Sandpiper August 2026

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying at Sandpiper GulfShores for many years. It is a moderately priced location and meets the needs of our large group .. 24 this year. I have stayed in multiple units .. some nicer than others. I was pleasantly surprised to see the updates in 11A as I had stayed in it last year and considered moving to another unit until some much needed improvements were made. I was unhappy when I went to rebook our room this year for next year...a full year in advance..and discovered the rate was increased by 10%. It includes a $200 cleaning fee which is a joke. The rooms are surface clean only. In needs a deep clean for sure. Plus our rooms are never ready at the stated time and it appears they just keep moving check time back to accommodate this. 3 pm to 4 pm and now 5 pm. As stated...we stay at Sandpiper because it is affordable and we are willing to overlook the delayed check in and dirty rooms. Two families in our group rent 2 room to accommodate their family. A 10% increase per year will soon outprice what you receive and accept. I asked if I could receive a discount for booking a year in advance and our long history of renting at Sandpiper and was told I did receive a discount. ??? Apparently the increase was more than 10%.

We truly appreciate your repeat patronage and are so glad you were able to enjoy the lovely updates make to 11A. Many people love Sandpiper, and the first Saturday of August is always a big turnaround day, resulting in check in times later in the afternoon. We are always happy to provide guests their check in packets so that they can enjoy the facilities and the beach while they wait for our call that their condo is ready. Your rent rate has gone up 11% since 2020, and the housekeeping fee has gone up $25. Deep cleans, a four-day process, don't occur until the fall, after the busy spring and summer seasons. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

Great Place at a Great Price

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit was clean and in great shape. We’re a guy’s golf trip (50’s and 60’s) so we don’t have a lot of kitchen/appliance needs; however, we did have everything we need. The satellite TV worked and had a great sports package. The restrooms/showers were clean and in great working order. We will be back.

Always a good time.... but

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Sandpiper is a diamond in the rough. I've been coming down approx 29 years and staying in the same condo area. My whole family does. It seems this year, the amenities in the condo were going down. The furniture was absolutely filthy, thank goodness for the sheets. But, I know things can improve. The price is goind up, but the condos are going down....

Beautiful unit-but

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As always, our stay in Alabama was enjoyable overall. This year ,however, we experienced somewhat less than what we are used to at The Sandpiper . We found the unit needed a deep cleaning throughout and the furniture needed updating ,it looked good but it was obviously old and broken down. There was not a comfortable chair or couch there. It was in need of replacement. We are looking forward to another great year at The Sandpiper next year. Thank You , Dave Welch

Very Disappointed

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was filthy. The carpet was stained and dirty . The dishwasher smelled terrible and had standing water in it that I am not sure how long it had been there. The floors were dirty and the furniture was dusty. When you have to pay such a high cleaning fee, you expect to stay in a clean room. Will not stay in this unit again.

We truly do regret the housekeeping issues you experienced in your condo. Had we known, we would certainly have sent a housekeeping to address them. Please be assured that we consider the failure to meet minimum housekeeping standards unacceptable and apologize for your inconvenience. Know that our office is open seven days a week in order to assist our guests in any way needed, and we hope that you will call Bender Realty when you are ready to return to the Gulf Coast!

Shrimp Fest was good!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 11A was not what I was expecting. It was dirty and the furniture needs updating. Uncomfortable couches, filthy chair, drawer falling out of dresser, disappointing. I called the office about toothpaste on the mirrors and a picture in the bathroom and what I hoped was ketchup on the comforter and filthy pillow sham. There was something running down the wall by the kitchen trash can. Ewe. They responded and changed the bedding but that was all. A place can not charge a lot for the condo, along with a cleaning fee and provide this. If I stay there again, it certainly won't be in that unit.

We truly regret the issues you experienced during your stay. Sandpiper is a wonderful property, and it is unacceptable that our failure to meet minimum housekeeping standards should negatively affect your stay. We hope that our partial refund of the housekeeping fee you paid will somehow make up for the inconvenience, and we welcome the chance to assist you in choosing your next vacation spot in Gulf Shores.

Sandpiper 11A

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The worst we have stand in in the 9nyears we have stayed. To start we had to tighten all the chairs in the kitchen area before we could even sit down. Then the wall they just redid in the living area we had to screw in the plug box because it was just hanging out of the wall. The main bathroom the door wouldn't shut all away because the bottom hinge was hanging off the wall. We had a roach on our ceiling fan in the main bedroom we took care of that ourselves ourself. There was not a broom a month a bucket or a dustpan in the condo anywhere. The king size bed in the main bedroom the mattress had such a bad dent in it we slept in a hole the whole two weeks we were there. We met the people who have always stayed in there before and they even told us that's why they weren't there this year because it's disgusting. If you're looking at the couch the right hand side of the couch every time you sat on it you sat on the floor. Biloxi has a hoe in the back of it.

We truly appreciate your repeat patronage of Sandpiper. It's a wonderful property, and we're glad to have you back, year after year. We regret any inconvenience these items may have caused you during your stay. We look forward to seeing you next year!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 11A at Sandpiper is out dated and all furniture is in horrible shape. All 3 beds are falling apart and no support, you literally fall off both sides of all 3 beds. Bath rooms are outdated and ceiling fan does not work. Couches have no seat supports and you have to double up cushions not to fall through couch seat
