The Playa Grande Resort is an RCI Gold Crown property, recognizing the resort consistently offering superior vacation experiences based on RCI members comment card ratings and achieving stringent standards set by RCI.

Playa Grande Resort offers eight sun-drenched acres of beachfront paradise just steps from Land's End and the famous natural arch. This charming, Mexican hacienda-style all-suite resort is nestled up to the sparkling Pacific Ocean yet only a few minute walk from bustling downtown Cabo. It is truly the perfect setting to enjoy everything Baja California Sur has to offer.

If shopping, fine dining and nightlife are what you're looking for, the marina and downtown Cabo are just a short stroll away.

This Resort has it all! Additional amenities include a 4,000 square foot Spa, a state of the art Workout Facility furnished with free-weights and cardio equipment, tennis courts, a mini golf course, two Restaurants, a Bar, and a Business Center.

The condo has 1 Bedroom/2 Full Baths - King in the Master, Full-size Pull-out Couch and a Twin-size Murphy Bed in the Living Room, a large well-equipped Kitchen, and Dining area.

The 'RIDGE' is built on top of the cliff rocks above Playa Grande Resort & Spa and access is only granted to those with exclusive membership rights to The 'RIDGE.' The 'RIDGE' offers the only views of the City of Cabo San Lucas, the Marina, the Sea of Cortez, and the Pacific Ocean all from one resort. The beauty of this resort is not only the fantastic amenities, and scenery, but Location, Location, Location...Take the elevator down the mountain and you are only steps away from the beach, the marina, world-class deep sea fishing, top rated golf courses, shopping, restaurants, and plenty of nightlife. There are several outdoor hot tubs and pools to enjoy throughout the entire resort as well as on The 'RIDGE.'

Check in is on either Saturday or Sunday for 1 week rentals.

Cabo visit

Beautiful property, time share sales people were relentless. To be able to pick out the building you want to stay in would add to the experience. If you don't have children you would like rooms on the Ridge. If you have children you probably would prefer a lower unit.

Thank you for your suggestions on preferred locations. The best way I have found to deal with time share sales people any where in the world, is to be just as persistent in saying “no thank you”!

Frustrated

The very most frustrating part of our stay is trying to secure a property that we paid for. We had to move three times during our stay. Very laborious and it disrupts a days stay each time.

PlayaGrande Resort - great 2 week stay on Ridge in one bedroom suite

Resort had beautiful views and delivered as advertised. Staff throughout the resort were very respectful, helpful and friendly. The one bedroom accommodation was very comfortable for 4 adults and had all the conveniences needed. There were many levels to the complex and choices of pools, and restaurants. Anyone staying on the "Ridge" with mobility issues could find getting around a challenge. The resort was well maintained and clean. An issue with the air conditioner was resolved the same day . Although swimming is prohibited on the beach, it was a beautiful area to walk and whale watch. Resort was within walking distance to the marina, restaurants, bars and shops. Time share owner Bob Morrin was very helpful and answered queries by phone and email in a timely manner. He was excellent to deal with offering his assistance before and during our stay if needed.

I am glad you enjoyed the Playa Grande resort. I look forward to providing your accommodation on a future return trip. I will make an adjustment to my listing to make mention of the possible accessibility challenges due to the multiple levels of the Ridge.

Wonderful resort and location

We spent 2 lovely weeks in Bob Morrin's time share at Playa Grande in Cabo San Lucas. The unit in the Ridges, was spacious, well appointed and well kept. We enjoyed our view out over the harbor and city from our veranda. The resort has all the amenities, spa, gym, several pools and hot tubs, restaurants, even a small store. We hiked up Mt. Solmar and enjoyed an all day trip into the mts. to a waterfall and pool to Fox Canyon. The snorkel 2 beaches and kayak trip was also super. You can take a cheap city bus to San Jose del Cabo for $2. It was air conditioned and comfortable and the driver told us where we needed to get out. The staff and concierge was truly helpful in arranging our tours and confirming flights, etc. You also don't have to worry about the water, you can drink it everywhere. We will definitely return to this fabulous place again.

Great resort and an owner with insights to Cabo and the resort!

Playa Grande is a fantastic resort with wonderful staff. It is conveniently located to the Cabo Harbor with many great restaurants within walking distance. The room was well appointed and cleaned daily by the resort staff. Bob was easy to deal with and provided quick replies to my questions. He also provided wonderful insights and suggestions about the Resort, Cabo and area, arriving at the airport and generally enjoying our weeks vacation. When I vacation again in Cabo, I will use Bob's unit and also would recommend it to friends and family. Andrew Miller

In March 2008, we took our first vacation in Cabo San Lucas and fell in love with Playa Grande resort. We enjoyed watching the rays jumping in the mornings in the Pacific Ocean. We loved the breakfast with an ocean view and seeing the whales and their calves.

While this resort is just steps from the downtown and the marina in bustling Cabo San Lucas, it offers a lovely retreat with easy access to a great beach walk beside the Pacific Ocean. The beach access is only for the people staying at the resorts along the beach.
