Have the best of both worlds: a large cottage with 11 beds on a tranquil bay of Lake Muskoka while being only a couple of minutes away from the wharf and all the activities of Gravenhurst!

We have a small sandy beach area where little ones can walk into the water without worry. And the long dock provides enough space to tie up boats and SeaDoos. The lake freezes in the winter, providing opportunity for ice fishing and snowmobiling.

Perfect for getting away with family and friends, this 4200 square foot cottage is in a family-friendly area and sits right on Lake Muskoka, giving you private lake access while being only 3km from Historic Downtown Gravenhurst. Enjoy great views of the lake from the open-concept living/dining/kitchen area as well as from the main-level deck where you can barbecue.

With 5 bedrooms, a loft, and 4.5 washrooms, the house can sleep up to 14 people. Bed linens and towels are provided.

The TV/Game room sports a 60" TV, a pool table, an air hockey table, several board games, and children's books for indoor fun.

Single person kayaks are available for use on the lake. You can even swim to the private islet!

The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, and place settings. Essentials are provided. Please bring your own toiletries and any extra toilet paper or paper towels needed beyond what is provided.

The cottage was great for our annual friends weekend away. The cottage was clean and Tushar, the host, was very responsive. The location was also great… right on the water and very close to town if you need to grab anything. Would recommend this property for larger groups.

The pictures are beautiful but the property is even better! The location, views, layout were all ideal. We loved kayaking and swimming, watching the night sky from the dock and eatting/bbq'd on the large deck off the kitchen; Playing pool in the evening. So close to grocery stores, etc. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage!.

Great location for a family vacation!

Tushar was quick to respond to questions, the check-in was simple and the cottage was exactly as described on the site. The kitchen was well equipped and quickly became the center of activities. It was nice to have 2 kayaks to explore the bay and plenty of chairs indoor and out to enjoy our friends and family. We had a wonderful 55th anniversary week in Muskoka!

Great family stay, loved the shallow entry into the water, large size of the cottage and fact there was a bathroom for almost everyone (3 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms). The cottage was clean and the owner and property manager were very responsive. My only feedback is the couches need replacing/updating as they were broken/sagging and leather was torn. But the size, west facing for the dock and cleanliness were top notch.

View was fantastic, close to town, plenty of room. The “game/tv” room was our favourite room, all 14 of us had a seat. Lots of washrooms. Well stocked kitchen (some things missing/not working properly - beaters and hand can opener). Disappointed that, for the high cleaning fee, we had to take our garbage with us, that’s a first!

Great time in Muskoka

We rented the cottage for our family as our daughter was getting married in Gravenhurst . The owner was great to deal with . Answered my questions promptly and was helpful with a few things I had requested. Property was beautiful and we were able to get some beautiful wedding pics overlooking the lake .

3rd summer of family time!

For 3 years in a row, we’ve enjoyed 2 weeks of wonderful family time at Red Rock cottage. So much space for the kids. Great sandy, shallow entry area for the young ones. Very close to town for groceries. And fishing off the dock makes every one happy. We’ll be back!!!

Winter Excursion

We found the house and amenities more than adequate for our family weekend getaway. Large communal spaces for relaxing, playing games or just hanging out together. Large kitchen well appointed. Bedroom configurations able to sleep multiple children/families. Located right on the lake but close to town for picking up things. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone. Upstairs den overlooking the lake at sunrise cannot be beat!!

Amazing Ladies’ Weekend

Enjoyed out ladies’ weekend at this property for the second time! Great property! Peaceful mornings on the dock enjoying our morning coffee! Close to the town of Gravenhurst and all the local sites, easy to get to. Place was clean and spacious with multiple places to find your own “quiet space”. Great rec room with air hockey and pool table. Owner was a pleasure to deal with quick responses. Would recommend for a large group!

Amazing Experience!

All places should be run like this - fro the booking experience t to the property manager. It was an incredible beautiful place to stay and on top of that the property manager was incredible to deal with. Case and point the TV Screen started to fail and was a bit choppy. i texted the property manager and he had a brand new one delivered and installed within hours. I had a large group of 13 up and every single one of them was in shock that a place like this even existed, and asked if we cold make this place our annual destination. Would re-book in a heartbeat.

Shock and disappointment

This was the 4th summer that we stayed at this cottage. We were expecting the same conditions as before. What a shock when we pulled into the driveway and saw the dock. It was so heavily covered in goose poop that I couldn’t let kids out of the car. My son had to use a SNOW shovel to get rid of the poop and then wash down the dock with water before anyone could stand on it. The next problem was the grass. It was totally covered in poop also. My son also used a sand shovel to flick the poop into a large tin bucket. It took him 2 hours to clear a path from the deck and front door to the dock. I was hoping that the inside of the cottage was still 20,000Worth of wonderful. I realize that rental homes take a beating in wear and tear. But over this winter a lot has happened. All 3 leather cottages in the lower family room need to be replaced as they are in various states of disrepair. The deck off the kitchen needs to be replaced as the wood has so many holes in it that a small child could get their foot stuck. We had many chair legs stuck. One outdoor chair has had a broken back for 3 years and it’s never been replaced.I don’t know how VRBO works, if you just rent out the places and someone else is a property manager. But over the years we have spent 70,000 to rent this once beautiful cottage for only 2 weeks of the summer and I can’t imagine how much the owner makes per year. We love this property and will keep renting if it is properly maintained.

Dinner table

All rooms were spacy and clean, and we enjoyed staying there very much . The only problem was that all 16 people could not sit on the same table at dinner. Actually, the table was only for 10 persons.

Amazing Experience

The cottage was perfect for a large group. There were plenty of rooms, all of which were spacious. The property manager was extremely accommodating and answered all our questions and concerns in a timely manner. All you really need to bring is yourself because the cottage was fully equipped. Thank you for everything!

Great cottage and well equipped

We stayed here with friends and our kids, total of 9, and it was great. Games room kept adult and kids occupied and interactive, large rooms and well equipped throughout. We went in the winter and were able to ski on the lake and take snowmobiles on the lake for a rides and easy access to official snowmobile trails few km's down the lake at the wharf. Nicely equipped kitchen with dual ovens, we couldn't get the broilers to work in either ovens but reported that and I'm sure they will be fixed. The stove top is little slow to cook on (radiant glass burners cycle on and off constantly ) making it longer process to cook certain meals, but other than that, great place to stay. Would have given 5 stars if not the oven broiler problem and slow cook-top which made it longer process when preparing meals for large group.

Beautiful cottage for a weekend getaway

This cottage was exactly what our group was looking for when we had a weekend getaway from the city in mind. The place provided a variety of different activities, plenty of space, fully equipped kitchen and more to help make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Jake was also extremely helpful and attentive when we had questions and required assistance throughout the visit. Would recommend for larger groups.

Amazing Cottage! Clean and Beautiful.

The cottage was so clean when we arrived! And the property is to die for - right on the lake. Wonderful big rooms and lots of room to sleep plenty. Definitely will recommend this to friends and family. The property owners were a pleasure to deal with. All services worked perfectly (WiFi, etc). No complaints here.

Perfect for large group of people

This cottage is perfect for large groups, we had a group of 15 people all together in one place. The cottage is large enough to accommodate everyone. It is clean and well maintained, there is enough beds for everyone to sleep and things to do, as well find your own space to relax. We certainly enjoy this stay and will be back soon.
