Perfectly situated on a charming cobblestone street in one of Puerto Vallarta’s safest neighborhoods, this enchanting pied-à-terre is a tranquil and private retreat within walking distance of all the great downtown attractions and main town square. You will be spellbound by breathtaking panoramic views of Banderas Bay and the iconic church, Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe from the rooftop terrace.

Within minutes you can be strolling the spectacular Malecón oceanfront boardwalk, sipping a Margarita on the beach, dining at a multitude of restaurants and cantinas, or visiting the many art galleries and boutiques. UNIQUE PROPERTY

Property had everything required to make our 28 day stay enjoyable. Location to the Malecon and PV was outstanding. While one must come home uphill the roads and steps were doable. we are in our late 70s and had no problems putting on 15 to 18,000 steps per day. Midnight on the deck to view the fireworks was awesome. The property is unique and one must watch their head when going to bed but one does learn to duck. Would definitely stay there again, Property manager (Sylvia), cleaner(Isabelle) and maintenance(Antonio) personnel were all very helpful. Other unit owners were friendly and very accepting of us as tenants.

Amazing stay, perfect area and view!

We had an amazing stay, the whole experience was seamless! The unit and rooftop was perfect and beautiful! The location, the views, the experience! The pictures on listing only tell and show a small glimpse of its beauty! We bought a beach umbrella and left it for the next visitors, you can thak us later when you have it at the beach hahaha! Puerto Vallarta 2023

Walk up from the Malecon approx 100 steps , not a big deal if you take your time. Great location in middle of Malecon, view from roof top pool and lounge area is as good as any in town. Apt. Is clean and has everything you need. The Great Room is awesome. The bedroom, watch your head , it’s a low ceiling. Kitchen and dining area not big but gets the Job done. We would stay there again.

Great rooftop!

We enjoyed our stay and rarely stayed in the condo and enjoyed the rooftop immensely. The condo, while cute and had the upstairs great room, is a basement unit so we preferred to be up where there was an excellent view. The neighborhood is wonderful and exactly what you go to Vallarta for. Overall a lovely 2-week stay.

Great location and fantastic charm

We arrived at the beginning from a cold and dry climate. The property was so lovely and had fantastic charm and character. I greatly enjoyed my time in the suite as a centre point of our stay. Thanks to Sylvia, Isabele (cleaner) and the owner for the great pdf that assisted in our time at location.

Great location in Centro Puerto Vallarta

Finally, after two years of rescheduling, we were able to get back to Puerto Vallarta. Our condo unit was very suitable for us. It is on two levels with a living area on the upper street level and an open bedroom, kitchen and bathroom on the lower level. The two levels are connected inside by a spiral staircase that takes a bit to get used to, but very space efficient. The unit has an entrance on each level and connected by a exterior staircase. The upper level has a small balcony facing the interior courtyard of the building. Both levels are shaded from the sun, so while it may be difficult at times to tell what time of day it is, the advantage is that the unit is very cool. We never used the AC during our entire stay. The condo building has 7 units and a rooftop deck and a medium size pool. The deck and pool area have an unobstructed view of Puerto Vallarta bay and is a very pleasant feature. We would have our coffee there in the morning and watch the nightly fire works there in the evening. Location is very good and walking distance to the beach, the Malecon and the Romantica zone. Be aware that Puerto Vallarta in general can be difficult for people with mobility issues because other than resorts on the beach and along the Malecon, the streets are cobblestone and the further away you are from the beach, the steeper the climb with many steps involved. Many dining options within walking distance including two larger restaurants within a block of the unit. Many corner stores and pharmacies nearby for provisions. The only issue we had was contacting the property manager to gain entrance to the unit. We had friends that were staying in the same building and were able to rest in their unit until we were able to reach the property manager. Hoping to come back next year and will definitely consider this unit again.

Many steps up!

It should be noted the property is over a hundred steps straight up from the Malecon which could be a challenge for seniors. The windows are small with only views of the inside of the buildings property. There is a lovely view from the upper level of the building where the pool is situated but no umbrellas for shade! We found this particular suite was overpriced for the reasons above.

Lovely location, slightly quirky layout

We really loved the location and the terrace. The place is well-equipped and clean. The quirkiness comes from the low ceiling in the sleeping area, and the spiral stairway that connects the two levels through the bathroom. Takes some getting used to.

