Please note, Hurricane Ike forever changed the footprint of Bolivar Peninsula, therefore some homes listed as beachfront may have a lot and/or street in front of it. This is the result of the uncertainty following the storm where some property owners elected to participate in the government buy out of lots that fell in what later would be considered within the vegetation line established by the State of Texas and subsequently included as part of the public beach. Not all property owners participated. Those homes where the property in front of it are part of the buyout are considered beachfront even though to the east or west of it there may be a home closer to the beach.

Relaxing and enjoyable

Property was nice. Location was nice. It was a lot of fun to watch the beachgoers come and go. The only problem we had was the front door door handle. It was loose and didn’t wanna lock and the door stay shut. Other than that. It was nice could’ve used the lift, but it was nice.

This beautiful house is spacious, with plenty of room for everyone to relax and enjoy. Everything inside the house is super nice and well-maintained. The recent exterior paint job looks amazing, making the house even more charming.One of our favorite features is the convenient shower below for washing off sandy feet before heading upstairs—such a thoughtful touch! Cobb is great to deal with and the house is in a perfect location and has everything we need. We had zero issues while there although it was the week before the hurricane hit; we left Sunday afternoon and Monday it was a totally different story. The weather the week we were there was great! The beach was busy but not packed. Fantastic house and fantastic company to deal with....win-win!!

This rental happened to be just across the street from our old rental. We booked it and enjoyed the house. It checked off all of our vacation needs and accommodated all of our guest with plenty of room . We will rent again for a yearly vacation trip to Crystal Beach.

It is well furnished, perfect location and sitting on the deck and being almost on the beach is amazing. Yes are comfortable, kitchen is well stocked with most everything needed, washer and dryer make it nice so you don't have to pack so many clothes for a weeks stay.

The house itself is a great floor plan, room sizes are good and the mattresses are the best of any house we've rented to date by far!!!! House needs a bit of maintenance (exterior paint mainly) and a picnic table downstairs would be nice but all in all it definitely is a cabin I'd want to rent again......and look forward to it too! Once again Cobb was easy and professional, always a pleasure to do business with you. The linens and towels were more than adequate as well. I'd definitely give Surf and Sand 5 Stars!!!!!!

Plenty roomy and gorgeous to boot. The kitchen was well stock with dishes, utensils and all sorts of gadgets to fit your needs.I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to enjoy the beach in comfort. All aces in my opinion!!

Plenty of room for all of us, two refrigerators to keep plenty of food, very clean, and the ocean view is amazing! Our first night the stove top went out. Cobb sent a repairmen at 7 pm on Dec 23 and it was fixed within 2 hours of our call! We rented a golf cart for the week and had lots of fun driving up & down the beach! You will love staying at Surf and Sand!!

Weekend Stay

Location of house was great. Unobstructed view of the Gulf. House was very clean and had plenty of cookware, utensils and dishes, everything you need. I would recommend bringing Off spray as the mosquitos were really bad. Would definitely return to Surf and Sand house next time on Bolivar.
