This majestic oceanfront home sits on an oversized 75-foot-wide lot on the desirable West side of the island, offering expansive views and unbeatable access to beachside fun. Barrel style half circle entry stairs as well as decks, porches, & patio surround this beautiful home. Every room opens to a deck or porch. Opening the front door to enter you will be overwhelmed by the amazing ocean view and subtle elegance of this luxurious home. Open floor plan wrapped with windows. Spacious open living area with fireplace. A chef's dream kitchen; double ovens, surface units, elegant soapstone surface and ocean front dining. Master suite on first floor overlooking the ocean with a King bed. A second master on the top floor with a King bed as well. Additional oceanfront bedroom on the second floor with a Queen bed. Elegant, enormous spa type baths with luscious marble & other stones. Ground level totally enclosed w/beautiful louvered arches. Meticulous landscaping surrounds the pool which also has full shade on one side and includes an outdoor shower. Lighted pier with gazebo to the ocean.
We recommend travel insurance as we do not refund cancelled reservations.

Commercial pool cleaning-tested and cleaned twice weekly from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Cleaned twice a week otherwise.

Multigenerational Family Vacation

This home is the epitome of luxury. The listing doesn’t do it justice. My husband and I travel a fair amount, and this was by FAR the most well-equipped VRBO we’ve ever stayed in. The home came fully stocked with all the equipment, appliances, smallwares, linens, etc. we needed. There were multiple coffee pots, toasters, plenty of pots/pans in varying sizes (we cooked as a family all but 1 of the nights). The 3 refrigerators allowed for plenty of room for all our needs and the additional ice maker meant we had all the ice we needed and more (including what we needed for filling coolers for the beach). The bed rooms were incredibly spacious, plenty of closet space, drawers/dressers for unpacking and remaining organized throughout the week. The beach access is perfect - very convenient, even for my aging parents. They were both also able to enjoy the gazebo connected to the walkway - they could see the kids playing in the ocean from the shade! The ocean was a wonderful size and a reprieve when the kids/teens wanted a break from the ocean. Plenty of chairs and shade, as well as a grill (we used this one night). You CANNOT go wrong with this location. The elevator made unloading/loading up as well as grocery trips super easy with young kiddos and older parents.

We've stayed at several beach houses and this was, by far, our favorite. The house and grounds are amazing. There was more than enough room for our family of 12. Plenty of ourdoor seating everywhere and it was all in great condition. The pool is nice and large and the grill worked great. This is the first time that our expectations were exceeded. We had a fantastic week and would definitely stay again!

Great family vacation

Clean, spacious, and well-stocked property. Great access to the beach. Owners were readily available and responsive to questions. Would definitely stay here again.

This house has it all! The location is fantastic and every detail had been thought of. The kitchen is well stocked and paper products are even provided! We look forward to staying here again next year!

Great beach trip 😎

Beautiful home beach front, cute little town, nice view and lovely accomodations. We would rent again. The weather was not very good for the beach or pool the week we went which limited us while there, and the main tv was not a smart tv so it was difficult the watch much with our streaming, but we did puzzles and still had a great relaxing week together! (hot tub would have been a nice feature when cold/rainy). We ended up driving into Myrtle for activities a bit. Note, you have to figure out where sheets go (and there are several sizes of beds) and make all the beds... Not a huge deal, bit when you are arriving exhausted from travel it's not fun. The service said you can pay extra to have them made which I wish we would have known as we would have done that for sure. Thanks for great communication and a lovely stay!

Beautiful Airy Common Room With Great Views

This is a beautiful home - airy, spacious and very clean and well equipped. We were travelling in the winter and wanted to make sure that we had a nice house in case we had to spend a lot of time indoors. As it turns out, the weather was great and warm so we were outside a lot. But the inside of this home is beautiful and spacious with beautiful views of the ocean. It has a very beautiful gazebo on the walk to the beach where we watched sunsets each night -- the beach is South facing so you can see both sunrises and sunsets.

Gorgeous house, SO much room, couldn’t have been closer to the beach, and the owners were incredibly friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. Our stay couldn’t have been better!

Great house, amazing views and easy beach access

My sisters and our families spent a week at this house which was the nicest in the area. There were plenty of rooms and bathrooms with a great open downstairs layout where everyone could be together. The pool is so nice (and heated!) and the beach so easily accessible. Not a long winding pathway like so many other houses and there is a nice walkway to and from, that very few other houses in the area seem to have— key when lugging small children and all of your stuff to and from the beach. Would love to return next year!

Burkhart Family Beach Trip

My family had a fantastic time! The house was perfect, very spacious for large families. Everyone had plenty of room. The deck and chairs were fantastic. You are very close to the beach. I would recommend this house for any family vacations. Ken B.

Perfect vacation

This was our second time staying here and it couldn’t have been better! We arrived to a fresh, spotless house with everything in order. The house is so accommodating for our family of 12 ranging from age 1 to 93. The owners were fantastic to work with, treated us like family. The kitchen is very generously equipped and there was a full weeks supply of paper products and cleaning products that was a bonus! Just can’t say enough about how perfect this house is for us. We hope to be back again and again.

Our recent vacation was perfect. The house was everything we wanted and more. The kids never once said they were bored. The pool was large, the beach was close and the house was amazing. This was one vacation no one will forget!

Chair-a-dise - It was Paradise with numerous high sitting composite deck chairs ="Chair-a-dise"

We had a very positive experience. 89 West 1st Street was the perfect place for our family reunion. All of our kids and Grandkids enjoyed spacious living area, comfy and ample beds, plenty of space to enjoy meals all together and room to play numerous games. The pool was large enough for everyone to swim and the under deck allowed shade after a day at the beach. The covered Gazebo on the boardwalk to the beach was amazing - we all enjoyed our morning coffee, our afternoon breaks and our after dinner time while watching the sun set from the Gazebo. Since it was July 4th week, we had the perfect view of the OIB fireworks from our Char-a-dise seats !!! We were also there to view a pretty close to full moon from our private deck. The kitchen was well appointed and the entire house was very clean and had plenty of parking. The short walk directly to the ocean on our private boardwalk was, of course, THE highlight :) Five star vacation !!!!
