Location of the holiday home
The house is conveniently located between I 75 and Tamaimami Trail. Approximately 20 minutes to the best golf beaches in Florida, Manasota Beach, Venice Beach, Siesta Key (best beach in the USA 2011) and the famous Warm Mineral Springs (thermal bath) 5 minutes away by car.
Shops and restaurants are nearby.
Most attractions are possible as a day trip (Disney, Everglades, Edison + Ford, Ringling ..) Short drive from the airport about 46 mil. Sarasota, Ft. Myers 56 mil, Tampa 96 mil, Miami about 3 hours.

Great location for a visit to North Port. The home was clean, neighborhood is safe and quiet and the pool was great. Instructions were to keep the house air conditioner between 76-78, which is pretty warm for me traveling from outside of FL. Initial checkout request was to have all laundry through the wash and into the dryer before leaving. I had to leave early for the airport, so the host was understanding that I could get the wash started but not finished before I left. Communication with the host was easy, and they were very helpful!

Everything close and nice property

We really enjoyed our stay and loved the pool. Everything was close by - the restaurants, the springs, and grocery place. Overall it was a great vacation for us. I highly recommend this place.

Enjoyed time at this place. Has everything that family may need. Close to store and beaches. Property owner Mike was very accommodating.

Enjoyable vacation stay

The location is excellent. There’s a lot of privacy in the neighborhood and not far from shops or gulf beaches. Property manager is easy to get a hold of and easy check in/out process. The house was very clean and comfortable as was the pool.

The stay was great!

We didn’t have any issues, the house was located not to far from local shops. The owners were very nice and answered texts quickly. The house was clean and so was the pool.

Perfect getaway with pool

My husband and I had a nice stay at Mikes rental. The property was clean, provided a private environment, perfect for relaxation. The pool was the highlight, offering a private spot to unwind. Additionally the location was great, close to family and short drive to many beaches. Would recommend for anyone seeking a peaceful and convenient getaway. We will definitely return.

Thx for the information, I already bought a new grill. Lawnservice had trouble with mower, that is why I cut it myself while you were there.

Vacation Life

My husband and I wanted to get away a few days over the busy holiday weekend and our stay was perfect. Mike remained in contact from reservation until following checkout. The house was very clean, including the pool, and comfortably furnished. The neighborhood was very quiet and a great place for a walk. We will definitely return!

Trip to the other coast of FL

Great , Clean 3 bdrm , 2 full bathroom , pool home. What a great place to stay . Only 30 mins or so from Siesta Key or Boca Grande even less to Venice pier or Englewood Beach. Everything you could need right in the house. Host was great and got back to us instantly on any questions. Beach Chairs , Umbrella , Grill, Beach Towels, Dish TV, Netflix, etc. do yourself a favor and stay here.

Wonderful month

This was beautiful place. Quiet and well kept. Great for 4 people. Property manager was excellent. Quick to respond ( less than 2 hrs). Friendly and perfect for the job. Would love to book for the winter again But no availability

Relaxing

There are a few things I would like to suggest. 1) do not show the lights in the pool if they dont work 2) there wasnt any sheet pans to bake on. 3) Clean and replace vents and filters 4) i would put an outside light/fan combo by the pool Otherwise we had a great time

Fire alarms and guest bathroom

I let the property manager know there were no batteries in the fire alarms. The battery compartments were all open. Guest bathroom tub was not cleaned.

Wonderful house-but was not the cleanest

The house was in a lovely location and very roomy. Over all we did enjoy our stay -but we did have a couple concerns about the cleanliest. The one bedroom with twin beds in it the sheets were dirty-when we picked up the pillow there was 2 tissues under the pillow and sand in the sheets. This was very disturbing to us and made us question the cleanliness of the house...:( The dishwasher did not use the soap. We ran it on several different options we did contact the owner and he said that he would have it fixed. We had 5 girls there for 3 of the nights and 6 girls for 1 night. We ran out of toilet paper about halfway thru the time-so it would be nice to have more at the house or have it listed that you will start them off with 3 rolls but they are responsible after they use it up. Also there was not much dish soap, laundry detergent. The pool had some white floaties in so we did not feel comfortable to swim in it...almost looked like the inside of a diaper or something. We did let the owner know and he did contact the pool cleaner and they said it was just from a shock treatment completed prior to us coming. If the house was more clean it probably would have been one of my favorite VRBO house that I have stayed in.

