Had an amazing relaxing week in Kalkan at the Villa Tara. Second time here & met some lovely people.

Second time in Kalkan &more importantly Villa Tara, Huseyin & Caroline were again very helpful in all inqueries & even met up with Huseyin for a drink in town. We have eaten in some fantastic restaraunts (Yelken Aqua & Brothers and have met some lovely people here. We have already discussed returning next year to sample the fantastic way of life here So see you soon Kalkan Mark & Corina.

Wonderful stay in a lovely villa

Villa Tara was the perfect base for our half-term in Kalkan - situated 15/20 mins walk from the centre of town, and with a lovely view of Kalamar Bay. The villa is spacious, beautifully presented, with balconies in every room and a roof terrace right at the top for sunsets and star gazing. We had worried that the pool might be a bit small for our very active kids but the pictures don't do it justice - it was plenty big enough for all 4 of us to play in together and had a proper deep end for diving! Also, the pool lights made it perfect for a night swim. Great comms from the owners Huseyin & Caroline - thank you! We will be back!

A lovely lovely place

The Villa Tara in Kalkan is a beautiful place & it has been set out in a wonderful town full of everything required for a magical holiday. The owners Huseyin & Caroline went beyond the call of duty to make our trip memorable by organising our transfers to & from Dalaman Airport and leaving a welcome pack in the Villa. Everything you require is within walking distance from local restaurants & bars I recommend The Yelken Bistro and Aqua Bistro to the local Yali Express supermarket and the Harbour which is perfect for a stroll & a meal. But the icing on the cake is the views you get from the Villa over Kalamar Bay which is outstanding which is why we are heading back next year........ Spacious, great view, comfortable

Enjoyed our 3 night stay in Nov 2020. A great price off season. Spacious house with good amenities. Lovely balconies with great views. Spent most of our time on the balcony off the king bedroom. Comfortable beds. Fast wifi. Some kitchen appliances a bit dated and could use an upgrade, particularly microwave. A ton of dishware and glassware and nice full-size dishwasher. Parking spot is really tight, but it's off-road and safe spot for the car. Overall really nice place and I would return.

A Perfect Retreat

We have just returned from a very enjoyable stay at this charming and beautifully cared for Villa, located in Kalamar Bay (15 minute walk from Kalkan). The owner Huseyin was excellent and you can book with full confidence that he will look after you and be there to help if you need anything. On our second night around 9:30pm we had a problem with some lights not working on the roof terrace - within 30 minutes of texting him, the caretaker was with us and had fixed the problem! Huseyin was also able to book our car transfer to and from the airport and it allowed us to relax and enjoy our holiday stress free knowing that we were in good hands. I was really impressed with the condition of the Villa when we arrived and the internal decorations are very nice indeed. The pool is a decent size and you get plenty of sun during the day. The kitchen facilities were superb, including a water cooler and there is a barbeque for grills on the roof terrace at night. There is so much to do in and around Kalkan that you will probably not spend a whole lot of time at the Villa itself, but when you come back to it of an evening you will appreciate the homely qualities and the spectacular views that are afforded from the location of this lovely villa in a quiet and relatively private corner of Kalamar Bay. It is of course a great place to spend the day lazing by the pool if you prefer, and there are some amazing restaurants very close by to eat at reasonable prices. We look forward to coming back again one day!

Mark I was delighted you and your friends had a great holiday and intend to come back someday. Sorry the lights were faulty but our caretaker is a gem. Any problem and he is there right away. Having the BBQ on the roof terrace is great- the view is spectacular. Getting away from life`s stresses is what a good holiday is all about. Hope to see you again. Huseyin & Caroline

2020 Needed Kalkan.

Excellent coms from the get go. Villa is in a lovely location in Kalamar Bay area ( our favourite) within easy walking distance of good restaurants and a good walk or a £3 taxi ride from Kalkan town centre. The Villa had everything we needed for our stay, lovely pool, balconies galore and a beautiful view. Beds were comfy and with two sitting rooms ideal for families, if you ever needed to be indoors. I don't think we sat in either sitting room. If you are looking for modern and up to date this villa is not for you, but, if like us, you want comfort, cleanliness, a good view, decent pool and a fully equipped villa then I would highly recommend Villa Tara.

Amazing Views

Lovely stay in beautiful villa. Views over bay from each room stunning. Very peaceful but only a short walk to restaurants and bars. Pool was a good size and lots of sunbeds. Villa was like a home from home. Lovely outside terrace for dining with views over bay.

perfect location for peace and tranquillity

The views are amazing. The perfect location - local town 15 minutes walks with picturesque scenery Local shops a stone throw away Everyone so pleasant and willing to help my daughter is vegan - a nightmare i thought Not at all. The restaurants bend over backwards to accommodate you. There were 8 adults in the villa ample space fully equipped kitchen great size pool- lights inside pool so perfect for an evening swim. This is our second time here this year in Kalkan in Tara villa and we will certainly be going back again. plenty to do if you want otherwise just taken in the sun and surroundings.

Summer Bliss

Perfect in every way

Brilliant holiday at Villa Tara. Views are stunning put over the bay. Villa is even better than pictures, hard to do it justice. Pool had sun all day and plenty of sun lounges. It is very private and not overlooked. Villa was a real home from home. Everything you needed for a relaxing holiday. Close to lovely restaurants. Highly recommend for a perfect holiday.

amazing villa.

I had a lovely holiday staying at the villa. It is a home from home with everything you could possibly need. The villa is beautifully maintained and clean to high standard. The layout is perfect for a large group and is spacious enough for different families sharing. Being pool side is so relaxing with many sunbeds in a beautifully maintained garden with beautiful flowers.The pool is cleaned everyday. The views across Kalamar Bay are amazing from many places within the villa but particularly the top terrace which is more beautiful of an evening. Customer service from the owner was amazing as arranged all transfers and ensured we had all information we wanted for trips and restaurants. There are many good restaurants in Kalkan,I would recommend Chillies , the Olive garden and Cafe Vita. Saklikent Gorge, Kekova, Kas, a boat trip, and visiting a fish farm are a must. I would recommend this villa to relatives and friends and will be returning.

best visit to Turkey

Wonderful Villa This was our 3rd time at Villa Tara, we love it. The villa is ideal for our family with lots of space both inside and out. The pool is a suntrap with lots of sun loungers for chilling out, they even supply beach towels. The views are superb. We spent many evenings on the roof terrace and dining terrace just taking in the scenery. The villa is really close to the local beach and there are good restaurants only 5 minutes away. We hired a car this time and got out to see the local area. Patara beach and pink beach club were our favourites. It is only a 15 minute walk into Kalkan and we enjoyed a few nights in the harbour. There are lots of good places to eat here. We also managed a boat trip- really fun for the kids. The villa is well equipped- everything you need. There is a good supply of books and DVDs if you want a night in. Huseyin was incredibly helpful- he provided us with information before we went and can organise transfers. If you want a peaceful location but still be close to restaurants, beaches and shops this is the perfect villa. We had wonderful holiday and will definitely be back.

Fabulous

Myself and my family had a wonderful holiday. The villa was beautifully kept and with lots of dvds for the kids! We were able to go out for something to eat and come back to the villa with the children because it was just a lovely place to be. The kids were never out of the pool unless it was to eat. The kitchen was well equipped and the family enjoyed the atmosphere. Easy walking distance to the beach if a change of scenery was needed. We spent many a night on the roof terrace enjoying the wonderful views. Great place to chill and be next to all the amenities. Definitely recommended.
