Cosy well equipped cottage with pool in beautiful countryside near to Florence.

The farmhouse is comfortably furnished and sleeps a maximum of five people in three bedrooms with three bathrooms. There is a patio directly outside for al fresco meals ,and a large lawn terrace down steps with a panoramic view over the surrounding countryside and distant hills. The farmhouse forms part of a tiny hamlet of three houses at the end of a country road, with no through traffic, belonging to a private wine and olive oil estate in a beautiful rural area of Tuscany surrounded by woods, vineyards and olive groves. The swimming pool is situated nearby in an olive grove with paving and a lawn area around, shaded by olive trees, between which there is a beautiful view of the countryside. The pool is shared. with two other farmhouse cottages accommodating a maximum of 8 other guests. The property is within five minutes of access to main motorways, 15 minutes to the tramway in to central Florence and the local village is within walking distance. There are several excellent restaurants within easy reach and a Bar in the local village with outside tables and chairs which serves memorable cappuccini and pastries. The owners live close by and are delighted to help or provide information at any time...

Beautiful area in country side the pool was so refreshing and a large area to enjoy the days resting quietly and spreading time with the family. Rooms were comfortable and well decorated.

My family of five simply adored this property! Pecciolino has it all: three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a full kitchen, an amazing pool within an olive grove, and of course stunning views. It is an authentic farmhouse experience. We were there during a heat wave, but luckily, the two bedrooms upstairs had air-conditioning. It is a schlep to get to Florence via the train, but otherwise we used the property as a homebase to explore Tuscany by rental car. my three kids adored the cats from the nearby residence, almost as much as the pool.

Tuscan Hillside with Pool

Wonderful stay in beautiful setting. Central location for day trips to San Gimignano, Lucca, Siena, Florence and Pisa. And pool was refreshing bonus after returning.

A wonderful place

This farmhouse/villa is simply superb. The location is idyllic - close to the city, but far enough removed to give it a real Tuscan feel. Diana is gracious, informative, and helpful. Our family loved our time here.

Spacious for families

Spacious house with air conditioning in the bedrooms. Everything we needed was available to us. There is a big book that the owner has put together that was very useful for restaurant recommendations. Bring bug spray as the mosquitos loved us. Overall great stay!

Lovely Tuscan Home

We had a nice stay at this charming Tuscan home. We wanted to stay in an older farm house which comes with pros (location, views, pool) and cons (small bathrooms, a/c in bedrooms only). We easily took trams into Florence explored nearby towns/cities as well. Car rental is a must! The host, Diana, was lovely and wanted to make sure her guests had an enjoyable experience.

The property was lovely and Diana was an amazing host.She provided a lot of information which was invaluable. Lovely villa in beautiful Tuscan countryside

We had a wonderful 5-day stay in this charming old home overlooking the beautiful Tuscan hills. The house is spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed having breakfast and coffee in the small patio outside and occasionally we cooked in the well-equipped kitchen. The upstairs bedrooms are large and comfortable and have AC. The location is excellent for exploring Tuscany; we did day trips to Florence, Pisa, Greve and other towns and villages in the area. And it was always good to come back to the cool and comfortable house at the end of the day. Diana is a lovely host, very kind and helpful. Thank you, Diana.

My family and I loved staying at this charming home for 8 nights. It was very clean, nicely decorated, and well equipped. The grounds are lush and well maintained, and the view from the back patio was gorgeous. And of course it was convenient to Florence, Siena, and many quaint villages. Diana was an attentive host and very patient with all of our questions. If you are looking for an authentic Tuscan countryside experience, you cannot go wrong staying at this property. My family and I have taken away unforgettable memories and would love to return one day. I also highly recommend the restaurant Fiore, which is just a 5-min drive. Wonderful service, delicious food, and beautiful outdoor seating area. You must try the wine they produce there as well!

Lovely Place to explore Florence and Tuscany

Very well equipped and clean old farm house with lovely furniture. Diana was most helpful with everything and answered all our many questions with patience :-) we also loved the many cats and dogs living in the neighborhood. For reaching Florence, there is even a bus going to Scandicci from where you easily take the tram to Florence. Most convenient if you prefer to go without car. Supermarkets are reachable by car only, but in about 20 min distance. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Lovely and convenient location to Tuscany and Florence

The property is a delightful place as is the host, Diana. It’s comfortable but you really are there for the rustic setting. It’s authentic and gorgeous. Some minor glitches — we never did manage a hot shower for more than a minute’s time—but the home is spacious and the kitchen fully equipped and all in working order with a responsive, attentive host as well. Diana provides a book of information on local restaurants and fun day trips that provided super helpful information and really was a big factor in our enjoyment of our stay. We would Love to return here. It’s a gem.

Thank you so much for your lovely review - I am so glad you enjoyed your holiday with us We do try to convey a feeling of authentic Tuscany and wish for Peccioli to remain a 'stronghold' of old times with modern conveniences added. I am so very sorry you had trouble with the showers - they are a little temperamental and I should have explained that they have to be always kept on a medium heat, if the water is turned on too hot the thermostat panics and switches to cold water until it has cooled down! Once one knows this they work fine. I do apologize. Again Thank You. You were lovely guests and I do hope you return one day, it would be a real pleasure to see you again.

