Heron's Retreat sits creekside with a gently flowing creek immediately off the back porch and walking trails that wind through the tree hammock and down to the river. It is important to note of the eight honeymoon cottages, ONLY the creekside cottages have back porches that offer a view of the creek and walking trails.


Heron's Retreat is professionally decorated with some gorgeous artwork and décor that makes it stand out from any other property. Newly painted interior and exterior, you will find the cottage to be immaculate! Brand new flat screen TV's and bluetooth audio system add to the quality experience and ours is by far the most updated of all the honeymoon cottages.

The back porch will create a feeling of being immersed in the trees with high end patio furniture for a perfect cup of morning coffee, or evening beverage. Just listening to the creek and birds will make it hard to ever leave. Wait till you hang out on the on the swing, you will love it!!!

Brand new posturepedic pillow top mattress, with 1000 thread count linens, with a lofty down-like comforter with Duvet cover invites you for a luxuriously restful sleep. The brand new convertible sofa will provide additional sleeping if you decide to bring the little ones.

Steinhatchee Landing Development is an amazing 30 acre preserve with a full time staff of groundskeepers that ensure that everything remains beautiful. With weddings a commonplace, the onsite Chapel, and Koi ponds provide some amazing photograpy moments. Park your boat right at the community dock, light a fire at one of the firepits by the river, or just relax on one of the rocking chairs at the waters edge. Also feel free to use the community pool and indoor spa and sauna to enhance your Heron's Retreat experience.
