Nestled in a charming private community and just a short stroll to both the beach and town center, Windhaven Cottage is ideally located in the beautiful seaside village of Ogunquit, Maine.

Once you arrive, park your car and leave your worries (and car keys) behind! The home’s location means there is no need to fight traffic or look for parking during your stay. Walk to the shops and restaurants in the town center in 7 minutes, or walk to the beautiful beach in only 10 minutes. You can also travel around town on the Ogunquit trolley, with a stop conveniently located just outside the entrance of the home’s private community.

Situated at the end of a quaint street and backing up to a wooded landscape, Windhaven Cottage offers a private retreat for you and your guests. With hardwood floors and well-appointed furnishings, you will feel right at home the moment you step inside. This property has 5 bedrooms (+ den with sofa bed) and 4 full bathrooms. With more than 3,000 square feet of living space, up to 12 guests can spread out comfortably. The fully stocked chef's kitchen includes a large island with stools for gathering, and the living room is the perfect place to relax with its serene wooded views. There is also a separate dining room, den, and a 2nd living room on the lower level with large sectional sofa and big screen TV.

Amenities include free Wi-Fi, cable TV with Netflix access, a movie library, games, children’s toys, and books to enjoy while relaxing inside the home. Outside you will find a patio and yard area with lounge chairs, dining table, and a Weber gas grill. The home also includes a beach cart, beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler, and toys (boogie boards, etc.) for your trips to the beach. You will not find a more perfectly located and appointed home for a relaxing and enjoyable beach vacation.

Please note that pillows and quilts/comforters/blankets are provided, but bed sheets and bath towels are not included. Coordinate with Cottage Linens (a local company) to supply and deliver for a small fee or choose to bring your own.

We had another wonderful week at this property. The house is just perfect for our family. Great for kids and plenty of room for big family dinners with a fully equipped kitchen. What a great location for walks into town and the beach. Looking forward to next year!

The house was immaculate Anything you would need as far as kitchen ware beach accessories toys for kids Tv etc The walk to the beach for adults is fine 20 minute walk but a little cumbersome for the kids with beach equipment Very quiet street with ample parking for up to 3 cars

We enjoyed the house thoroughly. We loved the spacious rooms, especially the kitchen and dining room. The central air was wonderful. It was also easy to leave our beach stuff in the garage for the next day. I would definitely recommend staying at this property.

Truly a beautiful home with plenty of room for the twelve of us on our family vacation. Very clean. Plenty of dishes, bowls, pots etc as we made good use of the kitchen. Easy walk to town and the beach. Enjoyed our stay very much!

Thank you for sharing your home for an incredible week in Ogunquit. The house is exactly as shown and advertised, very comfortable, great location, no complaints at all. Doug and Kevin were super easy to work with and communication was professional and responsive. We have been renting in Ogunquit for several years and this house was by far the best for our family of 7 adults, all of whom had to plug in to work and needed privacy/quiet. The Living and Dining room area allowed for family meals, game playing and general relaxing for all of us throughout the day. Easy walk to town, and be sure to find Beth's garden path when walking to and from the village. And Maui, the English (not American) Golden Retriever puppy is two doors down and loves to play. We will definitely be back next year for another visit.

We had a wonderful stay and could not have been happier with our experience. Doug and Kevin were exceptional hosts—friendly, responsive, and attentive from the time we booked until the end of our stay.The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and exactly as described. It was clear that great care has been taken to create a comfortable and welcoming space for guests. We especially appreciated the convenient location, which made it easy to enjoy both Ogunquit Beach and downtown Ogunquit while still having a peaceful place to relax and unwind.Communication was outstanding throughout our stay. Favorite beach rental

Our multigenerational group has rented this property for three consecutive years, and it remains a favorite for all. The house is spacious, clean, comfortable, fully stocked and beautifully decorated. The location is absolutely ideal— an easy walk to downtown and a very quick drive to our favorite beach, Footbridge Beach. We cannot wait to return!

One of the best

One of the best houses in which I've stayed. Clean, pretty (both the house and the location), furnished with everything you could possibly need (including a Red Sox schedule on the refrigerator). Very responsive owners: A toilet that was clogged when we arrived got fixed within an hour.

Great house near town!

We had a lovely stay with 2 families here in late August. The house is walking distance to town and in a beautiful perfect location. The house itself is very clean with well appointed bedrooms and decor, games for the family and a downstairs separate area with lots of toys for kids. A great spot for a family vacay!

Best VRBO we have ever found

We returned for the second year to this wonderful home, with our three generations. It is so comfy, clean, and has a great layout with plenty of space to spread out. Comfy beds, excellent quiet AC. We like to cook dinners “at home” and the kitchen is so inviting and well-organized. I love the soft beautiful hardwood floors underfoot. Check in and out was easy! Gorgeous quiet neighborhood walking distance to town/beach.

Beautiful house and great location

We have been vacationing in Ogunquit for the last 7 years and found the Greywind house to be our new favorite. The house is beautiful and has everything a large family would need for a perfect vacation. The owners are wonderful to work with and we hope to be back next year,

Great home away from home!

We really enjoyed our stay at this spacious Ogunquit home. The property was well maintained and clean upon arrival. The location was fantastic, as it was a quick walk to town, while located in a quiet neighborhood. I would highly recommend staying at this house and will absolutely stay there again!

We’re Doug and Kevin, and we’re the owners of Windhaven Cottage. We currently reside in Boston, MA, but we enjoy traveling and exploring new places whenever possible. Many years ago, in our travels around New England, we stumbled upon Ogunquit and immediately fell in love with the charming village and beautiful beaches. We were also intrigued to learn that we could escape from the city to an amazing seaside village in less than 1.5 hours. After vacationing in Ogunquit for several years and spending countless weekends exploring the Marginal Way, singing along at the Front Porch piano bar, and relaxing on the sand, we finally decided we wanted a home there to call our own.

Windhaven Cottage is more than just a vacation rental. It’s our second home, and we enjoy spending as much time there as possible. As a result, the property is well-loved and feels like home, which we believe will be evident during your stay. We hope you love it as much as we do!
