Honeymoon Cottage Steinhatchee Landing Resort

PLEASE NOTE: The glass two-sided fireplace does present a privacy issue...may not be suitable for more than one couple or children.

The Honeymoon Cottage, nestled in the beautiful Steinhatchee Landing Resort, is the perfect quiet getaway for couples. This cottage is beautifully decorated with hardwood floors, a two-sided fireplace between the bedroom and double jacuzzi tub and TVs in both the living/bedroom suite and bathroom. Fireplace is not on during the summer months. Estimated turn on late Nov/early Dec.

We also have WiFi & Roku TV in the cottage.

The large bathroom features marble tile and granite countertops. The bedroom has a luxurious king size bed with fine linens and the galley kitchen is fully equipped. There is a washer and dryer inside the cottage and a large screened back porch overlooking the small tidal fed Kings Creek.

The cottage is comfortable and relaxing and sits in a quaint resort village on the Steinhatchee River. You will think you've stepped back in time. Bring your golf cart or scooters to enjoy the resort itself or just to tool around town.

Play tennis, ping pong or basketball or enjoy the beautiful swimming pool. There is also an archery lane, playground and fitness center. If you love to fish, there is a boat dock on the river with gulf access close by. Bring your own boat, or you can rent a boat or charter a fishing trip at one of the nearby marinas. Summer's scalloping season is a not-to-be-missed event. There are several large public marinas are about a 5 minute drive from our location and our community has 17 boat slips that are first come, first served. There is trailer parking located near the entrance of the community. It is walking distance, but you cannot see it from the cottage.

The local grocery store is being rebuilt since the last hurricane. There is a Dollar General & Family Dollar in town with limited groceries. The closest grocery store is a 30 minute drive. Most restaurants & food trucks are open & fully operating.

This is one vacation you will truly love. You will want to return again and again to this timeless and beautiful setting.

Due to severe pet allergies, no pets allowed. No exceptions, sorry!

Well designed layout for two in the cottage. Clean and comfortable. A number of places available within a few minutes to eat dinner overlooking the waterway took the pressure off for having to drive far. Being a bit off the beaten path, it felt like like our own private hideaway.

Such a peaceful, quiet, and haven of rest that my wife and I so desperately needed. Perfect place where most of our time was spent on the shady back porch with ceiling fans running. Everything we needed as the cottage was well-equipped. Small restaurants, food trucks, and convenient stores all located within a short distance. Cottage and property were immaculately well kept.

Wonderful Old Florida feel

We enjoyed our stay at Steinhatchee Landings. The laid back village feel was definitely our vibe. Our hosts provided a relaxing, well-equipped home for us to venture out from for some scalloping trips in the Gulf.

Surprise Anniversary

We frequent Steinhatchee often for boating as it is a short 1.5hr drive from our home. This time we decided to stay in Steinhatchee instead of a day trip and cottage at the Landing was amazing! The cottage was clean, cozy, and everything we were looking for. We really liked being able to dock our boat for the stay and the amenities offered on the property. We will definitely be staying here again.

Wonderful neighborhood

The property is better than the listing and photo show. The cottage is very comfy and cozy and has everything you could possibly need. The screened in back porch overlooking the creek was a wonderful place to have coffee.

CUTE COTTAGE!!

my husband and I were there for my brother in laws 50th birthday party at the marina. we absolutely loved this place, bed was comfy, the jacuzzi tub was relaxing. Perfect spot on the end!! definitely recommend!!

Comfy bungalow

We really enjoyed our stay in Steinhatchee. The bungalow is at the end of the street very quiet birds chirping. The outdoor patio is screened in and really enjoyable with four ceiling fans. The AC is ice cold and after a day on the river. was very welcoming. The bed is extremely Comfortable and clean. The only con l/had to step into a very large Jacuzzi type tub to use the shower there was no shower mat so could definitely be A fall risk for someone with mobility issues. Important to note The water heater for the residence Will not fill the Jacuzzi tub on one tank. You will have to wait for the water to heat up again to fill. This was not important to us! We were there for scalloping season and managed just fine. The property is very walkable down to the river where there’s a place you can keep your boat provided There is room ..very family-friendly! We will stay again!

Steinhatchee get-away

Honeymoon cottage is as described. Secluded and private- perfect for a weekend away. Unfortunately, the bed is notably worn and soft and the sheets were pilling. We both found it extremely uncomfortable- it is time for new sheets and for the bed to be replaced !! we were also disappointed with the water in the shower which has mediocre pressure, took a long time to heat and was never really "hot". After a long day on the water, comfort and hot water are essential! Overall the cottage is perfect for 2 and clean- just needs a couple upgrades
