Recipient of York Builder’s Association Custom House of the Year in 2017. A place of comfort inside and great exploration opportunities outside! Sit by the firepit, enjoy the birds singing or explore the pasture down by the run (stream). Top-of-the-line appliances in a spacious kitchen. Explore the woods or just relax with a book. Events: Perfect location for a wedding, shower, family reunion, company picnic etc. Use of Barn, Firepit; and plenty of space to make any event special.

Wonderful stay for recharging with my husband and our dog. Beautiful house and property… and as described. Everything you may need is in the house. Mark was a great host and we were able to call or text him with any questions. Mark even met us on our last day and gave us a personal tour of the house and property. Would recommend and will plan other trip in the warmer months!

My husband and I stayed here for our elopement weekend, and it was truly magical. From the smaller welcoming touches to the amazing architecture, the creative blend of old and new, modern amenities yet rustic appeal. We were on a retreat, and yet it felt like home away from home from the moment we arrived. The home was immaculate, the layout smart and thoughtful, with a book of helpful hints to guide us. I love a lot of light and windows, and Plum Run did not disappoint. Being able to bring our dog with us was such a gift in itself, and she thoroughly enjoyed exploring the grounds. Although we didn't begin to utilize it, the kitchen is more well equipped than our own! Our original thought was to marry on the stone patio surrounded by trees but we ended up on the patio instead and it was just perfect. There is no shortage of potential wedding sites here! And the property is well supplied- from reading materials, to cleaning supplies, to dishes, platters and decor, fire starter for the fire pit, it was all there. I brought supplies of my own but made use of many items already at Plum Run. We used a barrel and some chairs from the barn to complete our wedding site. I also love that the den was equipped with a full length mirror, a desk area, and a lot of light, it was perfect for getting ready for my wedding ceremony. The run area itself is so peaceful, and we made friends with a few cows one morning. We could not be happier with our stay, and can't wait to return!

Such a lovely home in a quiet peaceful setting. Close to attractions and food. Would stay there again. Host was attentive and home had everything.

While enjoying Gettysburg during the 162 anniversary we chose this peaceful atmosphere away from the city. Host was over the top courteous to our needs.

Simply amazing

We had the most amazing stay here this past week. Couldn’t have asked for anything more our host was on top of everything. The property can be simply put as a home “out of a magazine”. We will definitely be back.

Lovely place!

This was our second stay here. We really enjoy the remote location (peace and quiet) yet the close proximity to New Oxford, East Berlin, and Gettysburg. Mark’s communication as a host is excellent. The property is beautiful, and we so much appreciate that we can bring our dog along. The area down near the creek is so peaceful! We enjoyed walking around the acreage. The house itself is a work of art. And you won’t want to get out of the shower!

Countryside Luxury

This space is breathtaking. The pictures do not show you how grand the space is in person. It's incredibly well appointed, like staying in a William Sonoma or Pottery Barn catalog. The farm table in the main hall hosted a feast of 9 adults, and 7 kids. The bathroom the mail floor sleeping areas were very easy to access for my walker dependent disabled elderly mother. The kitchen is a true gourmet chefs kitchen well stocked with high quality knives and pans - we travel with our own knives but were impressed the host had high quality ones available. The property was well maintained and the kids LOVED exploring the creekside area as well as the patios. My children have asked that anytime we visit friends and family in PA we stay here. The host was very organized, communicative, professional, and available for questions. Highly recommend.

Great!

This property is an awesome place to rent. Beautiful farmland area. Quiet and relaxing. Close to Gettysburg and surrounding communities. The house is clean and comfortable. The land is fantastic to walk and the cows are a hit. Our dogs love to roam the property and check out all of the new smells. Would highly recommend.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect spot for my family of four to getaway to for a long weekend. The house is beautiful and super clean and the property is so relaxing! Spent evenings around the fire pit and took daytime strolls with our pup to visit the cow. Close to many historic Gettysburg attractions. Communication with home owner was great from the start! Would definitely recommend!!
