Shipwatch oceanfront condominiums, offered by Hodnett Cooper, have been a favorite family destination for many years. With just 52 residences, Shipwatch is a quiet community ideal for both weekend getaways and multiple month escapes.

Each residence features two bedrooms, two full baths, a combined living, dining, and kitchen area, and a private balcony. Shipwatch #100 offers a direct ocean view across the pool and lawn.

Community amenities include a gated community, boardwalk access to the heart of St. Simons' sand beaches, a swimming pool, large grassy lawn area, outdoor grill .and complimentary in-room high speed internet service.

Nice Getaway

Very cute condo not far from the beach. The mattress in the master wasn’t the most comfortable but the rest of the condo was nice.

Chilling at the beach

Good location. Access to beach, close to food and shopping. short drive to the village. Only problem we experienced was that the beds were awful.

Great location and perfect spot for a quick getaway.

This is an older property but very well maintained. It is a bit of a walk to the beach but well worth it. I recommend calling ahead if you want to rent bikes at the property otherwise it is a short walk to rent them. I would definitely recommend this property.

Very clean condo with everything you need for a quick beach trip. If you're traveling with more than 4 guest I would suggest a larger condo. This was great, just a little small for larger groups. Very clean, updated and in a great location!

Perfect family vacation spot

We loved the condo and the location. The walk to the beach was so beautiful! The master bedroom was the perfect size to have the pack n play by the bed. The couch bed definitely needs updating so our other kiddo just slept on it as the couch folded up. We love the boardwalk like levels at the condo. We hope to come back when it’s warm and swim next time! The beach in front of the condo was perfect and beautiful, whenever I spoke to anyone about the condo on the phone or email they were always very friendly and courteous. We loved our stay!

Clean location but MOSQUITOS

The property itself was nice and had everything I needed. The pool was surrounded by mosquitos and the walk to the beach was through grass/marsh that was infested with mosquitos and ants and made the walk to/from the beach awful. We were covered head to toe and bug spray did not help!

Beautiful update condo Oceanfront view

The only problem we had was with the air conditioning in the bedrooms. The vents did not blow air out hard enough which made for very hot nights sleeping. There were no fans in bedrooms so that made it worse. Otherwise it is a fabulous unit!

Close walk to the beach. It was a bit hot in the bedroom at night. Lots or restaurants close by.

We loved St Simons, the property location and amenities. Access was easy and property was fairly represented online. Comparing to other previous condo rentals in SC and FL, the unit we stayed in (100) is in need, minimum, of a deep cleaning or better yet a remodel to bring it up to standards of other properties in its price point. The property in general is nice, but can use some TLC. Pool deck needs to be resurfaced. We would like to come back to St Simons, we’ll look at this and other properties too.

Getaway

Unit was cozy and quiet plus a tunnel view of the ocean from the porch. Enjoyed the porch swing and short walk to the beach. The BBQ area was very nice as was the pool. Would definitely stay again.

Great place for a Quick Trip

We could not stay the entire week so we needed somewhere that would allow a partial week. It was perfect for this! Not too crowded and clean!

The perfect getaway we needed

We loved the island and the condo. Everything was clean and thought out extras. The view was amazing and the building was a neat design with the open wooded decks and tropical plants. Would definitely visit again.

Perfect for small family; Bring a fan

We had such a good time staying in this condo for a weekend getaway. It’s perfect for our small family of 3 with a soon to be one year old; however, if we had one additional person I would recommend a larger condo unless 2 kids around the same age would be staying in the twin bedroom. The only thing I wish I had that would’ve made our stay even better was a fan in the master bedroom. It seemed like this room took the longest to cool off and became very hot at times during the night. After reading reviews prior to our stay about the office sometimes keeping frequently requested items, I did ask them if they had any, but they did not. The water pressure in the master shower also wasn’t very strong but the guest bath had perfect pressure. I had this problem recently with a new shower head I purchased for my home and was able to remove a washer in the shower head which made ALL the difference and was a very easy fix. The balcony overlooks the pool which was never very crowded to my surprising on this holiday weekend, having only a handful of kids (max) playing at any given time. If going to the pool, it’s not even necessary to pack a bag, as the pool is literally 1/2 flight of stairs and about 10 steps total out the front door of condo 100. Being this close I was pleasantly surprised we couldn’t hear the gate to the pool constantly slamming from inside our room. The beach was a very easy walk and the staff working at Shipwatch were extremely nice and accommodating during our stay. The condo seems to be updated and is very cute and well decorated. Perfect for a small family but if bringing a group of 4+ I would prefer a larger condo but I couldn’t find anywhere else on the beach with a view and in a good location who could beat the price! Hope to come back next year!
