Awesome, quaint cabin close to everything!

This was our second time staying here. It is truly the perfect place! Close to Leland snow park, ice skating, store steps away and restaurant/bar across the street. Perfect getaway spot for our family and the hosts are super responsive and accommodating. We canā€™t wait to go back!

Amazing gateway to the mountains

So comfortable and so easy to get to. Kitchen is great, stocked with basic pots, pans, baking sheets and more appliances. We cooked multiple home meals and baked brownies. Its walking distance to the store and restaurant. The owners are very proactive and responsive.

Wonderful cabin!

We had a wonderful vacation and the cabin was perfect. We enjoyed the spacious front porch for every meal and warm evenings. The short walk to the creek was lovely and we also hiked all the way up to Pinecrest Lake. We would love to return and plan to recommend to friends as well.

Family snow trip

Our second visit to this cabin. We love it. Itā€™s beautiful and clean and has just about everything we need. Location is great and close to so much. The owner Nathan is easy to communicate with.

Strawberry Hill Cabin

This cabin is highly recommended. We flew into Columbiaā€™s Bald Eagle Aviation from the central Coast, rented a car, and drove for a scenic 45 minutes. Itā€™s perfect for families and grandparents. The host was easy to communicate with and the cabin has everything you need, including a fully stocked kitchen, a spacious living room, and comfortable beds. The ceiling fans in every room and the portable AC unit kept us cool, which is rare amenity with most rentals. We loved the area - we did karaoke at the Inn down the hill, enjoyed live music at the general store and had a great time at the river. We will definitely be back simply due to the convenience of this gem.

Sublime and cozy

Been coming here 40+ years - mostly camping. Decided to splurge for a family getaway and this place was just amazing. Great location, super cozy place, and the kitchen was the best gathering spot. Meals and games and the best Jenga table!!!Highly recommend. The owners were quick to respond and helpful. Super easy to deal with.

Wonderful shabby chic cottage

Great stay! Perfect size for two families with kids! Close to the lake and ski resort. Close to a small quaint store, and across from a lodge that serves pizza and burgers. We have already booked our next stay. The host was very kind and responsive. Five stars!

Friends Reunion

This place is a gem! Decor is beautiful, can't beat the location and on a hot, hot summer day/night, the air conditioning saved us! Friends stayed at a nearby cabin with no air, and they couldn't sleep at night!

Pinecrest Vacation

Strawberry Hill Cabin was perfect for our family of 5. Loved the open feel, and we practically lived on the wide front porch. We lounged on the couches and chairs and had most meals there. Also, it's very convenient to Pinecrest Lake, as well as to the South Fork Stanislaus River, which is fed by the lake. We waded and swam and used the floatable raft onsite. Our grandson definitely wants to come back!

everything was great only weird thing was a camera at every door drive etc it felt weird but didn't let it bother also zero phone service other then that its heaven on earth ! weather was bad so had the ladies cancel ended up guys trip but made the best of it. if you want a awesome place to stay and don't mind big brother this is it.

Beautiful cabin

This cabin was wonderful. We had a great time. The rooms and bathrooms were beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable and bedding was warm and cozy during our winter stay. You can tell the hosts take pride in their cabin and want their guests to enjoy it. The kitchen is fully stocked and has everything you need to make your meals. This is the best rental weā€™ve stayed in. Check out was easy. Nathan the host was easy to communicate with. Location is great. Close to skiing, next door to a general store. We will definitely be coming back if itā€™s available for our next vacation.

Absolutely perfect!!!!

This might just be my favorite place Iā€™ve EVER rented (and Iā€™ve rented a lot of places over the years!). First off: the house is perfectly decorated. Everything is so clean and the furnishings are comfortable! The house is fully stocked with everything you could need- it really feels like you just borrowed your friends cabin for the weekend (the friend with amazing decorating skills and a knack for making guests feel really really comfortable). We arrived to a fire burning, scented candles glowing, music playing and a delicious homemade cake and wine on the counter. The letter-boards with our family name by both doors was such a sweet touch. Communication with the host was wonderful. I could go on and on about all of the amazing touches- it really is such a special place. I posted some photos to my social media and I couldnā€™t believe how many friends messaged me wanting the info! We canā€™t wait to come back!!!!

Best cabin in the area yet

Stayed for 4 nights in late June. 2 families---4 adults and 5 kids. Plenty of space. 2 bedrooms, each with ensuite bathrooms upstairs (1 with 1 king and 1 with 2 queens). Also a half bath accessible from the main upstairs area. Large kitchen and deck from the upstairs. Downstairs another large room with several beds and couches. I saw a washer dryer area attached too, though we never used it, And a TV with smart setup (all TVs upstairs and downstairs were ready to go streaming). The downstairs was great for the kids to hole up and watch movies at night. The home is a converted barn from the mid-20th century. It has been updated and redone. It appears to be relatively recently (single digit number of years I'd guess) and its the most updated cabin I've stayed in in the area yet. I've probably stayed in 8 or 9 in the last 5 summers. It's a little pricey, but it delivers value. Owner communicated well, place was clean. The amount of living space for spreading was fantastic, you're not on top of each other if you don't want to be. The house is equipped with have air conditioning. While its not central air, there were 2 units upstairs and it stayed very cool when we got into the mid-upper 80s. I'll book again when I go back up with another family to split the bill.

