***Please be aware that our island is still going through recovery. All public beach accesses are open, there are over 40 restaurants now open, as well as over 40 stores including Jerry’s Grocery. The Causeway is currently under repair with 20 m.p.h. speed limit. Expect traffic delays coming on and off the island. Neighboring homes and condos are making repairs so expect noise, trucks & equipment at your property and throughout the island. Construction noise from interior work in adjoining or nearby units. Some amenities in your complex may be closed. The pool, tennis & pickleball courts are now open***

This is a ready for the beach unit at a family-friendly 168-unit complex with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an updated kitchen. The unit accommodates up to 6 guests with a king bed in the master bedroom & 2 full size beds in the guest bedroom. (Please note, there is not a sleeper sofa in the living room) Everyone is entertained with 3 TVs, DVD player and Wi-Fi. The screened-in lanai provides an angled view of the nearby beach. For your added convenience the owner provides beach towels and access to their storage locker which is stocked with 4 beach chairs, a large umbrella and beach cart. Loggerhead Cay is located a short distance from the Sanibel Causeway as well as shopping and restaurants on Periwinkle Way.

Loggerhead Cay complex amenities include: a heated pool, gas grills, pickleball/tennis courts, shell washing station, shuffleboard and direct gulf access.

First time at loggerhead cay

We’ve been coming to Sanibel every summer for years but always stayed at pointe santo . Because it wasn’t ready yet we came across this property and although it was strange at first being somewhere different we were very happy with the condo and all of the amenities. I thought it was really cool. There was a separate storage facility for all of the beach supplies other places sometimes have it cramping up the lanai. And speaking of beach supplies, there were plenty and we loved having the buggy to carry everything to the beach. And as far as the condo, it was very nice and updated, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We will definitely be back again!

Fantastic experience, location and weather!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall could not have asked for much more, the location is amazing, the beach is beautiful, the pool is amazing and super close. The only negative was I had forgotten how hot it was here in mid July, I mean I knew it was going to be hot obviously but the heat index was over 105 every day, night time lows almost never got below 80 and the A/C in this unit did struggle to keep it cool, I was nervous with it running almost constantly just to maintain the temp for ~72 in the unit.

They had everything we needed for our stay for the week from a fully stocked kitchen to plenty of beach accessories and towels. The location was also perfect, a quick walk to the beach and easily accessible for parking. The owners were very responsive and friendly during the booking process as well. We will definitely stay here again!

Great location, unit lacking

However, the unit could use some sprucing up. Sanibel Hioliday went out of their way to address our issues.

Great Location, Lovely Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Loggerhead Cay 232 was exactly as described. The owner and the rental company could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. We had hesitated making our final payment due to the red tide, and they graciously allowed us to wait a few more weeks before making our decision. We were SO glad we didn't cancel, because the beaches and Gulf had cleared by our arrival.The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots, pans, flatware and dishes. (Although I really wish all the condos would come with a crockpot!)The master bedroom was fantastic. If a couple were traveling alone, this unit would be ideal. There were two of us staying in the guest room, however, and as much as I LOVE the fact that there were two full size beds instead of twins (I wish more units were like that). We really wished there had been a vanity in the guest bathroom for our toiletries to sit out since we had two women sharing that space. The walk to the beach wasn't too far, and was made much simpler by the fact that the unit provides plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas and a wagon for hauling them! There were even styrofoam coolers and beach toys galore in the storage room!Overall, the unit was spotless and cheery, with a great location just a couple minutes from the Lighthouse in one direction and Jerry's grocery story in the other!

Another great week on the Island!

Most everything you need in the kitchen if you are cooking in. Our only complaint is the incredibly slow internet speed. It was almost impossible to successfully use the internet because it was soooo slow. For people who work on vacation, this was frustrating. Really my only complaint though.

Clean unit, quiet property, super close to beach, great pool, ama

Reviewer Comments: The location is great - close to the amazing beach and close enough to amenities (the bike path starts right outside the property), but still nicely tucked away. The property is quiet and peaceful, and the pool was clean and big and a nice temperature. Our rambunctious kids were not shushed while they played (something I had heard happens at some of the other properties in the area). The unit itself was very clean and had a good layout. The parking, elevator and garbage/recycling are all conveniently close. The beds/linens/pillows were pretty good. The view was amazing. Also, the provision of games and beach stuff is a nice touch. I'd recommend just a few upgrades for the owner - 1. I really would have liked a few good paring knives, 2. we seemed to run out of hot water when all six of us needed a shower after a day out (not sure if you can do anything about this), 3. It would be nice to have a supply of things like toilet paper, coffee filters, ziplocs, and tinfoil on hand, and 4. it would be great to have a keyless entry on the unit. Re: the property management company - Check-in was easy and the management agency was very accommodating (even giving us a ride when we locked ourselves out of our rental!). Overall, this rental was easy, clean, and suited us well. I'd recommend it for families.

Comfortable condo, decorated cute with plenty of room for my husband and I. Being so close to the ocean was my favorite part. My husband loved the pool. We had a very fun and relaxing time and would definitely go again!
