This property has 1675 plus square feet on 2 levels with 2 bedrooms, and will sleep 6 comfortably. The main level has 2 bedrooms one with a queen bed and the other with one twin beds, and one bunk bed,1 full bathroom, a great room with a floor to ceiling stone fire place, a cozy living space, a fully equipped kitchen,that we just remodeled, and an island with chairs for guests to dine. The main level has a wrap around deck with a gas grill and a large patio table for family entertainment. In the basement there is a queen bed, attached to a half bath, a wood stove, and an elliptical to exercise. This family getaway is only 12 minutes from downtown Evergreen.
45 minutes from the heart of Denver and its close to a massive outdoor activities such as hiking, Kayaking, Mountain Biking, Snowboarding, and Skiing

Relaxing mountain lodge

The view off the back deck is mesmerizing. My wife and I took a trip to see a concert at Red Rocks one night and stayed a few extra days and stayed at this home. It was perfect for us.

Beautiful view

We really enjoyed our recent stay. The house was nice and comfortable, the view was beautiful and it was very relaxing to be there. My son loved the bunk beds. The kitchen was well stocked too. Communicating with Sara was really easy and she was very nice and accommodating. Weā€™d recommend it to other families or couples.

Beautiful and peaceful setting

We enjoyed our stay. Home was beautiful with amazing view and comfy living room. Very clean. Had good communication with host and kitchen has everything you need. Enjoyed the hummingbirds. Close to Red Rocks for concerts is one reason why we rented this place. Lots of trails and fun things to do nearby. Would rent again.

Lovely Mountain Home

Overall, it was a great stay with a well-stocked kitchen. There were a couple of minor glitches with some mal-functioning items, but Sara was very responsive to repair them when brought to her attention. We were sorry to have to leave at the end of our stay.

Amazing view above Evergreen

We had a comfortable, lovely stay above Evergreen. Plenty of room for all of us. Great host, she couldn't have been nicer. Evergreen was charming and inviting and the town is central to so many choices to entertain yourself. We drove Mt. Evans, hiked Loch Lomond, etc. etc. Can't go wrong, 5 stars.

Wonderful stay, lovely host

Saraā€™s place was perfect for our stay. Evergreen is a beautiful town with a lake for skating and ice fishing in the winter. The sunrise from the deck was priceless! Sara does all the cleaning herself which ensures a clean home with little to do but relax and enjoy! She was quick to respond when I had questions about checking in a little early and was always gracious and kind. We will definitely come back!

Wonderful Mountain Retreat!!šŸ¤©

The views from the back deck, as well as the driveway, were just phenomenal! Sara was a very gracious host and even left us some chocolates on the table that we devoured after arriving, lol! There are a lot of hiking trails close to the cabin like Upper Maxwell Falls and we even hiked up and down the winding roads near the cabin. Thank you for sharing your home with us so that we could experience the beauty of Colorado without having to stay in a hotel! We WILL be coming back next year!šŸ¤— Thank you, Sara!šŸ˜Š

unfortunately we had a mild wind storm which took the electricity out which was not the owner's fault but when the water went down and we could not even use the bathroom we had to leave early. the problem was sarah was not sympathetic at all-I realize it was not her fault but she kept telling us what her problems were instead of giving us some support. she also need a booklet that tells how to use the TV and how to get to the closest restaurants and store etc. you are not close to things al all

Our new favorite cabin! We will be back!

Sarah is very responsive and incredibly thoughtful as a host. We only booked 2 nights originally and last minute after our first booking fell through due to no water. After enjoying the house, the deck, views and coziness of Sarahā€™s house the first 2 nights, we rearranged our plans to stay another night. Her house is bright, clean, cozy, with plenty of amenities (bath, kitchen, etc). Condiments, spices, and cookware were perfect for us as we preferred to stay in. Downstairs is a large den and bedroom with an elliptical machine. Upstairs bedrooms are perfect for couple and kids. Deck is spacious and perfect for grilling. We also went to a concert at Red Rocks on one night, and it was only about a 30 minute drive. Beautiful house and location, and most considerate and thoughtful host. Thank you again, Sarah!! Mountain Paradise

Our stay at Saraā€™s beautiful home not only met but exceeded our wildest expectations. Sara was friendly, extremely helpful, and professional. The home was clean and comfortable, even for 6 adults. The kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked with everything we might need, including chocolate! The picturesque view and surrounding nature left us both inspired and soothed at the start and end of each busy day. A mule deer visited us right next to the deck for our morning coffee on our last day. We couldnā€™t have had a better stay and look forward to returning!

Great placeto to stay

Relaxing time on deck or in front of t.v. Our stay was too late for hummingbirds but the bear in the trash was exciting! Plenty of dinnerware and spices. Sarah was available for any questions we had. She even supplied fresh eggs from herto chickens! Thanks Sarah!

Amazing location and views

My husband and I, along with our two teenage sons absolutely loved staying at Shadow Mountain! The house was a perfect size for the four of us and allowed our teens their own space. The views were spectacular and it was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. If we return to Evergreen, we will definitely stay again.

Glorious Nature

Beautiful scenery viewing from the wrap around deck. Saw mule deer, elk, bear and hummingbirds. Sara also left us fresh eggs from the chickens on property. We were also able to view rainbows 3 nights in a row. Nice to get away from the hustle and bustle to enjoy Godā€™s wonderful creations!
