Beautiful country house, tastefully restored to 5 star accommodation with many original features. Everything is provided that you could possibly need including Spanish satellite TV and WI FI. It is difficult to imagine a house with better amenities or a more privileged position. Its very close to the 20 mile long Lake Iznajar with its fishing, boating, sandy beach and even its own "chiringito", also its near to Fuente de Conde, a beautiful rugged pueblo popular with the English. The house is 10 mins away from the motorway system that can take you to Granada with it's Alhambra Palace and it's Ski Slopes and the historic city of Cordoba and it's "Mezquita" in less than an hour. Travelling south you can reach Malaga and its it's airport and resorts like Benalmadina and Torremolinos in an hour also and with the newly opened autopista you can be in the luxury of Marbella in less than one and a half hours. The 10 x 5 metres pool is deep enough for serious swimmers but has a shallow end.

Perfect Family Holiday

Fantastic house, very easy trip from MƔlaga Airport. Beautiful views, superb pool, really huge. This rustic, traditional house was perfect,we had such a great time. Loved using the wood fired pizza oven and the BBQ. Iznajar is a 10 minute drive and is really pretty and charming. Francisco and Juani were perfect hosts, thank you you for a memorable holiday

Ein toller Urlaub in einer wunderschƶnen Finca

Wir haben den Aufenthalt richtig genossen. Francisco, Juani und ihr Sohn sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit und antworten schnell jede Art von Fragen. Die Villa liegt Mitte in der Natur (daher in einer sehr ruhigen Umgebung), ist sehr liebevoll dekoriert und ausgestattet, mit allem, was das Herz begehrt: ein groƟer Pool, genug LiegestĆ¼hle, ein Grill, ein Pizzaofen (haben wir aber nicht benutzt) und auf jeden Fall genug Platz fĆ¼r 2 Familien mit insgesamt 5 Teenagern (4 Zimmer insgesamt). Das Zentrum des Orts Iznajar ist ca. 8 Kilometer entfernt und ist mit seinem andalusischen Flair ein Ausflug wert. Von der Villa aus konnten wir mit dem Auto problemlos folgende AusflĆ¼ge unternehmen: Fort Bravo little Hollywood (ca. 2 Stunden entfernt) La Alhambra (bei Granada, ca. 1 Stunde entfernt) Caminito del Rey (ca. 1 Stunde entfernt) Kajak auf dem Meer zu den Maro WasserfƤllen (in Nerja, ca. 1,5 Stunde entfernt) Rundum ein toller Urlaub und wir haben uns gut erholt.

Peace and tranquility

We had a wonderful 6 days here, relaxing, amazing scenery in a spotlessly clean and well equipped traditional renovated house. The owners were friendly and on hand if we needed anything. You need a car to access but shops are 10min drive or 20min for bigger shop. We drove to visit Cordoba, Granada and lake Iznajar during our stay, which were beautiful but we were just as happy, if not more so to stay at the accommodation, having a BBQ and sitting around the swimming pool which is bigger than looks in pictures. The outside area is huge and has shaded areas too if you want to keep out the sun. House is cool with traditionally thick walls and additional air con is provided. Some stairs may be more tricky for very young kids and for tall guests, watch your head when using the en suite šŸ˜€. Overall we had a great time & highly recommend.

Una Casa Hermosa y Tranquila

Los Caracolillos is a traditional Spanish house set in a quiet location. Our family had a fantastic time here and the photos on here do not really do justice to the outside space which is fantastic. The pool is exceptional and very big for a private villa. The house is very traditional and does have some quirks but is perfect in the setting and, while very secluded, is only 20 minutes from supermarkets and an hour from MƔlaga. Francisco and Juani were great hosts and clearly want everything to be right for their guests. If you want a peaceful stay in a beautiful location with space for the whole family then you will find that here.

Geweldige week in een fantastisch huis

Het is een van de meest fijne vakantiehuizen waar we ooit geweest zijn. Het zwembad is werkelijk geweldig. Onze 3 kinderen hebben er heerlijk gespeeld. Er zijn heerlijke schaduw en zonplekjes. Bij het zwembad is ook een fantastische bbq plek. De bedden zijn goed en werkelijk aan alles is gedacht in dit huis. Het is bijzonder karakteristiek! De supermarkt is iets verder weg dus voor een paar dagen boodschappen doen is wel noodzakelijk. Bij het tankstation dichtbij kun je elke dag verse broodjes kopen. Het meer van Iznajar is ook het bekijken waard! Een auto is wel noodzakelijk. B We komen zeker een keer terug! We hebben een geweldige week gehad!

