Klettur is a perfect base for your Icelandic holiday. A memorable day at Snæfellsjökull National Park, visit a natural hot spring like Deildartunguhver, amazing waterfall like Hraunfossar, active volcano like Grábrók, crater like Eldborg, historical viking landmark like Reykholt or take a walk into the glacier Langjökull. Stroll through the nearby cozy town of Borgarnes and drop by the cafes, museums, shops, and restaurants. Take a drive to the capital Reykjavík with all its glory, nightlife and culture, a day trip on the Golden Circle and see the exploding Geysir with all its natural power, drop by Thingvellir national park with all its nature phenomenon and view, close up, the beautiful Gullfoss waterfall. In the evenings you will always come back home to this cozy cottage in Brókarstígur and the first thing you might do is, relax in the hot tub and enjoy the views or the Northern Lights in the peace and quietness after a memorable day.

The cabin was built the traditional, Icelandic summerhouse way. It is well constructed and insulated. It is warm and cozy all year-round with all the necessities and comfort. The house has an open kitchen-living room area. In the kitchen is all the tableware and equipment you need for cooking, baking, and serving a lovely meal. The living room has a great corner sofa, a large flat screen TV and films to watch. The bedrooms are cozy and comfortable with great quality beds. Free WIFI.

On the large terrace is a nice hot tub that fits up to 6 people, barbecue grill and comfortable outdoor seating. The terrace is perfect for making a good meal and relaxing in the peaceful environment. Beside the house is a grass lawn which is surrounded by nature, ideal for kids to play.

We have been connected to Borgarfjörður since childhood and would like to share good advice and information about the house or the area so don´t hesitate to send us an email request about anything you would like to know and we will do our best to help you.

Great home to stay in! It was very clean and had all necessary cooking supplies, bedding, towels, etc. The owners provided excellent details for locating and accessing the property. We found this rental when we had a change in our plans while already in Iceland and would've loved to stay here longer. Definitely on our list for another trip!

Great location for Snaelfellsness peninsula

We really enjoyed our few days here at the end of our Iceland trip. The location was great for exploring Snæfellsness Peninsula. Also we were located convenient to restaurants while being private enough. We enjoyed the hot tub. The house was well appointed and very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location. The house is not large, but is very open and comfortable and our party of six enjoyed our stay very much. The beds and linens are very comfortable. We very much appreciated the detailed and thoughtful binder with recommendations for what to do nearby. The location allowed us easy access to both Reykjavík and Snæfellsnes Penninsula, and Borgarnes itself was charming and has many amenities.

Beautiful peaceful location

We had an amazing visit! Everything was clean and comfortable. We all especially enjoyed the hot tub and the beautiful view. The hosts provided very detailed directions and a helpful guide to sites near the cabin. These were greatly appreciated! We highly recommend staying at this lovely cabin.

Beautiful West Iceland Vacation Rental

This was the best place we stayed during our recent trip to Iceland with 2 adults and 3 children. The location was very convenient to a variety of nearby attractions including Snaefellsness & Husafell, as well as to Borgarnes, the local town where we shopped for groceries at Netto. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals during our stay and the house had everything we needed. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings after long days of sightseeing. Definietely would return to stay here again!

Close to Snaelsfesness

This property is really nice. The location is great for exploring Snaefelsness Peninsula. Borgarnes is the nearest town and has a few nice restaurants, a museum, and a walkable community. The home itself was clean with comfortable beds. Check in/out was easy. There is a gate going in that is worked by calling a number. The home has a lockbox and security system, though the area felt very rural and secure.

Great getaway

I went to this property with my family from the US. It is close to Borgarnes but feels utterly remote. The view from the hot tub is gorgeous, the home is comfortable and was well-stocked for cooking meals and staying in. It was a perfect getaway.

Wonderful stay in Iceland

We loved this house! Exactly as described, everything you need in a gorgeous house. Instructions were well laid out to make everything easy to use. Loved the hot tub and the view was amazing. I couldn’t stress enough how wonderful this place was and would absolutely recommend to anyone. We want to come back !

Close to Secluded

This place is far enough from town to be secluded but close enough that you can run get things when needed and easy to get to the attractions. The pictures were don't do it justice as the place is just fabulous. The hot tub was a great treat after long days of sight seeing. Will definitely recommend to anyone who is looking in this area. On the return trip list!

Awesome home!

This house is immaculate and has everything you need and more. The owner was very responsive both before and during our stay. Borgarnes is about 15 minutes away and downtown Reykjavik is about 1 hr 20 minutes away. We couldn't have asked for a cleaner, more well kept home.

Beautiful and Private Home

This host was extremely well prepared and communicative weeks before check-in. They were very accommodating of any needs we had and even provided a convenient packet of information about the local area. The home is beautiful, clean, and private. The hot tub was also very clean always hot. The bed gave possibly the most comfortable night's sleep I've had since I was a baby. We will keep this host in the front of our minds for the next time we travel to Iceland.

Surrounded by beauty

The views from this house are unbelievable. We enjoyed staying at this house and had the luck to see northern lights on our first night. The information packet provided by the owner was very helpful, especially upon arrival. Hot tub was great for relaxing. Only thing we could have used was a microwave, but otherwise the house was perfect!

This was a great little cabin to stay in. The hot tub was very welcome after a long day of traveling and appreciated that there was coffee provided so we had that in the morning. Was nice that adult and two kids could each have their own sleeping facilities. Shampoo and conditioner were provided which was appreciated. Felt pretty isolated so if you want to be able to cook anything there make sure you stop in advance of settling in. We were there less than twelve hours because we got in very late and got going early but it was a great stay!

Great Iceland Rental

This is a great rental located outside Borganes, Iceland. Perfect for day trips to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, local geothermal spa (Kerio) and elsewhere. We loved feeling remote, isolated and away from people but also having the convenience of Borganes being only 8 minutes away. The remote location is great for seeing the Northern Lights if conditions are suitable. The house is very clean, well docorated with nice décor, well supplied and very well maintained. The hot tub was clean, hot and ready to go--awesome on chilly, windy nights! And the bedroom was extremely comfortable--dark room and comfy bed and pillows for sleeping. Definitely worth a visit!

Location - The location of the house is ideal for exploring the west side of Iceland. There are short driving distances to many beautiful places in the nature such as waterfalls and craters. Museums and historical places are also nearby. There is only a 15 minutes drive to the nearest town, Borgarnes, where you can find for example a swimming pool, golf course, shops, bakery, restaurants, library and health care.
