Mountain Adventure Spa Escape is a 4 bedroom 2 bathroom Ohakune holiday home complete with a spa pool, SKY TV (with Sport), Nespresso Machine, electric blankets, Playstation and games room. This centrally located mountain base with all the modern conveniences is just 20 minutes from Turoa ski field.

This Ohakune holiday home includes a sunny and warm, open plan living as well as a fully featured modern kitchen fitted with all new appliances. Everything you need for a relaxed and comfortable stay is on hand, including a Nespresso machine... unwind in the lounge or relax on the deck after a great day successfully completing the Tongariro crossing.

There are 4 bedrooms at this Ohakune accommodation, and all have electric blankets. Bedrooms 1, 2 and 3 each have a queen bed, while bedroom 4 has a single bunk set and a double bunk set.

Come off the mountain to a home filled with warmth from the heat pump and step into the shower in one of the two well-appointed bathrooms. Continue the evening watching the sunset over the mountain from the deck, enjoy a spa, or relax on the couch where you can enjoy some TV or a DVD and SKY TV plus Sports. Otherwise make use of the games room where you can give the PlayStation a go, complete with a foosball table. The house is also well set up for babies with port-a-cot and highchair.

Enjoy your morning coffee at the breakfast bar, grab your gear and head up the mountain for days on the slopes - Turoa is less than 30 minutes drive, and Whakapapa is just 45 mins away. With the Tongariro shuttle at your door and positioned just a comfortable stroll to the town centre, where you can explore the local cafes and bars.

This is the perfect option for 2-3 couples or a family group to enjoy an Ohakune escape, with a great set up for a refreshing break away... stay in and relax, or head out to explore everything on offer in the Ruapehu region.

The property is very conveniently located. It also has heaps to offer. The games room and spa were winners, with entertainment options available for young and old. We didn’t anticipate the noise from the road though, and found getting wet gear dry to be difficult without a tumble dryer or dehumidifier. All in all it was a good stay.

Good location, loads of space, nice open living area for socialising. Has everything you need and a 5 min walk from town.

Old mates cycle weekend

Great location, lovely property and plenty of room for three couples. Would have been better if there was a drier (we had a couple of wet days) but we managed. Overall a very good place. Walked or cycled everywhere.

Great Location and size of house. The down side was the lack of cleanliness. and some of the amenities. On arrival, I noticed the coffee machine and milk frother were dirty to the extend that there was mold in the frother. I mentioned the frother and coffee maker to Bach care and they apologised, said it was not their normal standard. I had also mentioned it would be nice to have extra towels as being winter nothing was drying fast with only two very basic heated towel rails. They asked If we would like more towels and I thought it was by way of an offer to compensate for the dirty Coffee maker and frother. But no, They still wanted to charge another 175 for some extra towels. So I said no and left my comments until now.The toilets had urine around the rims and on making the one of the beds the next day I noticed there were stains on the sheets! ( not any of ours!) I am not sure how things work with Bach care and the owners for the homes they manage, but in this instance due to the time of year we had the dryer going almost non stop. There was no where for wet and damp Snow gear so everything was inside the house and we had a heater set up 24/7 in one bathroom to dry everything. so possibly a better summer house especially for wear and tear and cost to owners.

The bonding of siblings

Overall we were very impressed with the property. Plenty of room, modern kitchen and close to the township. I have a couple of comments: 1. very hard to find the property and recommend a large signage at the roadside 2. More than one key should be available given there were a lot of us 3. check the products available eg, dishwasher products, toilet rolls. 4. some of the curtains had come offf the rails in the lounge. Overall we were quite impressed and we all had a wonderful time and feel the siblings and partners (9) have re-bonded. Yahoo! Thank you this is a lovely 'bach'. Trish

Price Quality Mismatch

I rented this for a weekend approx 6 weeks ago. It failed in respect of cleanliness and bedding. Bachcare partially recompensed us for the lack of cleanliness but the matresses, I expect, remain extremely thin and impair sleep. For the price the quality of the furnishings is poor. A dining room chair completey collapsed under our grandmother leaving her sprawled on her back on the floor. She narrowly escaped serious injury and when i reported this I was warned that I may have to pay to replace the chair!!. On top of this the frame of the couch was broken, the door lock required repair and the outside barbeque table similarly required repair. Many of the furnishings are warehouse quality and are past their useful life yet we were charged over $700/night. Previous reviews in respect of most of these issues have been ignored. Hire this home with your eyes open.
