The property has a LARGE grass backyard which is very rare along the beach! The backyard also has a fire pit, BBQ, lifeguard chairs, outdoor shower, outside deck with ocean views and outdoor eating area and Jacuzzi.

Great place for kiddos!

We had a really great time staying at this property. The upstairs is stellar! It really is having 2 separate living areas. 2 couples could most definitely stay here and be totally private from each other. We have teenagers and they really enjoyed themselves. We also have 2 year old twins and a 5 year old with autism, therefore the yard was absolutely perfect. Beach access does require rock climbing however I was able to do it and I am not well coordinated 🤣, otherwise beach access is a very short distance. We had a great time just watching the waves and listening to the sound of the ocean was relaxing. Firepit awesome! And hot tub a plus!! Owner was great and very responsive.

Oceanside Beach Stay

We were disappointed in the property at first, because it only has one bedroom and is a little on the small side. The pictures show what we thought was 2 bedrooms, but after looking again at the description, we did notice it said one bedroom. Also the design of the property is such that after entering through the garage, you have to go up a flight of stairs to the living quarters and to get to the yard area, there was another flight of stairs to go down. As a couple in our 60s with old knees, it was a bit challenging.The yard for the dogs was absolutely wonderful. The wifi and tv worked very good and the place was very clean. The property would be better suited for two people with or without dogs. We did see dolphins on two different days, which was awesome!

Great Location and View

This property has the best location (walking distance to strand and pier) and the ocean views are wonderful. Some of the other reviews talk about climbing down the rocks to the ocean- although it can be done, the water comes right to the rocks. There is no beach even at low tide. We stayed with our 2 kids, ages 6 and 8 and 2 Labradors. The yard is outstanding for both! This unit is technically 2 separate apartments. We all stayed on the top floor, my kids utilized the futons. We felt safer with them on the same level. The units could use some TLC. It’s not a luxury apartment, but suited our needs. Thanks again!

Great Beach Cottage!

The unique two story floor plan is perfect for two couples or two small families! There are functional kitchens in both upper and lower floor. The grass yard was perfect for our dogs! The place, while needing a some new paint, is very clean and functional on the inside. The view of the ocean is stellar!

All about location

View, yard, and location were excellent. Street parking only which is difficult to find (don’t be misled by photo of garage door). Property is very dated with few updates. Lots of other rentals in the immediate area that we would likely stay in during our next visit.

mother/daughter time

I had stayed in this property 3 years ago and found it the perfect place for family and dogs. We love the backyard! Although the house is dated, it is very functional. Basically two separate apts rented as one home. With the exceptional sunsets and ocean waves 24/7, it was a glorious time with my daughter.

Wonderful beach house

Clean comfortable getaway located right on the ocean. Great private fenced backyard with fireplace, hot tub, bbq grill and stunning view to relax and enjoy. Owners are friendly, quick to respond, and great to work with! Our family has stayed here several times and hope to keep coming back because we love it so much! Highly recommend.

Perfect Location

This property was perfect for our little family - me, my husband, and our dog! The amazing backyard is the reason to rent this property. We spent the majority of our time in the backyard. My dog could run and play in a secure, private yard as I sat and watched the waves. The ocean is right beyond the rock wall. We went down to the beach several times during low tide, although it does require some rock scrambling. There are stairs at the public access, one property away, bring your water shoes. The house isn’t anything fancy, but it has all the amenities you need so that you can come relax and enjoy the amazing view. The property manager was extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

Great property, great communication

We had a really great time. Lots of room for everyone. Plenty of beach towels and chairs outside. We had a wonderful fire. Hot tub, grassy fenced area for our small dog. Great communication with owner. Right at the ocean. Wonderful.

Great place, great location

We had such a good time staying at this beach house. We enjoyed sunsets every night while sitting on the rocks next to the ocean. There were tons of towels which worked out great for our 3 kids. Once we gained confidence with the rocks to get down to the ocean, we had a ton of fun swimming, body surfing, and even trying to surf a little. Making our own breakfast, lunch, and dinner most days saved us so much money and time. There is a great convenience store walking distance away and a really great brewpub that is just a little further to walk. It was extremely nice to have a place to stay where we could relax and the kids had a ton of fun. Owners respond right away to any questions and seem to really care that you are enjoying your stay. We will definately be back here.

Incredible property with an even better location!

For a group of friends looking for a place to enjoy a week in paradise, this property did not disappoint. However, this amazing spot nestled between two quiet buildings that provides protection from wind and privacy from others, can accommodate families or couples. Emily was a great host who made sure everything was provided and communicated in advance. Plenty of linens and towels were provided and there were games and amenities a plenty. I highly recommend staying at this location as everything needed is either at the property or a close drive to the stores around Oceanside. Thanks again for everything!

