Thanks Mike, excited to hear that you had such a wonderful time staying with us! Appreciate the feedback. With the stairs and log beams, this is a 1940s renovated prior workshop. So while it's been completely remodeled, structural heights for beams for very tall individuals like yourself and stairs are locked in. Those features are a major part of the charm though of this cottage, so that is one tradeoff to very tall guests. The other tradeoff you noted to our great location in town and by the beach, is that we are located off a main road. Which is busier during summer through peak fall travel, with how popular TC has become. With our 8ft privacy fence and trees along the road, we've aimed to create a nature in the city setting, that you can't find anywhere else in the city, by the beach. We do have all that info in the listing, so hope that you weren't surprised by it. Happy it didn't stop you from having a wonderful time. And thanks for leaving the place so clean, much appreciated. Enjoyed hosting you and hope to have you back to one of our other neighboring cottages, which don't have any beams for very tall guests like yourself to navigate :)
