Location Villa Status Grande Practically in the centre of the beautiful Ionian island, Vougiato is a low-key village in Zante, still holding old traditions and keeping a slow pace. Soothing landscapes of pristine nature encircle villa Status and architectural gems of Byzantine churches attract the few village residents and guests. Olive trees and vineyards are aplenty here, giving you just the right amount of inspiration for your next wine or olive oil tasting in Zakynthos. Beaches Laganas beach, the biggest one you will find on the island, is 7 km away and is well-known for its clear waters and for being the place where the Caretta-Caretta turtles lay their eggs. The sandy beach of Tsilivi, also 15 minutes from the villa, offers a shore long enough for swimming, walking, or sunbathing. Try some water sports or relax under the Greek sun. Both resorts offer sunbeds for rent and beach bars for all-day snacking. Local Markets & Shopping The closest convenience store is located right in the centre of Vougiato village, where basic amenities can be found.