Just what we needed- R&R at it's best

My Wife and I stayed 3 nights and loved it! The location is excellent and Emily was great to work with. Being so close to the Beach and seeing/hearing the waves crash from the property was just simply the best!!! The Spa/living areas were nice and clean. Hope to be back soon! Dave and Lannette

Simply Wonderful

What a great, needed vacation to this Oceanside beach front home. Wife and I spent 8 nights. Check in was a breeze. The owners were very easy to contact and helpful if you had any questions. Leaving the 110 degree weather in Arizona - the beach weather was fantastic to say the least. As everyone else has stated, the house could use some TLC as it is a little run down. The new deck really needs paint or some sort of protection or it will get worn quickly. Our stay was exactly what the doctor ordered. The fenced yard was a big plus as we travel with our golden and she needed a place to run. The spa is not really Private as some of the panels were missing but that was still ok. The unit was very comfortable. The beds were comfortable. The view from the upper deck was filled with dolphins as we spent our mornings drinking coffee. While both levels have kitchens, we seemed to use the lower level the most. All the utensils were available if we needed them. All in all a great place. Only draw backs were that the house was really not very clean when we arrived and the overall price (once taxes/fees were added) was closer to $470 a night - so plan accordingly. We will be back!!!!!!!

Totally relaxing, wonderful vacation!

We have been renting beach vacation homes for over ten years and all this time, never found quite the perfect fit. Until now. This is it! The location and grass yard sold me when I viewed it on line. But until we saw it in person did not really know how much we would love our stay. Everything was very clean and neat. I wish there was more sand on the beach in front but by paying attention to tide schedules, we were able to enjoy the sand for a while each day. We always travel with our dogs and this property is perfect for them as well. Our grandchildren can to visit and the yard is perfect and safe. Emily and Lisa are very thoughtful and helpful in every way. Two small things I would suggest. There needs to be a coffee pot in both kitchens as well as at least four coffee cups in each kitchen (Only 4 now in bottom kitchen and none upstairs). These are very minor things and we made do. Overall, the property is well maintained considering the age.

Relaxing Beachfront stay in classic original bungalow.

Have stayed here several times over the years. Owners have added a very nice deck. Some new outside furniture and lighting is also a nice touch. Enjoyed the Lifeguard chairs as always although there is only a small beach at low tide, water access is still manageable. Firepit is great as is outdoor spa. Although the units are older buildings from a bygone era, the yard is great for entertaining and for families. The owners are very nice people and responsive to any needs. Thank you for a relaxing carefree vacation.

We had a fantastic week!

My family truly enjoyed staying beach front. Having the private yard and hot tub was a treat. It's difficult to find an affordable beach front house with a private yard and jacuzzi. The inside could use updates but it's to be expected with the salt air. I would definitely stay again.

Great weekend with the family

I absolutely love this little house. We had 4 adults and 4 kids 3 ood which were teenagers. They sleeping arangmemnts were just fine for us. The back yard is the reason you rent this house. The hot tub area and two dinning tables outside where great. The two small decks were perfect for watching the ocean. The grassy area was great for a weekend of bicci ball and corn hole. The fire pit was perfect. This was an amazing weekend for us beciase we never left the house we grilled played games and enjoyed the ocean. The waves go right up to the break water so there isn't really a beach. I can't wait to book this lhoise again with a few couples and have a great time. The oweners were fantastic they communicated well and everything was as expected

Perfect beach vacation house for two couples.

Everything about this house is wonderful. The new deck really makes the place and the hot tub is better than you can imagine. It's not a fancy house, but it is very well appointed and the privacy and space of the backyard makes it truly special.

Great location and beach cottage

The beach cottage was great for a weekend getaway. The location was perfect and the house had everything we needed. The kids loved to run in the back yard and the jacuzzi was fun. Owners were extremely helpful and responsive. Overall, I would recommend the house and def stay there again.

The large backyard allows you to enjoy the California weather while viewing the calming ocean waves. Oceanside provides you being on some of the best beaches while being in a location that is less than 1 hour from most L.A. and San Diego attractions.

This property is perfect for 2 couples/ 2 families or parents up-stairs and kids downstairs! As the place is actually set up as two different functional spaces with separate kitchens and bathrooms. Upstairs has a small balcony that overlooks the ocean. While the downstairs has sliding doors so you can get the ocean breeze. Both share the large secluded grass backyard with jacuzzi and outdoor shower!
