Welcome to Alpine Chalet, your year-round mountain retreat perfectly suited for families, groups, and even your four-legged friends. Nestled in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood in the heart of Big Bear, this beautiful single-story cabin offers modern comfort with the charm of a classic alpine escape. Walk to the historic Big Bear Village for dining and shopping or step onto the nearby Town Trail for a scenic hike, mountain bike ride, or ski directly to Snow Summit for easy resort access. Freshly renovated with your comfort in mind, Alpine Chalet features vaulted knotty pine ceilings, hardwood floors, and mountain-inspired decor. The open living area offers plenty of natural light, a cozy wood-burning fireplace. The fully stocked kitchen includes stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, and all the cookware needed for home-cooked meals, plus a large log dining table and breakfast bar for gathering together.

The home offers three bedrooms and two updated bathrooms, all made up with fresh linens and towels upon your arrival. Two bedrooms open to a spacious redwood deck with comfortable seating, perfect for sipping morning coffee or unwinding after a day of mountain adventure. A private laundry room adds convenience for longer stays or wet winter gear.

Only four minutes from Pine Knot Marina for lake access, Alpine Chalet places you in the center of Big Bear's best offerings while giving you the peace and privacy of your own log cabin in the woods. Lovely Home in quiet neighborhood

The house was very open and had lots of space for our family. We were supposed to have a second family join us and the house would have accommodated all of us, but the winter storm kept them away. The property management company kept the driveway well plowed and were responsive in both text and phone. Easy check in and check out process.

Wonderful location in a spacious and beautiful home

We truly enjoyed our stay at this home. We stayed here with our parents (70’s-80’s) and our children (8,10). There was plenty of space for everyone. The home has been remodeled with a beautiful kitchen and living space. All the beds were comfortable and the property was well maintained. The back deck was also a nice bonus and helped it feel like we were away from the city and in the wilderness. We loved the proximity to the lake and Big Bear Village. It would be great in the winter as well since it’s close to Snow Summit.

A lovely time

The house was beautiful. Overall a great time. The TV was frustrating to find basic channels in order to watch cable shows. I had to call the property manager to come out and check the TV and he was unable to figure out the set-up there as well. I also would love to have a trash can in each bedroom and bathroom. Would recommend a deeper clean as we all experienced some allergic reaction while in the house. However, the stay overall was awesome and we are looking to re-book the same house for the spring.

Beautiful one story home

This home is clean and even more beautiful in person. Plenty of blankets and towels for our group of six. Location was close to town and with the house near the end of the road it was quiet. Hardly any street traffic and close enough to hike just a few doors up. The house is one story but there are a few steps to get in and out. You could let the smaller kids sled right out your back door. The kitchen was beautiful but not meant for cooking. There are hardly any supplies! The dishes are plastic so cant microwave. No serving bowls or plates so if you cook in a pot or pan you must serve from that pot or pan. Means you can only cook/serve 3 things per meal if you want everything hot at the same time. No oven mitts. We wanted to cook meals but wound up eating out after the first home cooked meal. I would definitely rent again and now i know what else to bring.

Great location. We’d stay again.

Room for everyone. Great location, could walk to the Village. Very quiet. At the end of the road with no traffic or noise. Wish the Christmas decorations had been put away.

Perfect mini getaway!

We rented this place to spend some time with family away from the city and as a little Thanksgiving celebration. It was perfect for our family of 8 with dogs.

Great location & home

We loved the place, the living room & kitchen were large & open concept. The bedrooms were basic but had all we needed. The back deck was great for bbqing & hanging out in the evening. The house is close to everything, we had a great time!
