For your convenience, the cabin offers essential features such as 3 bathrooms, towels, basic soaps, a hair dryer, an iron and board, and heating and linens. Plus, you'll have access to a washing machine and dryer, making it easy to keep your clothes fresh during your stay.

*Does the Big Chill have central air conditioning? No it does not. We have found that it rarely gets above 80 degrees in Seven Devils in the summertime. If you open the windows and turn on the ceiling fans the cabin cools down nicely.

*Distance to area attractions - Hawksnest (2.8 miles, 8 minutes) - Sugar Mountain (6.8 miles, 15 minutes) - Banner Elk (9.3 miles, 18 minutes) - Boone (12.4 miles, 24 minutes) - Blowing Rock (12.5 miles, 28 minutes) - Grandfather Mountain (14.1 miles, 26 minutes)

* What is your security deposit policy? There is no security deposit collected at the time of rental. Your credit card will be held by VRBO until my property manager assesses that no damage has occurred to the cabin (up to 14 days). This policy is designed to keep our cabin in pristine shape for all of our renters. If I don't report to VRBO that damage has occurred, the hold will be released after this 14 day period.

* Is four wheel drive required in the winter months? The town of Seven Devils has a chain ordinance that states Whenever the Town Manager, Police Chief, or Public Works Director determines that travel by motor vehicles on Town streets is hazardous due to snow, ice or a combination of both, the traffic-control device (flashing sign) at the entrance of the Town of Seven Devils shall be clearly illuminated, stating that this chain law is in effect, requiring: A. Chains B. Snow tires C. Four-wheel Drive (or AWD) D. A combination of the above. The town of Seven Devils does a good job clearing the roads (all paved) after a snow fall. This includes the road which leads directly to the cabin.

* Does the cabin provide keyless entry? Yes it does. Once your reservation has been set, I will send you your personal 4 digit code the week of your visit.

* Do you offer long term rentals of the Big Chill? We do not offer long term rentals at this time. The longest rental available is for a two week period.

* Can I smoke in the Big Chill? No. There is no smoking of any kind allowed anywhere on the property. Any evidence of smoking will result in a charge to the renters credit card.

*Does the Big Chill allow pets? We do not allow pets of any kind.
