It was a good location. Lots of room and clean. We had no issues. Some things can be improved such as bigger pots and pans as you can have 6 people there. Wifi and a coffee machine would be amazing and the shower needs an upgrade. A shower curtain is a bit yuk. But overall it was good and we enjoyed it. What you see is what you get its old but neat and tidy and the check in and communication was great.

Great house in a great location

This house is perfect for a holiday. It is neat clean and tidy and in a fabulous location. It is also secure and has everything that you need. Its only a 5 minute walking distance from the house to town and a stones throw from the water. And the yard was very secure for my two dogs.

A great property in an excellent location. However the property is pretty tired and needs maintenance. Thread bare carpet, sagging mattress, loose screen door and window latches, curtain rod anchors failing etc.

Mbale stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Mbale was good, it is in a great location and we enjoy having a decent yard. The down side we find is the air conditioning not working overly well, and in order to keep everything from getting too damp, all of the windows must be open, which defeats the purpose of having the aircon running unfortunately. We turned the evaporative air conditioning off a number of times during our 9 night as we could feel the couches in the living area getting damp. I believe one split system in the living area would be sufficient to cool the entire house if it was kept shut up. Apart from this we cannot fault the cleanliness and other amenities in the house.
Resposta de VrboOwner em 5 de fev. de 2026
Thank you for your feedback and for staying at Mbale. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the location, yard, and cleanliness of the home. We appreciate your comments regarding the evaporative air conditioning and understand how this could affect comfort during your stay. Your suggestion about a split system in the living area has been noted and will be considered as we review future improvements.

Great Little Spot

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very well-placed, clean, simple little home with everything we needed. With shops in the area closing so early it would be fabulous to arrive to a small starter-pack (eg) 5 teabags, 2-cup container of milk, 3 sugar sachets, 1 'coin-size' piece of soap, and a toilet roll. I understand it is the customers job to supply these for the stay but even miniatures of these products to arrive to at night when everything is closed would have been SO helpful and welcoming.

Great Location and everything we needed

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Neat and tidy house. You can see the river and coast from the front garden, and the pub is a short walk away (there is nothing too far away in Kalbarri). There were two blue tongued lizards living in the back garden and we came back to find a big roo munching on the grass in the front garden one afternoon. The only minor issue was that the architrave running along the face-brick wall in the laundry was not sealed, meaning that bits if debris were being blown onto the work surface, but such a minor thing and easy for the owner to fix

Great accomodation

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The functionality, layout and supplies in this accomodation were perfect. My only complaints wete the shower curtain!!! The shower recess is reasonably small, the curtain is set back quite a way and it blows in onto your skin all of the time while showering (it needs weighting at the bottom or changing to a screen) and there was no measuring jug for cooking (very minor) The garden was fantastic for our dog,the beds and couches were super comfortable for us and the booking and key pick up were very easy.
