The Ponderosa Mountain Home is now available only for 30-days or longer.

Ponderosa Mountain Home is just a short walk to ice skating and ice fishing in winter, boating and fishing in summer. It is also a short walk/drive to downtown Evergreen! Come enjoy this beautiful area with ample outdoor activities, fine restaurants and the greatest brew pubs in the world. Easy access to Red Rocks Amphitheatre, taverns and clubs featuring local musicians, outstanding dramatic theater, even first-rate opera and ballet. Outdoor sports are incomparable. For summer, just step outside your door. Or the Mt. Evans Wilderness is just a short drive. Rocky Mountain National Park is two hours away on the scenic Peak-to-Peak Highway. Winter is a wonderland, a doorway to world-class skiing, snowshoeing, and climbing. The Ponderosa Mountain Home has 3 bedrooms. The master suite has a sitting room and queen-size bed with adjustable mattress. The second bedroom has a full mattress, also adjustable. The third bedroom has a day bed with a trundle. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome but while outdoors they must be on a leash at all times. It is to safeguard your pet(s) and the local wildlife, who really are our premier guests.

This is our favorite place to stay!! We love all things Evergreen, i.e. especially the Elk! All the amenities are great and our host is always ready to help. This is our 7th time staying hereā€¦we will always consider this our home away from home.

Great location and convenient to Evergreen. Pretty cool waking up every morning drinking coffee watching the elk and mule deer within 15 yards of you. Very well maintained home. Recommend!

My mother, mother-in-law, husband and myself stayed in the house for my sonā€™s wedding! We loved the decor of the home and very clean! It was perfect for the location! Close to everywhere we needed to go! We will definitely recommend this home to family and friends! Spike could not have been more accommodating!

The house was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. The shower had excellent water pressure and the beds and bedding were very comfortable. We enjoyed seeing deer and elk in the yard. The location was convenient to Red Rocks. We would stay again if we returned to the area.

Magical place. Spike is easy to communicate with and an exceptional host.. Elk walked through the property every morning. Cozy fireplace. Cabin is very clean with attention to details. Comfortable beds, beautiful updated kitchen and appliances. Beautifully decorated throughout the house. Close walk to Evergreen Lake and downtown. Short drive to Red Rocks. We will be back.

Evergreen Near Downtown

Check-in was easy. The property owner communicated days ahead how to gain access. The kitchen is great! We cook and had everything we needed (pots pans etc). The kitchen is a good size with clear view of large great room. The kitchen has good lighting and large windows which I like. There is a good amount of seating in the great room. The bedrooms were a good size for our group.

Home Away from Home

This is at least 6 times we have stayed at the Ponderosa and it never disappoints! Love seeing (from a distance) the wildlifeā€¦thatā€™s always a treat! Always neat and tidy, clean, and our host is nearby to answer any questions! We have already booked this place this coming fall and will always consider this ā€œour home away from home.ā€

Great Location

My family and I stayed for a week over spring break. We love Evergreen and have been many times. This cabin was in walking distance to the lake which we enjoyed walking around. We went skiing two days at Loveland and we felt the drive was close enenough. verdoable

10 days in Evergreen!

Darling, cozy cabin beautifully appointed and very comfortable! We own a design firm and we dont say that often! Ck in was easy, location is minutes to DT Evergreen, walking to the lake is minutes away. Bring your cozy slippers and enjoy!

February One Month Stay

The Ponderosa House was a quiet, comfortable haven to call home for the month. Enjoyed being so close to downtown Evergreen, trail walks and Evergreen Lake. The porch was a treat to warm in the sun or watch the frequent herd of deer in the yard. Our hosts were readily available. So thankful we chose Ponderosa House for our stay.

Great little cabin near lake and downtown

We stayed at Ponderosa for a week and had a wonderful time. The location is very convenient to everything and you can easily walk down to the lake and downtown. The home is well equipped and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

Wonderful cabin in idyllic location

This was the second time we stayed at Ponderosa this year. We love the location being able to walk to the lake and downtown Evergreen. The cabin is well appointed and has everything one would need. The best part is sitting out on the deck and watching elk walk by.

We needed a cabin in Evergreen that would hold 6 adults for a long weekend when we were there to celebrate our sonā€™s wedding. This was the perfect place. Not only was it close to downtown and the lake, we discovered that it was within walking distance of our sonā€™s home too. Each day deer came by and looked in the window at us, and on our last day two elk and their babies wandered by also. We stayed inside and watched the wildlife through the windows. We took full advantage of the kitchen and grilled burgers and steaks twice. Eating on the patio in the cool evening was lovely. Even though there were neighbors on both sides it felt like we were in a secluded cabin in the woods. We will definitely be back more often and take advantage of this place. It is so lovely and convenient and we had a wonderful time.

Beautiful

It was an amazing place and absolutely gorgeous. We had deer in the yard everyday and herds of elk right within town! It was an easy access to the gorgeous lake. Everything we needed was in the cabin ready for us. It is cozy, quiet and not to mention the beds are so comfortable! 100would recommend!%

Great location. Close to downtown Evergreen and many hiking trails. Not too far from denver to visit family. Deer commonly sat in yard. Property well taken care of. Was a great getaway for the month.

Beautiful cabin in the woods and close to evergreen lake

The cabin has been beautifully renovated with modern kitchen and a modern small bathroom. Fully stocked kitchen with good dishes, pots, pans and spices. The bed was comfortable. Husband and I are 75 so we opted to use only the lower bedroom as the upstairs steps were a bit steep for us. The lake can be reached by foot or a short drive. We walked around the lake with our dog several days. The owner who is a delightful lady and her son were very responsive to the few questions we had. We had many elk and deer in the yard daily for our enjoyment. Would stay again if we come back to Evergreen.

We had a wonderful time!!

The cabin is everything they say it is. Very comfortable and supplied well in the kitchen. The area around the cabin is beautiful and thereā€™s a nice deck to enjoy the outdoors. The owner is very available for emergency type things!! I hope we stay there next year on our trip!!

Evergreen Home

Amazing home in great neighborhood. Close to downtown restaurants and shopping. The home interior is very warm and inviting. The gas stone fireplace brings a cozy feeling to the house. Kitchen is large and well stocked. It snowed 18ā€ while we were there. We hiked nearby trails in the snow and then came back to relax by the fire. Would definitely rent again.

Awesome Cabin

The Ponderosa is awesome!! Clean, well stocked, located close to Evergreen lake and shops, and we cannot forget our Premier Guestsā€¦our precious wildlife! What a treat to see elk, deer, beavers and a rare glimpse of a coyote. This is our 4th visit to this cabin and we will always consider this our second home. The hosts are superb in every way.

Awesome property

The pictures donā€™t do this place justice! A wonderful cabin with great amenities. Youā€™re at the top of the hill and can walk down to the lake and then right into the picturesque town of Evergreen. Go enjoy the mountains and stay here - youā€™ll be glad you did!
