Beautiful Leverick Bay Home! Tamarind Villa

Tamarind Villa has it all if you are planning a group trip to the British Virgin Islands.

The Villa is a 4 bedroom compound with a pool overlooking the beautiful harbor of North Sound that can accommodate up to 10 guests.

When entering the villa the first thing you think is the pictures just can't do justice to the views. Prickly Pear, Saba Rock, Bitter End, and Sir Richard Branson's Moskito Island from different sides of the villa. The house main deck is front and center to the entrance to North Sound Harbor.

In addition to the spacious house, there is another 3,000 square feet of decks & covered patios, that border all sides of the villa facing the water. Perfect for outdoor dining or just watching the parade of yachts entering and departing North Sound.

The fresh water pool features a Large deck with a covered area overlooking Mosquito Island. There are teak lounge chairs, and a 5 piece sectional in the shade areas to relax and unwind.

The spacious Great Room includes living, dining, kitchen and bar all under a natural beamed cathedral ceiling. The renovation included all new furniture for the Great Room. The new wet bar has an ice maker, wine frig and 70" TV.

The Kitchen is defined by a island formed of local stone with granite countertops. It includes a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and all the dishes and utensils necessary to prepare the finest dinner and cocktail parties while enjoying views of the pool and the Sound.

There in now a large laundry room in the main villa with new cabinets and new washer & dryer for our guests.

The Master Bedroom - (king bed with ensuite bath) overlooks North Sound from a private patio with a walk-in closet and dual armoires.

Guest room 1 - (Queen Bed with hall bathroom) Also features its own private patio with views of North Sound, dresser, closet and couch.

Guest room 2 & 3 are across from the pool - (both are king beds each with ensuite bath) These rooms offer more privacy away from the main house.

All linens are supplied. Ceiling fans in every room. A/C's are available in the bedrooms. The Villa has smart TV, DVD, and Stereo Soundbar (w/ iPod hookup) and WIFi..

This beautifully furnished villa is a short walk from the beach, restaurants, dive shop, boat rentals, boutiques, spa and grocery at nearby Leverick Bay Resort. Also walking distance to Bradley Powerboats, the best power boat rental in the BVI, located at the Leverick Bay docks. There are also SUP's , Hobie Cats and Kayak rentals at Blue Crush Water Sports on the beach at Leverick Bay .

The hospitality received from Theresa & Jim was above and beyond. The house was clean and well-stocked with homey comforts, with plenty of room for our family. Location was excellent, a 10-minute walk to Leverick Bay or a few minutes' drive to the ferry.

The house worked perfectly for our vacation. Everyone had plenty of room and privacy. The location is out of town but worth the trip. The resort is great for dinner, the spa, grocery items and entertainment.

The hosts were wonderful to work with. The house was spotless. The views were amazing. I wish it were a little more peaceful- there was a lot of construction noise from nearby properties. But we still had a great time and enjoyed our stay.

So glad I chose this Villa. Tamarind stocked everything you could want for activities, cooking and especially lounging around. fabulous views from the balconies and pool deck. Jim and Theresa were there endlessly with advice and helped us stay in front of the changing travel requirements. Great base for excursions. Recommend a car. Super value for the size of this villa. Wonderful stay at Tamarind Villa

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Virgin Gorda at Tamarind Villa. The villa had everything we could ask for, it is spacious, comfortable, clean, has great views, large wraparound porch, and pool and snorkeling equipment if needed. We liked the location above Leverick Bay which provided great views and access to the marina, a good restaurant and some nightlife. Our young teenagers made use of the extensive dvd collection in the evening. We rented a car for the week which was necessary to move around the island to enjoy the beaches and the views, particularly Spring Bay Beach and the views from Hog Heaven...just spectacular! The water and snorkeling were magnificent! We definitely plan on going back! Theresa and Jim are great, very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great stay!

Very spacious, functional, and a great location.

Plenty of bedrooms and en-suite baths for over 10 people in this well designed, lovely, clean and very functional Villa. A nice pool and great water views to the west and north. A 5 minutes walk to lovely Leverick Bay and resort. We instantly felt at home and could relax. The kitchen is fully functional, the outdoor large balconies are great for relaxing and boat watching. Having two master suites in the pool house across from the main house are prefect for couples, young adults, or families with a young child that can stay in the same room in the additional day bed. Truly numerous configurations for family of any size to have perfect accommodations. The lovely hosts communicated very well months prior to our trip, helped with travel arrangements, restaurant reservations and other activities. Highly recommended.

Delightful in every respect!

