Summer weekly rental Saturday to Saturday. We encourage you to inquire before booking. Cute house (right half of duplex) on the ocean side of Route 1. Off season two night minimum. Two bedrooms, two baths, large deck, washer-dryer. The house is two levels with a bedroom/bathroom and deck upstairs, a bedroom/bathroom, living room and kitchen downstairs Kitchen is complete with oven, stove, full sized refrigerator and dishwasher. Unit has two reserved parking spaces next to the house. Upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bed. Downstairs bedroom has bunks with a full bed and a twin bed. Wireless Internet and TV is included. TVs are in the upstairs bedroom and in the living room. We ask that you bring your own sheets and towels. This home is central in Dewey, near the Starboard, and steps from the beach. House is on a quiet corner of New Orleans street and offers much more space and privacy than any standard hotel or condo. Dogs are welcomed - requires an additional $50 non-refundable pet cleaning fee. Sorry no Senior Week rentals.

Close to the beach and comfortable

Close to the beach, space for our things, and loved the keyless entry. Only negative was the sofa bed was in rough shape and some serious hairballs under it (but we probably all have those). Parking was really tight but doable once we used all the kindness we could with the neighbors. We would stay here again

Loved this place

We loved our stay at J.D.ā€™s place. It was so close to the beaches and restaurants in Dewey Beach. It was very clean and had everything we needed to be happy and comfortable. J.D. was excellent with communicating, even telling us that the place would be ready earlier than our 3 pm check in time. We would definitely stay there again

Great mini trip

We had a short, two light stay last minute due to our Europe trip being cancelled. We stayed in the off season, but was a fantastic trip. The condo was perfect and great that we could bring our dogs. Beach and plenty of restaurants all within a block. Close to rehobeth inlet and outlets and also close to Bethany. Overall very pleased and would stay here for an entire week.

First Dewey Experience

Beautifully decorated and met all of our needs! Although a bit tight, we were able to cook, eat as a family, bathe com, and keep up with laundry needs throughout the week. The location cannot be any better- walking distance to the beach, restaurants, mini golf, coffee shops and more!

Beach and dog lovers

We rented this house with our small dog for long weekend. The communication with host was quick, easy and helpful from beginning to end. The house is clean, small and minimalistic. The proximity to dog friendly beach and a beautiful beach at that was amazing. We found that no regular tv but having to use youtube for basic tv a big turnoff. Overall the stay was very good.

End of Summer at Dewey Beach!

My husband and I had a great time in Dewey as always (until the tropical storm ended our beach time). We've been renting from J.D. for many years (even before the renovations). J.D. is always responsive. The place is awesome, clean, and fits our needs perfectly. The location is great. A half block walking distance to the beach and to several restaurants and entertainment spots. We always have a great time and love being able to bring our dog who LOVES playing on the beach.

The house is nice and very clean inside. The parking was a challenge and is very tight. The steps to the upstairs are very steep. Downstairs shower is small and odd shape. All in all a nice place, but no outside area to sit in and the outside balcony/deck overlooks a dumpster from the nearby restaurant.

Great Week in Dewey

The biggest attraction is the short walk to the beach and to the heart of the town. The house is set back from New Orleans street making it quieter, but eliminating the opportunity to interact with passers by while relaxing on the deck. The renovations are great and the property is very clean! The kitchen is big enough and the air-conditioning is first rate having simple remote controls for each area. The drawbacks are the deflated couch and the small beds in the upstairs master bedroom. Overall, we enjoy our time there and would return again next season.

Dewey Beach Review

So this review is hopefully help people decide if this place is for you with pros and cons of the duplex. First it is just as pictured, the furniture in particular the patio/deck furniture is rusted badly and the living room tables are very worn but nothing to the point to interfere with the place. Location is just off route 1 costal highway so Saturday night was really rough with traffic noise until 2am with motorcycles going by every couple of minutes but the other nights were much more quiet. That being said the location cannot be beat with so many food and souvenir stores to go to within a 4-5 minute drive walk. Sandy pony donuts is a must go to they are to die for, rusty rudder for a nice sit down dinner on the bay is perfect and vanderwender for the best ice cream! It is only a couple minutes walk to the beach and you donā€™t have to cross route 1, which is a huge bonus!!! The location really CANNOT be beat so if you donā€™t mind things a little dated for a perfect location this is your spot. Also I took my dog with and she was able to enough the beach herself being that Dewey is dog friendly is a massive plus!!! All in all the pros definitely out weighed the cons and it was a PERFECT vacation!!!!!!

In need in comfort upgrades. Sofa very uncomfortable. wood support/frame prominante while sitting. microwave takes time to fiquire out how to use and is large and bulky occupies alot of needed counter space. first floor shower is dinky small an hard to use even for smaller sized person. Do not try to start the shower and then get in you will wash the whole bathroom. This place is Not an option to use for family that is medically unable to ambulate stairs. Showers have no place to hang or place wash cloths while showering. Went during the off season and good coffee places were not open during the visit had to make due with the appliances on site. Both coffe makers were filthy. Just bring your own. Parking is a joke. Eaily boxed in I'm sure when its the busy season. This place has a great location and the beach is awsome and that's about it.

We had a little trouble gaining access, because I didn't know that the owner would send a separate email with the info. I assumed everything would come from the VRBO app as all the ones I had rented in the past. Once we got that sorted out, the place was fine for the weekend and was close to the beach which is what we wanted.
