Little House | Pet Friendly Cottage + Easy Walk to the Sand!

Little House is an adorable historic cottage located less than one block to the beach at the South end of Tybee Island. Initially built in 1940, this home is quaint and cozy, conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, the main pier, and the back river pier. Enjoy all of the South End of Tybee activities, all within a block or two from your Little House.

Little House has a front-covered deck complete with an outdoor dining set and gas grill. The front porch is a great gathering space after a fun-filled day at the beach. The home's interior offers an open floor plan living area with a sleeper sofa and a 43inch flat-screen TV. The kitchen has all you need for quick vacation meals to be enjoyed at the dining table for 6.

The two bedrooms share a bathroom. The first bedroom has a Queen Size bed and a flat-screen TV, and the second bedroom has 2 Twin beds and a flat-screen TV. The bathroom includes a stand-up shower and a small sink and vanity.

This home is pet-friendly for an additional fee.

Please note: This home does not have a dishwasher or washer/dryer. However, there is a laundry mat located two miles away.

MINIMUM NIGHT REQUIREMENTS: Minimum night requirements vary by property, dates of stay, and usually become more lenient for last-minute bookings.

PETS: This home is pet-friendly for up to two (2) adult dogs with approval and additional pet fees. Cats are not allowed in any TVR property. Please Note: Tybee City ordinance does not allow dogs on any Tybee Island beaches

EXTENDED STAY RENTALS (26+ NIGHTS): All stays require a refundable security deposit to be paid, the amount is included in your online quote. A monthly electrical allowance is assigned according to the bedroom size of the property and has been chosen as this amount should not be exceeded with reasonable usage at the property. Please review your rental agreement for a full list of terms and policies.

The location to the beach was fantastic. In a quick five minute walk and your family are in the water! There are ample clean towels and great bedding! The keyless entry was difficult to use and did not light up after dark. There is a step down off the concrete front porch that is not marked. The house was tired, very tired.

Great location

The property is perfect for a couple. Very clean and nice. Location is primo! The only complaints are the front door was difficult to get open and when we called for a possible early check-in, the property manager John was less than friendly to my wife.

Great location and cute house, only had minor issues

The location could not have been better, a block from the beach and you don’t have to worry about the mandatory paid parking on the island year-round. The house was lovely. Communication with the host (a company) was a little slow close to our check in date. I had asked about early check in before I booked and they said it was not guaranteed but they would let me know as soon as it was ready. I asked the day before check in for an update on early check in. They did not reply for over 24 hours and I had sent 3 messages at that point in those 24 hours. They replied the same info, not guaranteed but they would let me know as soon as it was ready. We happened to be at the property early waiting for the message it was ready. No one was there cleaning. It should have been ready. I messaged for an update. They never replied. And at the official check in time I got an email saying it was ready. So they did not seem very concerned about following up and letting me know as soon as it was ready, as they did not do that, even though they said they would. That was frustrating. Also the floor seemed a little dirty. We wore socks and they were dirty within an hour of checking in from walking around.

Little House

Overall our stay was wonderful. After a few hiccups with grill and stove that took some time to repair, we enjoyed our stay. House was very small and more conducive to a weeks stay rather than an entire month. This was only due to small size of kitchen and bathroom and minimal comfortable seating in TV room. But that was no one’s fault. Just something we learned after being there an extended period. Location is fantastic.

Loved this little house and the location was amazing. Did not like gardeners coming early on our last day and covering my car in grass. But that is my one and only complaint. This place is lovely

The house and the location was perfect for us.

My only suggestion would be to have more then 1 spare roll of toilet paper for 5 adults using the house.

Adorable beach themed cottage. Super close to beach and shops. Very private, as opposed to most other places in the area that are multi unit buildings. Kitchen is tiny but functional and the refrigerator was a good size. Tybee Vacation Rentals was very good to work with.

Little House is very nice

Great little house, well kept and clean. Although small it is well laid out and feels more spacious than it is. Great front porch that is private, excellent location - short walk to the beach, restaurants, etc. The only negative is the cable (TV) was a pain to get working - after a few visits from the Prop Mgmt staff, realized that everytime you turn the tv back on you have to first unplug everything and then replug in...or the cable doesnt work. Dont come to the beach to watch alot of TV but with 3 young kids its nice to have obviously...and you do but its fairly quirky. Other than that, absolutely recommend staying here!

Loved it

Cozy little space, but it accommodated two adults, two kids and two dogs for a weekend just fine. The shower is very small and might not work the best for folks who are above average height and weight.

1st time visit to Tybee

Adorable little house conveniently located to beach and restaurants. The beds were comfortable. The Kitchen is a bit on the small side but other than that it was perfect! We would definitely return.

Wonderful cozy place near beach

Love the Little House!!

This little cottage was perfect for our Mother-Daughter trip!! Short walk to several shops and restaurants, and less than 5 min from beach!! We will definitely stay here again!!

Perfectly tiny house

We enjoyed staying at the property. However, with the fees it ended up being really high three night stay. The house was located very close to the beach and was very cozy. We enjoyed how small it was, it was perfect for the two of us and our infant. Couple things that weren't so great: The main bed was brutal. The first two nights it was ok, the third night I could not move, my back was in so much pain. My spouse complained the first morning about how uncomfortable it was, and I said he was such a baby. Well... I woke up with back pain as well. Wifi was not working, we communicated back and forth with the office and I just decided to use my Xfinity account, which is ok, I did not come to work anyway. My last biggest disappointment was late check out fee. Rules are rules, but I found it extremely petty. Half of our trip the weather was very cold and windy. On our departure morning the day was beautiful and I wanted to take my son for one more beach walk. The leasing office was gracious enough to let us leave our car on the property for a couple of hours, however, I did not think about our dog (dogs are not allowed on Tybee beaches), so I asked if we can check out at 11 instead of 10. The staff allowed us to do late check out (thank you), but we were charged for additional hour. If you ask me, that's nickel and dime and I would never bother customers with something so little. I know this has nothing to do with the owner, but just left a sour taste with the property. I would definitely recommend this home, but I can't say that everything was splendid.

Little Cottage

Excellent Stay, we loved it, it was great for my daschund to have a yard, and walks down towards the beach and back were good, house was "perfect" for one adult, one little doggie! Only complaint would be all the "Hidden" fees that totaled up to just at $700 for two nights stay, but that is typical of most all rental properties.

Couldn't be any more perfect.

This is the last of old Tybee. A true "little" beach cottage. Don't ever tear her down for condos please. I'll definitely be back!