Charming Tuscan cottage

We stayed in the Farmhouse for 5 nights in June 2016. The cottage is rustic, but has all needs. It is a great place to escape the frenzy of Italian big cities, but close enough to get into Florence easily. Downstairs is the living room, kitchen, small bedroom with bath and another full bath. First floor does not have A/C. On the second floor is a bedroom with en suite full bath and a second bedroom. Upstairs rooms are individual A/C. Diana was lovely to work with and checked in on us during the stay to make sure we had everything we needed. I could definitely spend more time here and hope I get to some day.

Visions of Tuscany

Truly enjoyed our quiet stay in the Tuscan countryside. This property is what you envision when you think of rolling hills, olive trees and true Tuscan living. The house is a little off the beaten path but well worth the drive. Diana and Gianfranco are wonderful hosts. The check-in process went smoothly and Diana came to personally greet us and make sure we had everything we needed. We also enjoyed the bottle of wine, which was a welcome surprise. If you are looking for a nice, quiet and relaxing place to enjoy your visit to Tuscany - this place is for you! Modern conveniences in a well preserved original farmhouse. Many thanks to Diana and Gianfranco. If you book this place, we hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

Tuscan delight

Set inthe Tuscan hills outside of Florence this rustic and charming farmhouse was everything we had hoped for and better. We arrived in August when they were experiencing high temperatures in the late 30 degrees. Diana the amazing owner had left bottles of wine for us and met us after arrival. The house was perfect for us all and a huge plus was it had air conditioning which was necessary in these temperatures. We had a week here and most days did day trips to towns in the area.(Lucca, Siena ,San Gimignano Florence etc) It was fabulous to be able to come home and swim and relax by the large pool and chat with the lovely other guest family. In the evenings we ate out at the amazing restaurant 5 mins up the road (Fleuris) or cooked in the well equipped kitchen . Overall a beautiful place and area to stay in . Thankyou Diana for everything.

Quaint cottage in amazing location in the Tuscan hills!

Diana is a wonderful host. She tended to all our needs and inquiries promptly. Beyond the information book that she put together for her guests she gave recommendations for restaurants and local information. Diana opened the pool for us and we were able to enjoy all the sunny days at the gorgeous pool area overlooking the Tuscan and hills and olive groves. The house is quaint and Rustic with a fabulous large fireplace in the living..we made a fire every night..Wonderful! We cooked lovely meals and had our breakfast coffee in the small patio..which leads down to the groves and giant aloe bushes. Just be aware that downstairs ensuiite bed/bathroom is small. The house is charming and a bit small and be aware (for older folks) that the 2 other bedrooms require Going up a flight of stairs. One upstairs bedroom is ensuiit. The location is Outstanding! Nettes, typisches Haus in der Toscana auf einem Gelände mit 3 oder 4 weiteren Häusern bzw. Wohneinheiten, dennoch ist man mit eigenem uneinsehbaren Garten sehr für sich und fühlt sich sofort wohl. Die Ausstattung hat alles, was man braucht. Die Klimaanlagen in den Schlafzimmern waren bei fasst 40 Grad im Juli ein echter Gamechanger. Der Ausblick ist fantastisch, der Pool direkt in Hausnähe eine willkommene Abwechslung. Wir haben die Ruhe sehr genossen und entspannen können, sowie Florenz, Pisa und andere Orte in unmittelbarer Nähe erkundet. Vielen Dank.

The quintessential Tuscan farmhouse

Gorgeous views, several truly great restaurants surprisingly close by, locally-produced wines, cheeses, salumi, prosciutto, truffles, castles, cathedrals, monasteries, museums all within easy reach, a wonderful old-school kitchen, comfortable livingroom, patio, walks, we loved it. It has a few quirks, but that's what you get in a historic building. The charm more than makes up for any little inconveniences and Diana was nothing short of wonderful.

I am 65 years old and of half Swedish and half English birth. Now happily married to an Italian and we have two grown-up sons, Nicolo and Guido. My husband and I live in the main villa on a wine and olive oil estate which has belonged to my husband's family for over 400 years, and the villa we offer to you is one of the original farm houses on this estate. We are very much "hands on" and try to give guests the maximum help and comfort possible. The area is beautiful, and private, and yet within a few minutes of main routes to a large number of wonderful cities in Tuscany, principally of course Florence.

This property is part of a wine and olive oil growing estate near to Florence in Tuscany. The estate has belonged to the same family since Renaissance times and this farmhouse was originally a farm workers cottage - now restored to provide a cosy and comfortable holiday home without losing its original character and charm. Pisa airport is 45 mins by car, Florence airport 30 mins by car and Florence centre is easily accessible for day trips by tramway from nearby Scandicci.

The farmhouse is 15 kms from Florence and the nearest tram stop is 10 mins away by car. The surrounding countryside is totally unspoilt, peaceful and beautiful, and yet there is easy access to all main autostrada routes.
