

Stayed with my family for fall mini vacay (9 women aged 25-75), space for all of us, great decor, everything you need in the kitchen, beautiful bedrooms and master bath, lovely woods to walk in, quiet neighborhood, and many areas to hang out. Really nice screened in porch and outdoor FP, we had the best time! Highly recommend.

Amazing

Great place that could accommodate all of our extended family in a central location. The kitchen was wonderful for a big group and had everything you could possibly want for cooking and grilling. We loved the large tables and many chair for dining indoor or outdoor. It was a very memorable experience and the house allowed for us to have a lot of together time and enough room for privacy also.

Fabulous stay at Norra Skogen!

The home was perfect for our group of 12. We enjoyed the layout of the house, the large deck and yard . Excellent for a game of Kubb! All the fireplaces added wonderful ambiance. Beautiful Home, Beautiful weather, Beautiful Door County! Amazing memories! Thank you Amanda!

Best Door County Trip Ever

I've been coming to Door County for 70 years from childhood with my parents to now, a grandpa with 4 grandchildren. This is our second stay here and it was wonderful in every way. We enjoy the privacy of this beautiful home and the convenient location, just a few minutes away from Ephraim or Sister Bay. Just a bit farther to Bailey's Harbor. Nothing but superlatively positive comments about the home and its owner who is always ready for questions or concerns that may come up. We'll be back.

We have been to Door County many times and this was the best place that we have ever stayed at.

Fantastic location situated between Sister Bay and Ephraim/Fish Creek. Very private and well suited for a family get together, in our case 3 generations (kids and grandkids). Bedrooms and bathrooms are well designed. Kitchen is big and well stocked with dishes, pots, pans and all the amenities we needed. Very close to grocery store, beaches and various outdoor activities. My family (and I) would highly recommend this rental for a family get together or a number of couples/close friends that want a great get-away-location in Door County. My hat's off to the host!!!

Family stay

The house was absolutely beautiful!! There were so many cool touches that made it unique and so homey. I would definitely stay here again if we came back to Door County! We did a lot of touring, so didn’t spend as much time at the house as we would have liked too, but the time we did spend there cooking and on the patio with the outdoor fireplace was so memorable and relaxing!!! The owner was amazing at getting back to us quickly and seamed very kind and caring. I would recommend this home if you want a beautiful, clean, upscale home to enjoy with friends or family!! 💜

Beautiful Home

Thank you for sharing your beautiful, spacious, and well located home with our family. Our group of 5 retired siblings and their spouses thoroughly enjoyed all of your amenities and the easy access to many of the attractions in Door County. We also enjoyed the frequent visits from the wild turkeys and deer. Since we all enjoy cooking and eating, the well equipped kitchen and large dining table were especially appreciated. The only item we wanted and couldn't find was a pie plate. We only wish the weather had cooperated a little more so we could have made more use of your outdoor spaces. Maybe next time.

The group that was there has collectively stayed at many VRBO,S. We discussed the over-all shape of the house and it definitely needs some work, especially for the cost of what we paid for the five days we were there. It needs a deep clean, staircase carpet was very dirty, dead bugs in doorways and corner of some of the second floor rooms. Both wine refrigerators were broken (we think?, or we couldn’t figure out how to turn them on), the faucet in the kitchen was broken (back switch converter) but still useable. The third floor bathroom shower needs to be addressed…handle was broken and the shower water stopped but would still be running. There were no beach chairs or beach towels and that was a surprise considering it’s on Lake Michigan. It states in the property description that there is a hot tub. There is no hot tub, which was disappointing and a surprise. Some of the outlets did not work. FP in DR did not turn on. Amanda was always available to talk/text and getting in the house was easy. The property is private and location great to everything. Outside deck was the main destination for the group.

Winter Wonderland

Wonderful home, centrally located to everything in Door County. Home was super clean, well furnished and very comfortable and cozy. Only a few minor complaints, that are barely worth mentioning...(a few light bulbs out and really poor Internet...although the poor wifi/internet is likely a location/Door County issue given that we have experienced problems before at other homes in the Door). Overall, the owner and manager were extremely friendly, very responsive and nice to deal with. The home is very well appointed and very cozy. It's on a large lot and tucked back away from HWY 42 allowing for privacy, silence and wonderful walks just outside the front door. Great for large families. We would for sure recommend renting from this owner and staying at this home!

Absolutely wonderful!

My husband, 2 daughters with their families and I spent a great week in this lovely home - 6 adults and 4 kids ages 1 to 6. While this would be a fabulous place for adults, it was also very family friendly. We ate dinner in the large dining room, played with Legos in the screened porch on a rainy morning and made s'mores in the outdoor fireplace on the deck. The front and back yards were great play spaces. The kitchen had a huge supply of dishes (plastic and china), silverware and pots and pans. There was a double oven, large fridge and pantry. We used it all. There was a nice variety of toys and especially nice kids' books. Each family had bedrooms and bathrooms on their own floor, so we could choose to be together or have some privacy. We made great use of the Door County fun close by, but we could escape the crowds in this secluded space. And the owner was very responsive to my many questions before our stay. My family gathers somewhere every year. If we return to Door County, we'll hope that this house is available.

Perfect layout and location

We had several families in our group and everyone had a bed and comfortable space. The house is so spacious and well-equipped. We honestly cannot say enough great things about the house, location or property. We loved it, it’s a dream house!

Perfect family vacation home

Amanda, We absolutely thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Norra Skogen. It was a fabulous house for me and my family from the UK to get together in. Plenty of space for all and so beautifully decorated - we felt at home immediately. We also found the location - close to Sister Bay, with all the restaurants, beach and boat hire and a hop skip and a jump from beautiful Ephram. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!!

We live in Appleton, WI and stay busy raising our two school age daughters. Fell in love with Door County and try to spend as much time up there as we can year round. We enjoy nature, art, eating, & traveling to new places. However, no matter where our wanderlust takes us, Door County always beckons us back! We have grown to feel a part of the community and truly hope you feel as welcomed as we do.

Prime Location & Privacy! Half way between Ephraim & Sister Bay 3 min. away. Space indoors & out, 6,000sq ft. Original Log Cabin for kids or overnight camping, huge lawn for games, firepit. Many fireplaces, TVs, professional kitchen & cleaning. Fully stocked! Long circle driveway for kids to ride bikes, huge lawn for games. We have thought of every summer activity, simply unpack and enjoy!

At the same time it has wonderful gathering spaces inside and out with multi decks, patios, large rooms, huge lawn. Authentic Ephraim log cabin from Door Counties first settlers was moved to the property to preserve it & restored. True history & fun play house or spend the night with the 2 pull out sofas for a camping experience. Walking trails on the 5 acre property.
