Perfect stay!

This was a great home to accommodate our family for a weekend getaway. The home was clean, kitchen and living areas were spacious, and the beds were so comfortable. We loved the patios and large yard for visiting/playing. The location was perfect, right on the water. The dock was fully functional, safe, and a great place to keep our small boat for the weekend. We would definitely stay again.

Family Getaway

This is the 2nd year we stayed at the property. Both times have been perfect. The house well appointed and is in the perfect location on the lake. The hosts are quick to respond to inquiries. We highly recommend this rental.

Lakeside getaway

The house is just as advertised. Located on a very good stretch of the lake. The dock area is well maintained. The yard is immaculate and shaded by mature trees. Would definitely stay again.

We had a Great time at this place. House was very clean and well stocked. Unlike some of LBJ, there are minimal weeds on this portion of the lake making it great for swimming and boating. This portion of the lake has a sandy bottom. Its great! We rented a 23'

Great Lake House for Family Vacation

Very spacious home with four bedrooms, four bathrooms, large living room and large kitchen. Great place for our family to come together for vacation and enjoy the lake. We loved the boat dock with the boat lift and jet ski ramps, it was our hang out spot! This place is very comfortable, clean and well stocked, the owners pay attention to every little detail. The owners provide great customer service and respond to any questions you might have very quickly. We look forward to returning next year for our annual trip to Lake LBJ!

The house was stocked well and nice but could use a good once over on the interior for spiderwebs etc. the location was good, but there was no ladder to get on and off the dock and the area around the dock needs some maintenance to make it useable for swimming.

Solar Eclipse 2024

My wife and I stayed with two other couples to view the 2024 solar eclipse. We did get lucky enough to see it despite some clouds, but the house was so much more than that. It was a great place for us all to relax, cook meals, and enjoy the lake. The small town of Kingsland has everything you need and nothing you donā€™t. The nearby area is beautiful with rolling hills, lakes, and state parks. In the spring there are amazing wildflowers. It is easy to drive to either Austin or San Antonio for day trips. Overall we couldnā€™t be happier with our trip and would highly recommend this home for adventures with family or friends.

Good Location

We did enjoy our stay here. We hung out at the dock and floated in the water on floats that we brought. We also brought a box fan that we were able to plug into the outlet for extra breeze. We used the provided kayaks to paddle down to the sand bar, which was a lot of fun. The house itself is great for larger families as each bedroom has its own updated bath (though small). Lots of room to spread out. The house itself is not thoroughly cleaned, with dust bunnies on ceilings, under furniture and on the air-return vent. The kitchen/pantry has a lot of various items to use - beware that some of the items are long (13 years) expired. The outside porches are not well cared for either, the outside table upstairs had some sort of dried on substance (maybe ketchup?), bottle caps (not ours) on the ground and just general gunk on the wood upstairs and concrete downstairs. We spent the evenings after the kids retired on the upstairs porch (would have been nicer if the A/C units weren't on the second floor of the back of the house as they were loud, especially when both were running at the same time). Several drawbacks would be the spiral staircase that leads to the downstairs bedroom - although this room would be exceptional for parents with small kids - you could not navigate this staircase while carrying a child. A small toddler would be able to fit thru the spindles while going up or down on their own. The only other access to the downstairs was another safety issue - the steps off the upstairs porch did not have a stair rail and there is actually a landing there where you think you should turn (if you did you would make a 5' fall onto concrete). It seems there is an attempt to make a stair rail but that creates an impaling hazard as there are only posts in place. Overall, our stay was OK.

Great location and boat slip

Loved being able to bring our boat and utilize the slip right in front of the property. One of the best locations for the Kingsland Area. 2 min ride to Boat Town for good food and drinks and Hā€‘Eā€‘B is only 5 min away. Recently updated bathrooms and large kitchen area. Was easy to have a few people preparing food at the same time. The main dining is a little cut off due to configuration of the cabinets but the views are amazing. Wide open lake views from the living area as well. The kids loved taking the kayaks to the sand bar. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room, would definitely stay here again! Communication was great with quick responses.

Adventures at Lake LBJ

Our family of 6 adults and 4 kids from the ages of 6 to 10, thoroughly enjoyed 3 days of Thanksgiving food and fun at this large home on Lake LBJ. I brought my roasting pan for the turkey, but the spacious kitchen was well equipped for cooking a Thanksgiving dinner for 10. They also have a huge dining room table that accommodated us well. We rented a jet ski one day and took turns taking the kids for a ride which was great fun. We also loved riding in the kayaks (5 of them) down to the sand bar where we got out and played in the sand and the water. Then each night we made a fire in the firepit on the patio and enjoyed singing, making s'mores and looking at the stars. Our Thanksgiving gathering was wonderful in every way!

WONDERFUL STAY

This home is spacious and squeaky clean. The beds were very comfortable. All but 1 bedroom are on the main floor so it was a great choice since my mom is on a walker. Mom really enjoyed being able to sit on the balcony and watch the boats and our fishing adventures down at the pier. There is a high top game table in the living room, a full size 8 place dining table, a breakfast table, a balcony table and 4 seats at the kitchen island so seating a crowd for dinner is easy. We will def book this lovely place again.
