Welcome to Sunset View at Pine Mountain Club! We just added a queen 'Sleep Number' bed in the master bedroom... it's so comfortable! Come enjoy a 2023 to remember in our 1200 sq. ft. home at 6100'! SPECIAL: 6% tax is currently included in rental rate and EARLY check-in! New TREX on lower deck, fresh paint on upper deck & new deck chairs! We've upgraded our flat screen TV's! GUEST CARDS / PASSES:: Guest cards / passes (provided for up to four occupants) offer access to clubhouse amenities and golf course. There is a $5 per person charge, per day, for pool use. (Open Memorial Day to Labor Day, weather permitting)

SUMMARY: Each season holds its unique beauty in this Mountain jewel of a community, as well as the opportunity for incredible sunsets from our deck! We are delighted to offer our 'five-star' rated home for your stay in Pine Mountain Club. Come enjoy the wonders and colors of the season and one of Southern California's 'best-kept secrets'.

LOCATION: Located at 6100+ foot level, our mountain home is located high in the Valley (SNOW country) in Pine Mountain Club - a close destination with a far-away feel - and because there are no stop lights or street lights, no sirens, no car alarms, no noise from neighbors or 'village' activities, no smog or traffic, you'll feel miles away from city life at our mountain home. With a true four-season mountain climate, our home is the perfect year-round destination for a quick getaway!

GENERAL: Located on a beautiful & very QUIET street, one of the quietest areas on the Mountain, yet just a 2 minute drive to the Village / clubhouse / golf course, our home is two-story, has a lovely, open floor plan (upstairs) with knotty pine, high-vaulted ceilings in the great room, open-concept kitchen with custom granite island top, six-panel doors throughout, dual-pained windows (which keeps you cool in the Summer and warm in cooler months), heat-wrapped pipes, and Levolor blinds Our home is primarily designed for one or two couples. Rental currently includes ALL Kern County Occupancy taxes (6%).

With a great southern exposure, our home is considered 'passive-solar'. Modern (built 1/2003), our home is beautifully decorated with quality mountain comforts (no 'hand-me-down' furniture here!), upscale amenities (we have an incredible 580+ movie collection & WI-Fi, 190 channel satellite TV (3), we offer hand sanitizer, popcorn, hot chocolate & herbal teas, plus much, much more), our home is exceptionally clean & comfortable (1200+ square ft) with wonderful, unobstructed mountain views. Our upper deck, which we recently replaced, faces south and west and is great for outdoor dining / grilling and stargazing; the sunrise / sunsets / night-sky are spectacular from our deck and will put on quite a show! The lower deck is shaded and is a great place to set-up the hammock (provided)! We back to the Los Padres National Forest - wildlife (deer, raccoon, bobcat, mountain lion, coyote(s), bear, fox, bunnies, squirrels, quail, dove, hummingbirds, stellar & scrub jays) abounds. And when there's significant SNOW, the hillside behind our home (at 6100+ feet) is perfect for sledding! Mt. Pino's (8300'-8800') is just 15 minutes away and, as the locals know, is a GREAT cross-country skiing and snow-play destination! It's also a great hiking /biking / picnic area, too, with incredible views!

COMMUNITY: Guests agree to abide by the PMCPOA rules and regulations, as outlined in our rental agreement (a standard California vacation rental agreement, required within 3 days of your reservation). A copy of the PMCPOA rules can be found on-line and at our mountain home.

AMENITIES: Secure, free WI-Fi, BOSE Stereo System ( bring your CD's), 50' HDTV flat screen satellite TV (w/DVR) in the great room and TV's in each bedroom; Carbon Monoxide detector, as well as heat-wrapped pipes. We added a new glass-top patio table w/four chairs on the deck for outdoor dining, along with a large relaxing hammock, two large market umbrella's for your use and enjoyment. There's also a Weber grill & grill utensils; please bring charcoal & lighter fluid. We supply clean burning fire logs (no need to bring firewood). Guests are provided a complete list of items in our home prior to their stay.

BEDROOMS: We offer two private bedrooms, both with a queen bed and satellite/DVR/ DVD TV's. Master has attached bath with walk-in shower and large walk-in closet. Guest bedroom offers outside access and is steps from a full bath.

CLEANING: Guests are asked to leave our home neat and tidy. Cleaning fee does not include doing dishes or removing trash. Cleaning fee includes linens - sheets for both queen beds and plush oversized towels for up to four (4). We follow all CDC cleaning guidelines, which includes sanitizing all surfaces, etc.

LINENS: (Included in the cleaning fee) We provide new, high-quality sheets, lots of pillows, clean blankets and down comforters, as well as plush throws and hand-made Afghans.

WEATHER: Due to our 6100' elevation on the Mountain, SNOW may be present or occur during cooler months - October through May.. (If rain is expected in So. CA, you will likely encounter snow in the winter at our 6100+ elevation.) Please know that our roads are very well-maintained, but area CHP requires that you carry chains and / or have a 4x4 vehicle when snow is possible. Please check the Association' link (PMCPOA) for current / historical weather information. Zip is 93222. Mt. Pino's webcam shows real-time weather.

PETS: We will consider up to two (2) well-behaved dogs with a non-refundable fee. Please disclose. (No cats or puppies, please.)

NO SMOKING: This is a NON-smoking, non-vaping home and high fire danger area. We ask that you do not smoke on our property. If anyone in your group smokes, please consider another home.

TRIP INSURANCE: We recommend that all guests insure their trip /stay. Insure My Trip offers options.

INTERNET: Our WI-Fi (Frazier Mountain Internet) is the most reliable of area providers and is appropriate for checking email, surfing the web and Zoom meetings / classes, but it is broadband, so will NOT accommodate streaming or streaming services such as Netflix / On Demand, etc.. You can arrange to 'hot-spot' with your cell carrier prior to your stay.

If a close, relaxing, year-round 2 - 7 day getaway is what you seek, and you appreciate a very quiet, very clean, sophisticated, well-maintained, upscale mountain home - a home that shows 'pride of ownership - we truly welcome you. Attention has been paid to EVERY detail in our mountain home and, because this is our second home, we offer amenities that are not typical / average of most 'rentals' here on the Mountain.