Strawberry Hill

We had a great week at Strawberry Hill Csbin. The cabin had everything that we needed. There was plenty of room for our family of 10. Lots of room outside for the kids to play, while we could sit on the porch and watch them. Enjoyed walking to the river and the trail at the end of the road.

Charming Strawberry Cabin. Just Perfect!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at the Strawberry Hill Cabin. The cabin has all the amenities you will need. Itā€™s spotlessly clean, cozy, comfortable, charming and beautifully decorated. Itā€™s the perfect location for a Sierra Nevada getaway. So many great things to do that are close by. The South Fork of the Stanislaus River is just a two minute walk away. It was just perfect for our grandkids to get introduced to trout fishing. Beautiful Pinecrest Lake is a short five minute drive up the highway. Owners Lindsey and Nathan are the best. Their attention to detail helps to make your stay memorable. We were greeted with a welcoming sign at the door, a bottle of wine and a delicious coffee cake for our enjoyment. We highly recommend this cabin. You simply cannot beat the location! We plan to return again later this year.

Great winter getaway

We had a fantastic time at this cabin over winter break. We came for the snow and spent three days skiing at Dodge Ridge, which was only an easy 5-10 minute drive away. The owner was extremely helpful and communicative throughout the entire stay and we appreciated all the thoughtful personalized touches like the welcome sign on our arrival, wine bottle, and pastries for our enjoyment. The cabin is well equipped with all the necessities including lots of stuff for babies and young kids like a high chair, utensils, and even books and toys (and a baby gate on the stairs). Each upstairs bedroom had its own bathroom plus there was an extra half bath off the living room, and the bathroom heaters were much appreciated on cold winter days. There was ample firewood for the living room fireplace and a whole house generator that came in handy when the power went out. The kids loved the downstairs space too. We would definitely recommend this place and look forward to another visit in the future. Thank you!

Shabby chic cabin close to everything

This cabin is adorable with lots of cute little details. The host was extremely attentive and responded quickly to anything we asked. This place is steps from the general store and the restaurant/ bar. Large living area and good size kitchen. We had a great time!

Cozy getaway

We stayed in this darling cabin over Labor Day weekend. It felt like home as soon as we walked in the door. The house was stocked with necessities from the kitchen to the bathrooms. The beds were comfortable. (We did bring a few small fans to use at night. We like moving air when we sleep). The cabin stays nice and cool inside during the day. The couches were cozy. The cute kitchen was so fun to cook in with the family. Plenty of room for everyone while I cooked. The deck is an inviting place to drink a warm cup of coffee or cocoa in the cool mornings. We also enjoyed playing games out there in the evenings. We enjoyed spending time down at the river. Sunning. Wading. Fishing. It was a nice relaxing weekend. Strawberry Hill Cabin genuinely feels like a home away from home. We will come back! Oh! And the original Marguerite pizza from Miaā€™s is fantastic!!

Summer vacation

We had a great trip to Strawberry Hill Cabin. It is in a perfect location, and has every amenity available. Communication was great.

My family really enjoyed our 2 day stay at the cabin. We loved the welcome gifts and the homey feel of the cabin. The kids loved roasting smores at the fire pit and really enjoyed the snowplay nearby at Leland High Sierra Snowplay and hiking the trails at Pinecrest Lake. It was very convenient having a restaurant and grocery store just down the driveway! Nathan was such a great host and super helpful! This will definitely be an annual family trip!

Centrally located perfect vacation property!

We had to postpone our trip from last year due to Covid. We were still hesitant to travel but decided to make a trip to Pinecrest/Strawberry to get out of the bay area and finally take a vacation. The owner was very proactive in keeping in touch and making sure we had everything we needed. This cabin is absolutely adorable and had everything! We could even turn on and use the TV. Very cozy and functional. We had a great time hanging out with family, BBQ'ing, taking walks, hitting the fishing holes and sitting by the bonfire. The owner has installed a high end air purifier system which gave us peace of mind. Wifi made it very convenient. We will definitely come back! Thank you for an awesome stay!

My family and I really enjoyed our time at your cabin! The way we were welcomed set the tone for the most enjoyable vacation! Our name on a board outside welcoming us and a yummy pastry and bottle of wine on the kitchen counter, music playing, and a warm house. It was truly comfortable and clean, with everything you need .... so impressed with the attention to detail! It felt like home away from home! Well worth the price! Thank you!