Our week long stay could not have been better. Lovely, charming and clean home. Very comfortable bed and great bedding. The location was perfect for us although if you have difficulty with stairs, this might not be the ideal area for you. We spent hours on the rooftop, enjoying the comfortable lounge chairs and the pool. The views were amazing both day and night. What a fabulous place to watch the fireworks from the Pirate ship. We very much enjoyed meeting some of the other residents of this condo. They were all very welcoming and gave us some great advice. Communications with the owners were both prompt and positive. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We have been coming to Puerto Vallarta for over 20 years and your casa has become one of our new, favourite places to stay. Anne & Nick

Perfect location for all things PV.

Mexican charm in a great location

Bahia Alegre Unit #7 Puerto Vallerta

I am writing with regards to our one month stay in this unit, found on VRBO. I would give one star for the location as it is well situated to walk everywhere in PV. The other star is for the beautiful rooftop, lovely pool, great view, and well cared for. What a traveller should know is that the unit, which states sleeps four, is that it is dark on the bottom floor. The sloped ceiling does not allow one to stand up completely, without hitting one's head on the ceiling. It is dark and not well ventilated. This is where the main bed is located as well as the eating area. The great room upstairs is better ventilated as it has a small open balcony and windows that open to the street. It is very noisy when you open the windows, My biggest disappointment was trying to obtain linens for four, as each time we asked for the bedding , we were not given the necessary bedding needed. My two adult children used their beach towels as their covers. Not ideal. Initially we said only three people would be staying, but one of our other children made it down and we could not seem to obtain bedding for him. The maintenance personnel and cleaning woman did their jobs but the property manager did NOT come through, as was initially indicated. There are so many rental units in PV and I would advise to look before you rent. Donna Bibeau, Calgary

Wow! Precious have to see it to believe it.

Adrian's description package was very accurate. From cab info, where to get groceries, laundry service, restaurants, etc. Did not expect such an amazing sight from the pool. Yes, very true breathtaking, seen and hearing the church bells was one of my favorite memories. We stayed for a week, we did not use the kitchen although well equipped for making meals. We were greeted by an amazing woman Sylvia who made us feel right at home. Thank you for sharing your home and pleasant surprises, second place we have stayed through VRBO, and believe we can not search for a different place if traveling to PV, again.

Enjoyed our stay in PV

The condo is centrally located in El Centro, near Gringo Gulch and the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Everything we needed or did was done via walking. One can walk to the malecon in 5 minutes and then stroll from there south along the beach to Old Town. The condo is located a couple blocks up the hill, so you need to have no physical mobility issues if you are going to do what we did and walk the entire time (its great exercise!). Alternatively you could catch a taxi/bus and get around easily too. The condo has a unique layout with the great room on a second level. A nice amenity at the condo complex was the rooftop pool and sun lounging area from which you have a great view of Banderas Bay. There are only 7 units in the complex so you often have the pool and lounging area to yourself. Adrian, along with Silvia (property manager) and Isabel (housekeeper) were very nice and welcoming. Overall, the condo is a good value and Adrian is proactive in coordinating your arrival and departure with Sylvia. Thanks again Adrian, Silvia, and Isabel! Bob and Barb Montero Minnesota, USA

My wife and I live in Milwaukee, WI and have been traveling to Mexico and other Caribbean destinations since 1987. In 2010, we started to seriously look into purchasing a property to escape the Wisconsin winters—a few weeks per year. We looked in Panama, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and ultimately in Mexico.
We visited Puerto Vallarta in 2007. We stayed at one of our neighbor’s condo in Conchas Chinas and absolutely loved it. After a trip to Puerto Rico in 2014, we became frustrated with not finding a property that had the “old world charm” we desired. So, we started searching in PV based on our memorable experience years ago.
Today, we own two properties in PV (A studio in Amapas overlooking Los Muertos Beach; HomeAway Listing #3922382 and a 1 Bedroom freestanding villa next to the iconic church, Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe; VRBO Listing #742876). We have great neighbors at both properties.
Located on the shores of Bahia de Banderas, Mexico's largest bay, Puerto Vallarta is an incredible vacation destination. This once small fishing village is now a charming resort area that is the perfect melange of modern amenities and historic traditions.

Picturesque colonial and whitewashed buildings, cobblestone streets, red Spanish tile roofs and secret passageways is what makes Puerto Vallarta so special to us.

The food, language, customs and celebrations continue to provide education and enjoyment each and every time we visit…It is also where, one day, we plan to spend our retirement (sadly, as our boys are young, no time soon…).