We were truly amazed at the beautiful setting, and with the relaxed but well-appointed accommodations. The Villa had everything we needed, including gorgeous views, a well-supplied kitchen, and easy access to the PADI Dive Center down the hill. This was particularly useful, since one of our party needed to complete her open water dives for her scuba certification; diving and snorkeling were a big part of our stay on the island, and we were not disappointed! For snorkeling, Long Bay was the best, followed closely by The Baths and Fallen Jerusalem. Be assured, you will need to rent a vehicle, and you will use it everyday to shuttle to various beaches, snorkeling sites, and several of the small grocery stores; we were confounded a bit by the need to stop at several stores in order to accomplish a complete grocery shopping, but this was not a significant hardship. We have stayed in several VRBO rentals in the western hemisphere over the past years, and Tamarind Villa was hands-down the most beautiful, comfortable, and convenient. All that, and a great value to boot!

Amazing Trip to Virgin Gorda

We had such a great trio. The villa could not have been more perfect. It was spacious, relaxing and a perfect location. The extra room suites had privacy and the views from the porch were amazing. Highly recommend it for any size group. Theresa was a great host. All of her recommendations were spot on. Grab a week or two!

Awesome vacation

We had a fabulous time at this Villa. The owner met us at the ferry terminal, she was very helpful in getting us to the store and checked into the villa. Everything was perfect the villa is clean and well kept, we love the spacious rooms and the view. One thing we wished we had was a washer/dryer it rained a few days and our beach towel did not have time to dry. Overall it was a lovely place to stay we will return and tell others about this spacious villa. Thank you Theresa and Jim for allowing us to share your home. Alicerene and Family

A little slice of heaven

Great location, awesome wrap around deck and pool, fully equipped with everything you will need for your vacation, amazing value. Never had to turn AC on because the amazing trade winds kept us cool and comfortable. You must stay here!!

wonderful home

our stay at tamarind villa was absolutely wonderful. when we arrived, tiina was at the airport to greet us and take us by the store to get supplies. she then took us on to the house and gave us the tour. she was not intrusive at all which we greatly appreciated and she answered the phone immediately and gave great advice when we called her. we have traveled to many islands over the last 15 years and this is the only house that we have stayed in that truly was cooled by the trade winds! I am an A/C gal, and I never once turned it on at tamarind villa. those who know me, know that is saying a lot. my sister and I truly mourned the loss of the feel and sound of that glorious breeze blowing through our rooms at night! the house was also one of the most well stocked houses we have stayed in during our travels. the owners have taken great care to make sure you have what you need for beach time, pool time, and so on. the views of leverick bay from the house are just beautiful and we enjoyed watching the sail boats and yachts come in and out of the bay each morning and evening. it was also so fun that we could hear and enjoy the music and fun going on down at jumbies some nights. we went down to jumbies one evening and it happened that the travel channel was there filming a show about Michael beans the singing pirate. what unexpected fun for us!! we also loved watching the beautiful hummingbirds, bananaquits and the pearly-eyed thrashers that stayed around the house and pool. we were amazed when we put out sugar water as suggested by the owners. the bananaquits just flocked to it. so fun to watch and to video! this was our second visit to beautiful virgin gorda and I don't know if we will get back there again as we have so much more to see and explore, but if we were to go back...we would definitely stay at tamarind villa. thank you so much for the use of your wonderful home! don, tammy and dee

We'll be back

What can I say, our stay here was perfect. Theresa met us at the ferry and showed us to the house. The house is well appointed and stocked with everything one would need for an island vacation. The views are fantastic, the pool was refreshing, and the trade winds made it never necessary to use the AC. I was worried at first about staying on the North Sound, but the island being so small, the drive is part of the overall charm. Being right above Leverick Bay was also a great resource. A store with a great selection of food and drink choices, 2 restaurants, outdoor bar, and a free water taxi to Saba Rock.

Tamarind Villa review

This villa was the nicest place that we ever stayed! The view was spectacular from almost any room in the house. The wrap around patio was awesome. The pictures on the website do not do this place justice. It was well stocked and everything was in great working order. It was very nicely decorated. The owners were very responsive to our inquiries. Tiina, the property manager, was extremely helpful to us upon arrival. I would recommend this villa to everyone.

Incredible Views, Amenities and Spacious Living Area!

Our group of four friends spent five wonderful days staying at Tamarind Villa, enjoying the view over Leverick Bay each morning, sunning by the pool in the afternoons and sitting in the spacious living room during evenings after dinner. There was plenty of room for all of us and its a great house to enjoy; whether you plan to spend a lot of time inside the house, or exploring the island, it's a wonderful place to stay. In addition, it is very conveniently located near Leverick Bay, which features a grocery store and two amazing restaurants which feature dancing and entertainment during the season.

