G & Z Upcountry Bed & Breakfast Cottage, situated on half an acre in Kula Maui is adjacent to the hosts' 6-acre farm. TMK 2-2-2-006-101-0000.

A large jacaranda and two avocado trees shade the wide-open lawn. At an elevation of around 3,000 feet, guests welcome the day as the sun rises over Haleakala and sets in the ocean or behind Mauna Kahalawai (West Maui Mountains). Guests might even see the green flash when it sets in the ocean.

G & Z offers a rural tropical atmosphere, and it's convenient location makes it easy to access all that Upcountry and Maui has to offer. It's a place to relax and 'get away from it all,' yet still be within an easy drive to beaches and surf spots.

There are five restaurants just 5 minutes away and another 10 within a 15-minute drive. Kula Country Farm, a two-minute walk away, sells local produce and homemade Upcountry products and has the best Halloween pumpkin patch and fun activities for the keiki (kids).

G & Z has on-site free parking and a private entrance. The fully equipped kitchen has a microwave, range and refrigerator. The dining table can seat 2 comfortably. The bedroom has a King size bed. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower. There are two flat screen HDTV with satellite DirecTV service and free wireless internet accessibility. A large, shared deck has a BBQ grill and is a perfect place for outdoor dining.

The B & B Suite can accommodate 2 adults nicely.

On those cool winter evenings, guests will enjoy the warmth of the electric fireplace that comfortably heats the cottage and creates a cozy atmosphere.

G & Z Upcountry is a Bed & Breakfast, and your hosts will provide your cottage with seasonal fruit and breakfast breads, coffee and tea daily. The kitchen has a refrigerator, stove, coffee pot and toaster/oven which enable guests to enjoy breakfast at their leisure.

For guests that would enjoy an agritourism experience, G & Z hosts are happy to share their farm where they grow avocados, lemons, limes, pomegranates, and coffee.

G & Z Upcountry looks forward to welcoming you to their B & B. When you stay with G & Z, you'll be within minutes of everything Maui has to offer.

G & Z Upcountry Bed & Breakfast does not allow smoking in doors. Accommodations can be made for smoking out-of-doors.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was so cozy and was stocked with everything we could need for your stay! It was like a home away from home. Kula is a charming town. We enjoyed the cool mornings and evenings. The electric fireplace in the cottage was a wonderful addition to a place that had everything you could need in a short or longer stay. I appreciated the friendliness of the hosts and their desire to make our stay comfortable.

John and Marsha were great hosts! Very easy to communicate with, extremely friendly, provided ample information on things to do in maui. The property was beautiful, the private patio on the side facing the mountian is great for watching sunrises and enjoyed walking around checking out all their fruit trees and even saw a chameleon in one!The full stocked kitched, cooler and beach chairs were a pleasure to be able to use.Would 100% stay again and recommend for anyone traveling to maui!

This is the perfect place to stay to go to the summit of Haleakala National Park for sunset viewing, stargazing, sunrise viewing and hiking. Marsha, the host is excellent. Every evening she brings you your breakfast for the next morning, homemade muffin, banana bread, scone and homemade jam, little apple turnovers, etc. You have a basket of fruit when you get there for you to eat along with your treat that she will bring you. Everything is so clean and it is out of the touristy area. I believe they have 7 acres and it's nice that you can walk around and they have all these beautiful trees to enjoy. Just a fantastic nice good sized accommodation in a very nice area and convenient to things. Anyone that wants to visit Haleakala this is your place!

Great upcountry location

Perfect little place in upcountry Maui. Close to Haleakala, Makawao, Pukalani and Paia. Also beaches of Wailea about 40 minutes away.

Hunting trip

I am lost for words there was nothing but perfection with my stay. Maybe the only thing was I couldn't stop eating Marsha's daily treats her and John were a joy. I highly recommend their place.

Hom away from Home

Such a charming "home away from home" from which to see the entire island of Maui! While being away from the crowds, it was easy to access all the favorite destinations - Haleakala, the Road to Hana, Turtletown, and others!! Our host easy to communicate with and made us feel right at home!

Great little cottage with perfect hosts

A Great Stay

We had an excellent time at the B&B in upcountry Maui! The location was amazing, as we were so close to all the lovely farms and gardens. The guesthouse was immaculately maintained with great amenities, and Marsha was so friendly and hospitable. Highly recommend!

Clean, comfortable, well appointed.

The hosts were fantastic. The "cottage" was very clean, very comfortable and they thought of everything you might need. The daily baked goods were spot on. The location is also fantastic if visiting the national park and wanting to be away from the crowds of beaches and resorts.

Wedding/Reunion

I really enjoyed my stay at G & S Upcountry. Helped with setting up the wedding. Visited with relatives that I have not seen in 50 years. And the wedding was just 6 minutes away from where I stayed. If I could stay longer, I would have! The daily pastries were a bonus during my stay! I enjoyed them with a cup of coffee to start my day! Beautiful memories were made here!

We had the best weekend stay with Marsha & John! Such a cozy, sweet cottage filled with all of the comforts of home, and more. Marsha helped get us acquainted with not only their beautiful grounds but also all of the popular activities and restaurants nearby. And her fresh fruits and homemade banana bread and croissants…mmmm! Honestly were without want for anything—had an absolutely amazing stay! Thanks Marsha & John!

Serene, Clean with Luxury space

The most fabulous 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stay ever in Maui! Cool breezes upcountry and the spectacular accommodations make this a real prize! Clean, luxury bath ( great water pressure- luxury towels) washer /dryer and kitchen, most comfortable king bed with TV, living room space with desk. Separate entry, easy access off Kula roads. I will return in a heartbeat! Added extra of a sweet fresh bakery treats each morning. The highlight of our 5 day stay on Maui! Need a car- not a problem. Small market in Kula nearby. Botanical gardens near by, little Kula downtown with great 5 star eats at both Kula Bistro and Kula restaurant .

Your hosts have lived in Hawaii for over 40 years and have always called Kula home. Recently retired, Marsha and John are enjoying their farm and family and look forward to sharing their knowledge about Maui with their guests.

Marsha spent over 30 years in Hawaii and Maui's tourism and hospitality industry and loves to 'talk story' with visitors about the islands and especially Maui.

G & Z Upcountry Bed & Breakfast Cottage is centrally located to everything upcountry has to offer. Its rural country location is laid back and relaxed. It's far enough away from the resort areas to be peaceful but close enough to be able to enjoy all that the resorts have to offer.

Guests will love waking up to the sunrise over Haleakala and enjoy the views of the ocean, South Maui and the West Maui Mountains (Mauna Kahalawai).

Friends and family that visit Kula report that the unique ambiance, lifestyle and views are truly something that everyone will enjoy.
