This beautiful second story apartment, completed in 2015, is located in Princeton-by-the-sea on beautiful pillar point harbor in lovely half moon bay, California, 25 miles south of San Francisco, ca and 54 miles north of Santa Cruz, ca just off of scenic highway 1.

This executive style lodging is appointed with a comfortable master suite (California king-sized bed), walk-in closet, loft that can sleep 3-6 people (3 twin beds that convert to king-sized beds), lovely living space with sky-high cathedral ceilings, modern chef's kitchen with stainless steel appliances, laundry facilities, breathtaking dining and entertainment area with fireplace and deck. High-definition, Smart TV and complimentary WiFi. Perfect for entertaining or relaxing after a day on the water or at the beach. Ocean views abound from every window. Well located for your San Francisco bay area vacation or short-term rental for relocation.

A great place to stay, even on a rainy weekend…..

The weather was rainy and windy, but I couldn’t think of a better place to stay and enjoy the coast! The radiant heated floors, fireplace, deep soak bathtub, loft with 180 degree views, and well equipped kitchen made our stay wonderful in so many ways. We are thankful, and look forward to coming back again.

We stayed at the Captains Quarters for a long weekend while attending my nieces wedding at Mavericks House. This location was incredibly convenient to all things wedding, all weekend long and we are really looking forward to staying here again sometime! There are restaurants within walking distance and walks along the beach nearby. The property itself was extremely clean, bright and welcoming. The kitchen is very well equipped (and huge) and the beds are comfy! The owner/management was excellent at communicating with us if we had any questions during our stay. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing Place!

My friends and I stayed to celebrate our 50th birthdays and we loved everything about the place! It was clean, well decorated, the perfect location and there were nice touches and amenities throughout. The owner was super kind and responsive, and was really flexible about our check-in/out time. Overall, an excellent experience!

Perfect, quiet, access to beach and town

Yes! We love traveling with our dogs. This was the perfect place in the best location! We took the dogs for many walks around town and on the beach. Many places to stop and have cocktails or beer and have our dogs with us on the many outdoor patios. Beautiful, comfortable home!

Perfect Getaway

This property was wonderful. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. If you have an older dog, please be aware there are a lot of steps to the upstairs apartment. Very quiet and perfect weekend!

Great Special Retreat

The house is lovely, stocked kitchen. Only minuses are one bathroom and ocean view is only from the sides. Hotel is right in front of deck so no straight on ocean view. But still enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

Great place for a family of 4-6

We had a great stay here over 3 days. We even brought our dog with us which was what made us stay here. Beds were comfy. Everything was very clean. Plenty of towels and kitchen supplies. We ate at the Old Princeton Landing which was about a 3 minute walk and went to the dawn patrol coffee place literally around the corner in the morning. Loved the ease of it all! Dog friendly beach just a few minutes walk away. Highly recommend!

Great Location for Stay-cation!!!

A fantastic place for our stay-cation!Large family living space with deck overlooking Pillar Point. Great kitchen for making family meals or dine at Mezza Luna a block away. Private Master King bedroom with full bath, loft with two Kings & Twin bed. Convenient extra toilet one floor down. Just a short walk to dog friendly beach for sunrise or sunset!Ab was a great host & easy to communicate with. We’ll be back!!!

Staying at Captain's quarters, Half Moon Bay

This is a great rental. The owner was great, easy to communicate with and very responsive. The view from the deck is amazing, the kitchen, dining room and living room layout was awesome. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need including a lot spices, salt and pepper grinders, etc. All the beds were very comfortable, master bedroom and lofts have plenty of space. All pictures for this listing are very accurate except the view is more spectacular than the pictures on the site. Location s also great as we were walking distance to the Maverick's House (wedding ceremony) and to several nearby restaurants and bars. We highly recommend this rental. We plan on staying here again.

NorCal Beach Getaway

The Captains Quarters was a perfect getaway for the weekend. The entrance to the place is a little different but once we got inside, we were blown away. My entire family of 8 adults slept, relaxed, ate, and showered very comfortably. The roomy loft area with 3 large beds was great. The extra 1/2 bathroom downstairs that was provided really came in handy too. We were impressed with not only the location and roominess of the property but also the cleanliness and quality. The bedding, bathroom and kitchen appliances, cookware and dinnerware were in perfect condition. Everything was so fresh and brand new, there was a lot of thought and effort put into accommodating guests. The owner Ab was extremely accommodating and helpful. We thank him for his flexibility and easiness to communicate with. I'd recommend this wonderful place to any family wanting to experience Half Moon Bay, California.

Amazing vacation rental

We rented a total of 3 VRBO on this trip and this was our favorite. It was decorated so cute. Everything was available that we could have needed. The location was wonderful within walking distance to bars and restaurants. Ab was very responsive and pleasant to work with. Grateful to have come across this beautiful rental in Half Moon Bay.

captains quarters indeed!

we booked this rental for the boy half of our wedding party! our wedding was a friday and we booked the place wed - sat for the the groomsman to stay (this location was next door to our venue). we ended up needing to book an extra night (tues) and ab was more than accommodating! was thoughtful and communicative and even dropped off some bagels for the gang. we did have the entire wedding party over for dinner thursday and were a bit loud, which caused a bit of an issue. we responded promptly to his concerns and it felt like things were resolved. the space itself is gorgeous, with natural light and more than enough space. looks out on the water, seamless to get in an out of, and ideal location. would recommend this vrbo to any responsible, respectful group (:

A great spot in a sleepy beach town

Great experience all the way around. From check in to check out….super easy. Well equipped kitchen and loft. Can walk to lots of places for food, drinks and hiking. We enjoyed our time here a lot.

The Captain's Quarters exceeded our expectations. The layout and design of the house is perfect to take advantage of the location which has wonderful views to the harbor and surrounding hills. The home although large and spacious feels very warm and welcoming. We didn't want to leave.

Wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Captain’s Quarters! The property is beautifully appointed and very clean. Plenty of room for our family of four (our boys loved the loft space!). Absolutely beautiful views of the harbor and all the way to Mavericks on a clear day… we can’t wait to visit again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful Location

Spent a wonderful relaxing 21/2 weeks at this comfortable modern apartment. Ab is a great host and the apartment is clean and well equipped. There is so much to do in the area - hiking, golf, good restaurants. We will be back!

Stay for nearby wedding

My daughter was married 4 doors down from this awesome home., at Mavericks House. We had friends and family coming and going, working on floral arrangements, and getting ready for the wedding. The home was awesome and Ab the owner was so accommodating. Neighborhood is up and coming with outdoor venues with live music just a block away. A++
