Great vacation

We planned on getting down to the area early and visit Darien to kill time for the 4pm check in and they called at 2 saying that it was ready to move in early. The location was perfect. Centrally located, super close to the beach. Good restaurants along the beach path very close. Biggest negative is that the kitchen was almost unusable with how poorly it was socked. The condo was clean enough, but could definitely use some attention. Overall happy with our stay.

Perfect for a quick trip

The unit was very clean. Walk to beach wasn't bad at all. Would stay here again. Everything we needed was in the unit. If you like quiet time this is the place to be.

Great Location and Peaceful place to stay

We had a great time on the island. The place is easy to find and was clean and tidy when we arrived. No communication was needed during the stay. Location is fantastic. Close to the beach and easy walk to everywhere we needed to go. Great place to chill out. We will be back

Great place

I was pleasantly surprised by the apartment. No ocean view, but it was just a short walk to the sand. Manager was quick to respond to our only concern. Great vacation and would rent again.

Good location

Very close to the beach. However the listing said they had a pool. You get a pass to a pool 2 miles away--not convenient

Jekyll Island visit

Property was clean, within walking distance of beach and very spacious. However this property is very outdated, the mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. There was no outside lighting which made it difficult when climbing the stairs in the evening. It meets your basic needs but I would probably look for something nicer if we return.

Reviewer Comments: Do not let the entryway scare you -it looks very worn out from the stairway and landing.When you open the door to the apartment, you will be pleasantly surprised! The space is open clean, and well furnished. And the location is about a 3 minute walk from the beach! It is convenient to everything!

Jekyll Realty was responsive and we had a little welcome bag with sponge, paper towels, garbage bag and dish detergent. No dish washer but not a big deal. Master bed mattress was pretty thin but we got used to it. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When I go to Jekyll Island I spend the majority of the time outside either at the beach or bike riding. As long as the rental place is clean and everything works then I am happy. There were four of us on our trip. The unit we rented at Atlantic Breezes had two bedrooms and two baths. The bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious as was the living area. The kitchen is a bit small, but I was fine with that. Everything was clean and in good working condition. I really liked how close the unit is to the beach. You can be at the beach within a three minute walk. I found the cost of the rental to be reasonable. I would stay there again and would recommend the place to anyone.

SO CLOSE TO THE BEACH!

The reason we chose this property was because of its proximity to the beach, which was within walking distance. We appreciate having separate bedrooms (both snorers) and separate bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king-size bed; the other bedroom has two twin beds. Plenty of closet space, dressers and two desks. Love the white wicker furniture! I so appreciated having a washer and dryer in the unit. No dishwasher, but dish soap, a dish towel and sponge were provided. We did not use the pool pass to the Days Inn as the ocean was nearby. Very comfortable apartment- would definitely book again.

Positive Experience, Room for Some Improvement

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had a good experience staying here for our beach trip. I loved how close the apartment was to the beach access and how there was a lawn with big trees to play under. The apartment was clean and roomy. The beds were comfortable, and there were extra blankets if you needed them. I really enjoyed having two bathrooms and a washer and dryer to use, as well. The only complaint I have is with the kitchen. We came expecting to cook all our own meals, but the kitchen was missing some basic tools like a cutting board and chopping knives, as well as hand towels or rags. I would have also really appreciated some cooking oil and basic seasonings like salt and pepper, maybe garlic powder, since it doesn't make sense to purchase those at the grocery store just for a few days.As a side note, there was a small showerhead at the base of the building stairs for rinsing off sand before going into your apartment. It was not working at the time, but it could just have been turned off from the winter season (we went in March).

We’ve been been coming to Jekyll several times a year for the past 15 years. Stayed lots of places on the island. This is our first time staying at Atlantic Breeze #5. We LOVED it! Clean, spacious and perfect location. Close to everything. We are avid tennis players. Best place to stay to get to the courts and to everywhere else on the island. A true hidden gem. We will make this our new favorite place to stay. Can’t wait to come back.