A pretty good stay at Tamirand Villa.

For the most part our stay at Tamirand Villa was good. The view is excellent, the house is well stocked, and clean. Some things, like the sofa and deck chairs are in need of attention, but for the price, it is good. A couple of things to be aware of though...the live in caretaker is the owner of the house. I got the impression that they stay there for the winter months. One day one of the owners came up to the upper floor to water some plants. She had called first but we had not answered the phone. She made a comment about my mother-in-laws choice of breakfast foods, and while this is not a huge deal, our feeling of privacy was blown. When you are at the pool, you will see them coming in and out of the driveway. This is something you should know before you rent the house. My other issue with the house is the road noise. The side of the house that the two main bedrooms face is close to the road, which is quite steep. Every morning (and I mean EVERY morning) at about 6am there are trucks going by. We figured it must be some kind of delivery truck going to the Leverick Bay Resort, and because of the steep road they are in low gear and make alot of noise. I am not a light sleeper, but this woke all four of us up every single morning. Again, overall, the house is good. We loved the pool, the house is comfortable, and we had a good time.

Really can't add much to the other glowing reviews except to say that we have found a "new home" on Virgin Gorda in Tamarind Villa. Absolutely incredible stay this June and we've already booked for next year. Every attention to detail by Jim & Theresa. Can't wait for 2014.

Comforts of home in paradise

My husband and I loved our stay at this beautiful villa. The house has this wonderful island feel with its incredible indoor/outdoor spaces, gorgeous grounds, and cool breezes. But is is also smartly appointed. You could easily host a dinner party, there are games, books, and snorkeling equipment. There is also a spotting scope for checking out the boats in Leverick Bay. The owners have thought of everything for your comfort including ipod ready stereo equipment at the pool and in the house, a flat screen TV in the great room, a small fridge at the pool for beverages and a washer and dryer. I wish my house was this well thought out! And of course there are the views...stunning, rejuvenating. We will definitely be back!

Tarmarind Villa is a perfect place to stay on Virgin Gorda!

Tamarind Villa was just a fabulous place to visit - one the nicest villas we have ever gone to. First, it's cozily located on a ridge on the very north end of Virgin Gorda with beautiful views both east and west. It's really away from it all! Just down the hill is the Leverick Bay resort with access to beaches, boats and bars. If you have half a day you can walk to the trail head and up Gorda Peak right from the Villa (all 1370 feet)! There is great snorkeling all around Leverick Bay, plus a dive operation right there. While we hung out at the villa a bit, we also went boating from the resort, had a great day at the Baths and visited several fun restaurants (especially Hog Heaven - worth finding)! The villa itself is well appointed both inside and out with lots of different areas to hang out - chairs by the pool, wrap around decks, really comfy furniture and a very well provided kitchen and bar area. Can't really say more than the description above which very accurately describes everything about the villa - read it again carefully. It is so nice right "at home", that next time we want to spend more time just hanging on the patio by the pool! The least expensive way to get Leverick Bay is flying via Miami to St Thomas. If you arrive before 2 PM on a Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday, you can catch Speedy's non-stop ferry from St Thomas to Virgin Gorda. Or, you can take the Fast Ferry to Tortolla (from St Thomas to Road Town) then Speedy's from there, any day of the week. There is currently even a sea plane flight from San Juan (the sea airport near the international one) directly to Leverick Bay that is not too expensive! Finally there is a ferry from Beef Island to Leverick Bay if you fly to the BVI. Of course once on Virgin Gorda you should probably get a car to travel around the island (for visiting the Baths or Spanish Town). But you really could get by with just a cab ride from the main ferry terminal (again, Speedy's has cab service) and get almost anywhere else by walking down the hill to Leverick Bay. I spent 6 days at Tamarind Villa in December and can't wait to go back. I arrived on a rainy & windy day, and it was great to have such a beautiful view across North Sound. The house was well stocked--from snorkeling gear and ample cooking equipment in the kitchen to extra towels for the pool, Jim and Theresa really have made this a comfortable home away from home. Put me down for another week, STAT!

It is home to Billionaires like Richard Branson (Necker & Mosquito Islands) and Larry Page (Eustatia Island), and many many Yachts of all sizes. You are walking distance to the Leverick Bay Resort which has restaurants, bars and a grocery store that is open 7am - 7pm every day.