Thank you to Juani and Francisco for the most special family holiday. Gorgeous house with the most wonderful views. Weā€™re weā€™re so sad to leave and could quite easily spent another 2 weeks there. The house is immaculate and incredibly comfortable. The pool, wow! Absolutely huge and very clean. The children as well as the adults spent a lot of time in there to cool down when it got too hot. Property perfectly situated to visit surrounding towns. Lovely restaurants in Iznajar, our favourite was Nelsonā€™s. Juani and Francisco were always contactable if we needed any help or questions answered. Thank you again.

Beautiful rural location, amenities close by

We are a family of 5 who had a great stay. Juani & family were great hosts and we enjoyed their company whenever they visited to do the pool maintenance, they helped with where to eat & places to visit. The property was great, clean and in a quiet location, pool great. We visited the local garage which is a 5 minute drive for fresh bread šŸ„–. The main supermarket was in Rute a 20 minute drive which had everything we needed. We visited Seville, Cordoba, Malaga & Grenada as well as some smaller places, all on the good motorway network which was not far. Weather was exceptionally hot so the pool was great to have. We loved the house & location and would thoroughly recommend. Thank for a great stay Juani, Francisco and Adrian.

A perfect slice of paradise

We are a family of 3 and spent a very happy week at this beautiful property. The house, pool, terrace and views are out of this world. Everything is super clean and well stocked. The house has everything for a wonderful vacation. The pool is big and perfect for swimming and water games. The large patio has lots of different areas to sit outside to enjoy the sun or keep cool in the shade There is an outside BBQ and pizza oven and we only went out for food a few times. The local restaurants are great but we loved our evening meals by the pool watching the sun go down. . The property reflects the love and hard work the owners Juani and Francesco have put into it. We can highly recommend this property and canā€™t wait to return some day soon. Thank you so much

Fabulous house & location

This property is very special! 6 of us stayed here for a week, wish it had been longer. The property is exactly as described, farmhouse local style. Spotless and great care had been taken to ensure we wanted for nothing. Extremely well equipped, particularly in the kitchen, but elsewhere also - little touches like bin bags, dishwasher tablets, loo roll, laundry, cleaning products, BBQ brickettes and even wood for the pizza oven were welcome especially in the early days before a supermarket shop. Juani and Francesco (owners) are lovely! Very accommodating, quick to respond. All linen provided, including towels and pool towels. The location is idyllic if youā€™re looking for peace and tranquility, fantastic view over rolling hills covered in olive trees. Pool is a very good size and owners come back mid week to clean one evening. Supermarket approx 20 mins away. Malaga airport 55 mins. I could not fault this property one bit, it ticked every box for us (and weā€™ve stayed in quite a few over the years across Europe) as such we will definitely be back next year, for 2 weeks next time. Herrliche Ruhe, phantastischer Garten & Pool

Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefĆ¼hlt in dem von Francisco und Juani wunderbar und mit sehr viel Liebe renovierten und dekorierten Landhaus inmitten von OlivenbƤumen. Es ist wunderschƶn und die AuƟenanlage ein Traum! So einen schƶnen Pool, immer wahnsinnig sauber und erfrischend! Es gibt zahlreiche Sitzgelegenheiten im Freien, die immer einen schattigen Platz bieten. Das Haus bleibt angenehm kĆ¼hl, insbesondere im Untergeschoss. Die RƤume in den beiden oberen Etagen unter dem Dach haben eine Klimaanlage, so dass man gut schlafen kann. Der Empfang und die Betreuung von Juani und Francisco waren sehr herzlich und sie waren immer verfĆ¼gbar, sie haben auch sehr gute Tipps zum Einkaufen und fĆ¼r Restaurants gegeben. Es war ein wunderbarer Urlaub, ganz toll, sich nach einem Ausflug in die StƤdte Malaga, Granada oder Cordoba in der Ruhe der Natur auf der Terrasse auszuruhen! Danke! P.S.: Ein kleiner Hinweis, aber nur zur Information, nicht kritisch: Die Betten sind nicht so lang, (fĆ¼r sehr groƟe Leute zur Info) und die Treppen zum Obergeschoss kƶnnten fĆ¼r kleine Kinder oder Ƥltere Menschen schwierig sein.

