Hi Kathryn, Thank you for taking the time out to write the review. I'm relieved that you managed to get at least a bit of sun during what was without doubt the week of the worst rains I have experienced in Pollensa in the ten years I've been here. For anyone reading this - September is regarded as the best month of the year - with the blistering heat of August having faded but still plenty warmth, both out and in the sea, and less crowds. Sadly this particular week was not that at all. In case of an misinterpretation, it's worth mentioning that the dampness issue mentioned, as a result of the storms, effected many houses in the same way. Almost everyone I know in Pollensa suffered leaks or dampness issues of some form. Nevertheless, we did get the builder to come to the villa and check whether there was any fault at the house, and it was confirmed that there wasn't. For extra peace of mind though we did add a product on the stonework to help repel excess moisture. It really was a week of freak storms. We are keeping an eye on this and can report that despite the equally torrential rains of early October, the house has managed to remain damp free. Thanks again for coming Kathryn, I hope the weather didn't put you off a return to the island, and that you make it back another time. Glad to hear you liked our restaurant suggestions.
