The house was mostly clean but could use some work like 90% of all rentals at the beach, at least all the ones we have stayed in over the last 10 years. We had some AC issues but the maintenance company was great and had people out there fast and got things resolved for us. Overall a good stay.

Thank you for your candor and your review. We never want to be like "90% of all rentals at the beach" as it relates to a lesser-than experience in our property. We regret you were not completely satisfied with your stay. We appreciate you recognizing the cleanliness and quick response on the HVAC issue that happened, and we hope you come back soon for a better experience.

Property was great other than the trashcans get rolled to the street for collection were full when we checked in. Also the grass was pretty tall.

Thank you for your feedback and we apologize for the trash situation. You arrived on trash pick up day and the cans were not put out in a timely manner. We have also addressed the grass being high. We hope you come back again for a better first impression.

Great location, open floorplan for a group

We had a great time in this house for a family vacation. Nice open floorplan and 2 ovens in the kitchen. Great location - close to beach access and restaurants. My only complaint is there are multiple balconies, but no place for our group to sit after the kids went to bed. There were 2 seats on each level.

FAMILY TRIP 2023

We had a great time and loved the area. The family made many wonderful memories from riding bikes, wild horse tour, climbing light houses. The house was nice but needs a deep cleaning. The yard had not been mowed and it was an issue around the pool because the grass was tall and ant hills. The red ants bit and they got into your bags if set down. We totally enjoyed the house and pool but strongly recommend that they take as much pride on the outside as they do on the inside. We swept the area under the stairs because it was really dirty.

The inside of our properties do have a deep cleaning done annually and we regret that your stay in July didn't reflect that.

Plenty of space.

The house was very large and easily accommodated our group (3 couples and two singles). Each room had its own bathroom which made things very easy. A couple blocks to the beach; not a bad walk but just enough of a distance of tire carrying several typical beach things. But there is a public access with parking (if you can get a spot) or drop off for people and things. The house had typical cosmetic issues due to high usage but overall very clean and ready for us when we arrived. Would definitely stay again.

OBX Vacay

The house was nice for our families. There was a lot of room for everyone. We loved that we could fit everyone at one table for "family" dinners. The house was equipped with most of the cooking utensils we needed and the hot tub was great!

Beautiful but worn

Its a beautiful place that was large enough for our family. The house is need of some updating. As said in previous reviews the tiles in the kitchen are broken. A whole new kitchen floor needs to be put in and it could use some updated appliances.. The bathrooms need some new faucets. The pool has tiles falling off the inside of the pool. The deck needs to be replaced, the boards are soft and you feel like you are going to fall threw. The place has great potential but needs some attention. For the amount of money you spend to rent it they need to put some money into the house.

Nice house but cracked floor a big issue.

You might find a house like this in the Italian country vs Kill Devil Hills. Almost over the top decor with beautiful amenities (master bath great but there was no outside shower? Good grief!!) Also the fancy marble stone floor in kitchen and family room was broken/ cracked in several places many in direct walk thru kitchen, dining area and family room. DO NOT rent this house if you have little children. Accidents waiting to happen w cut feet on the broken floor. We had all adults but it was ridiculous that almost every day one of us would find another broken piece of stone/marble. Pool and hot tub were very nice. Probably 12-15 min walk to beach access lot so we packed up car every day. You wouldn’t want to walk w kids or having to carry much. Wouldn’t stay here again.

OBX Family Vacation

Overall experience was ok. We had to call about the pool pump, but serviceman came within an hour to fix it. Floor tile in dining area is loose an my grandchildren constantly fell on it.

Not like the pictures.

I will agree the necessary items worked, and it was clean. The whole property is in disrepair. From broken and loose marble throughout, broken and cracked windows and mirrors, loose and scary decking boards, and many, many more. This property looks neglected and damaged. The pictures must be from when it was first built. A beautiful house that is definitely not gotten any attention in years. Very sad and disapointed for the amount of money. Will not be back.

Hi Sharon, The photos were taken on July 10, 2019, so right at a year old. They’re extremely accurate to the current state of the property. I can agree that the property could use a little more TLC, but nothing has been misrepresented. You did report the deck the morning your checked out, which has been resolved. We are going to send someone out to double check on the windows and mirrors you mentioned. You didn’t report this during your stay, but we want to make sure damage has not occurred, but so the two families who have stayed there after you have not reported anything of the kind. Regardless, thanks for the heads up and we’ll check it out.

House was big and clean with enough space for all my family. We all loved the pool and jacuzzi. I recommend this house 100%
