Step outside onto the ample decking and experience true outdoor living at its finest. The oceanfront deck. lined with rocking chairs, overlooks our heated oceanfront pool. The pool is perfect for sunbathing and lounging, complete with a tanning ledge and plenty of pool and porch furniture. The boardwalk is thoughtfully configured for easy beach access without crossing through the pool area, making it ideal for families with little ones.

Enjoy a relaxing start to your vacation week. You'll find a welcome set of starter amenities, including one roll of paper towels, trash bags, laundry and dishwasher pods, dish soap, and a sponge. All bathrooms include one roll of toilet paper. For weekly rentals, your beds are made with fresh linens so you can jump right into making memories rather than making beds! Please note that while top bunks will not be made, we will provide fresh linens for them.

For weekly rentals, we also provide bath towel sets (one bath towel, one hand towel, and one washcloth) per guest for your convenience. Beach and pool towels are not included.

Additional amenities include seven TVs, a DVD player, CD stereo system, and book library.

With two covered porches, an enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water, plentiful rockers, and a large charcoal grill, our property is perfect for outdoor living and entertaining. The upstairs oceanfront queen bedroom (BR 4) and the upstairs streetside twin bedroom (BR 5) must access a bathroom by passing through another bedroom. Because of this layout, most guests choose to place children in those two rooms.

Exciting Updates For 2022 !!

For the 2022 rental season, we have a brand new pool with decking on the Oceanfront side of our home. Many of you have asked for this amenity, and we started this process over 1 year ago. We will have heating capability for the early spring and later fall rentals. For the 2022 rental season, we have a brand new pool with decking on the Oceanfront side of our home. Many of you have asked for this amenity, and we started this process over 1 year ago.

This private oceanside pool will be open April through October. If you choose to purchase pool heat, we will turn on the heater to 85 degrees 24 hours prior to your arrival, with the understanding that outdoor weather conditions greatly affect pool water temperature. Pool heaters cannot operate if the temperature outside is under 50 degrees.

CANCELLATIONS AND TRANSFERS: In the event there is a cancellation or a transfer of a confirmed rental for any reason, we must be notified by the leaseholder, in writing. We will make every reasonable effort to re-rent the cancelled property. If the cancelled property is re-rented for the original lease amount, tenant will receive a refund of the payment made less $500, reservation fee, applicable taxes, elected fees and the trip insurance premium. Refunds will be made within 60 days after receipt of the first paid deposit due on new reservations, on same property, same rental period, and same rental rate. Owner has no control over the VRBO traveler service fee. For refunds of that fee, the guest must contact VRBO. Please see Trip Insurance Protection available.

SURVEILLANCE: There are surveillance cameras located on the exterior of the property. There are no cameras located inside the cottage. The surveillance cameras overlook the parking areas, exterior entry door and pool, and are installed primarily for deterrence and monitoring purposes when the property is not rented or is not occupied by the property owner. Tampering with the cameras in any way is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal of all guests from the property and forfeiture of all amounts paid.

ABOUT HOLDEN BEACH:

Welcome to Holden Beach, North Carolina, where family values and old fashioned fun are still a part of your vacation. Holden Beach has a very small commercial area on the island. That point is considered by many to be a key reason to keep them coming back year after year. While there are limited commercial establishments on the island, everything one could desire is located within a short driving distance.

The causeway leading to the island contains numerous specialty stores and shops, and the Town of Shallotte just 10 minutes away has several chain grocery and department stores that provide all the necessities. Wilmington and Myrtle Beach are only 35-45 minutes away and if you can't find what you're looking for there, it doesn't exist.

There are over 125 superb golf courses within a one-hour drive from Holden Beach. Courses range from very challenging to user-friendly for golfers who don't always hit the ball where they want it to go. The Myrtle Beach area is perhaps the best region in the United States to find a course just right. Seasonal rates vary.

Boating, fishing and hiking the island are very popular activities. Shell hunters can find so many that the kids will fill up the car when they return home. The island is a sea turtle habitat and hi during the hatching season (May to October) those who don't mind staying up late at night can witness one of nature's most interesting pleasures – watching hundreds of small sea turtles "boil' out of the sand and marching to the ocean.

There is no other North Carolina barrier island like Holden Beach. If you're looking for low commercial impact and a wholesome family-oriented atmosphere, you have come to the right place.