This house has like every other house toilet paper as start up, once it is used, guest has to buy their own. It is not a hotel. Dishwasher is fixed. House was clean at time of check in.

STAY AWAY!!! Protect your pocket

Horrible the host was rude hostile and tried to force a good review by withholding our refund because the property was not up to par..pool was covered in black algae the water in the house stopped working we had to use gallons of water to flush toilets.. then he the host Mike put us out of the rental (mind you we rented and paid for a months stay) because he said he was sick of my complaints when all I asked was what could we do to fix the situation because we rented the house for the pool that we couldn’t swim in!!! The host then ended our stay and put us out several weeks before our stay ended FAMILY VACATION RUINED with maybe 24hours notice by Mike the host. We swam the first week in an untreated pool I myself broke out in a rash from head to toe I was told it was because I went to the beach and got into the pool when we hadn’t been to the beach..each time there was a different story about why we couldn’t swim in the pool or had to wait several days after the pool was service... was given a completely different story from the actual person who treated the pool......FIND ANOTHER PLACE don’t waste your time or your money loved the neighborhood and neighbors Mike’s a poor host at best I have pictures for proof and text messages as well...also he would not communicate through Vrbo it was always sms to my personal phone

What a review from a very nasty renter. I always try to do everything for every renter, but this was a nightmare. House and pool were fine before they came and pool is fine after he was gone. House covered in cat liter, no pets allowed. Broken and ripped blinds. Furniture and surfaces covered in slimy lotion or paste. They told me they bought a house and wanted to get out early. Started complaining about everything. Hosts should be careful taking them in the future. Calling me rude is a disappointment. I had to kick them out and glad I did to protect the property. They were not eligible for a refund, but they got it anyway. And than leaving a review like this says everything. Glad I could answer all your questions within minutes and till the day I kicked him out I was the gratest. Well, thanks vrbo for sending people like that. I tried my best and still got a mess. Very dirty and damaged. Also no pets allowed. Cat hair and litter but regarding to guest they did not have a cat. Hosts, beware of them !!!!

North Port, FL Home Not Exactly as Advertised

We rented this home (not a villa) for 2 months (Jan/Feb 2013) ad were really disappointed in a few areas. First, the positive things: it was very clean, photos on the web-site were accurate and portrayed what the house actually looked like. Internet was fabulous; very fast. The appliances were very nice, clean, all worked properly. Description of nearby activities and businesses was accurate. The property manager (Julia) was very nice and as helpful as the owners allow her to be. The house is very small but adequate. The beds were new and very comfortable. The neighbors were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Now, for the negative side of things. There is NO satellite or cable TV! There is an antenna mounted on the living room wall that allows receiving of 2 channels (CBS and NBC) plus two 24 hr news stations and one Spanish speaking station. This would be tolerable if you were staying a few days but for 2 months? We missed the Super Bowl, start of NASCAR, lots of other sports including the Golf Channel. This was really hard to deal with. In the winter the evenings are long and we looked forward to kicking back, relaxing and watching TV after being out doing "touristy" stuff all day. The house was sparsely furnished: no dressers in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms, lighting was at a minimum. Julia brought us an extra lamp for the living room which helped but the bedrooms had tiny little lamps and there is no overhead lighting in the bedrooms or living room. We had to purchase several things to get by such as more towels, wash cloths, can opener, corkscrew, spatula, pitcher and other kitchen necessities. The pots and pans were peeling and there was not a large skillet. A crockpot, blender and mixer would have been nice. We wanted to do a lot more evening cooking but it was difficult. The house is in a neighborhood that isn't fully developed so there are many overgrown lots on the street. One is next door and several in the back so you certainly don't get a resort sort of feeling. All in all it was OK, we had a good time and will rent again next year but not this property.

Perfect location for us! Nice property!

This house worked perfectly for our family! We loved that it was close to family we were visiting as well as restaurants, shopping, and beaches. The house was clean and everything we needed was there…except a pool skimmer! We would stay again! :)