Un lugar para desconectar, precisamente lo que buscabamos. La piscina espectacular, zona de barbacoa y zona de patio tambiƩn. La casa tipo rural es como en las fotos. Los dueƱos muy amables y atentos. Repetiremos.

Exceptional property with amazing pool

Just arrived back from a 2 week stay at this amazing property. Francisco did an amazing job renovating this old property and Juani's style and management of the property guarantee a fabulous stay. The pool and outside space is perfect, cool in the mornings and plenty of shade in the afternoons and beautifully secluded. It is extremely hot in the afternoons at the height of the summer but inside the house remains cool and has aircon for a real cool down. The kitchen is well stocked with all that you need, and those useful things like plastic containers for left overs and a great drinks coolers. You will want for nothing. The scenery is stunning, exploring best in spring and autumn probably when it's cooler. Fab stay, thanks to you both.

Fantastic family holiday

Beautiful villa with fab pool, was a firm favourite with whole family. Juani and Francisco where charming hosts and we would definitely go back again. Local amenities and restaurants were great and very easy to visit Granada etc. Thanks for having us šŸ˜„

Stunning Villa in tranquil location

We have just returned from a 3 week stay at this beautiful villa and had one of the best holidays ever! The villa itself is stunning with the most amazing views over the olive groves. The tranquility and peace is just fantastic and certainly lends itself to a thoroughly relaxing holiday. The picture doesn't really do justice to the villa and particularly the outside space. The villa itself has everything you need, we cooked at home many nights on the bbq and also use the outside oven. The villa is very cool, even with the heat wave temperatures! Air conditioning in all but one bedrooms (which had a fan) was excellent. The pool is large, perfect for swimming in or just floating around. The outside toilet and shower was also really handy - no wet feet going into the house!! The outside space is just amazing. My elderly parents enjoyed their morning coffee on the sofa under the covered area, surrounded by lovely plants. Breakfast in the shade of the almond and olive trees with 2 tables to choose from. The seating area under the trees was just perfect whilst the sun worshipers soaked up the rays on the sunbeds. There is a lovely breeze that wafts through making sitting out just perfect. On a daily basis the local baker would call to deliver whatever bread and cakes we wanted and even arranged a birthday cake for me during our stay! You do need a car for this villa. From the main road it is a short drive up the hillside, the road is steep and narrow at parts but we had a large 9 seater vehicle and managed fine. We can recommend the restaurant at the bottom of the hill, excellent food, fish is amazing and very reasonably priced. A 10 minute drive across the bridge takes you into the ancient hilltop town of Iznajar. I was not expecting such a beautiful town, every house immaculate ,and such history. The view across the lake are stunning, clear green waters stretching on for miles. We visited the beach area on several occasions, fabulous restaurant -large portions!! Went swimming and canoeing which was great fun. The owners Juani and Francisco are so helpful and friendly people. They called several times a week to clean the pool, water plants etc. Most of our contact prior to arriving was with their very good friend Harry who is from England and translates for them. We met up with Harry one evening and he took us on a tour of Iznajar followed by a cool beer!! We would thoroughly recommend this villa and hope to return again in the near future.

Hello, we are a young married Spanish couple who dreamed of owning a house in the countryside. After looking at many, we arrived here one day and knew we had found the house of our dreams. It was in a state of ruin but had all the typical charm of the older Andalucian houses. We started work and after working for six years at weekends and nights the project was finished. We have done everything ourselves, the building, decorating, the fabrics and much more. Soon after our first son was born and to see him playing around the house fills us with pride. We would like to share our humble dream with those whom we know will enjoy it and it's surroundings as much as we do for their holidays.

O que faz essa propriedade ser Ćŗnica?

Although you will be in the countryside you will also be less than 15 minutes from the beautiful and historic "pueblo" of Iznajar with its magnificent castle, churches its narrow cobbled streets, it's enormous lake and even its own sandy beach. Within an hour you can be in Granada with Ski slopes and the world famous "Alhambra Palace" also in the same time you can be on the Costa del sol or in Cordoba with its beautiful "Mezquita"
It's in a lovely quiet place with magnificent views.
